Harry squinted down at the track. Tori...which one was she again? Oh, the troll. She certainly was the prettiest troll Harry had ever seen. All the trolls in Fae were rather hideous. And for the first time, Harry wondered if Monster High was a bit farther from home than he had ever realized. He shook that thought off and smiled at Venus.
"Sorry. I don't know her well at all. I, uh, kinda went all spazoid by accident in the greenhouse. She was pretty ticked off and I was still in Wail Street Square mode. I need to apologize to her too."
Man, he was gonna to start a list.

Ah so that's who caused a mess in her green house. And explains Tori's sudden shift in mood. Since her Gloom and Bloom flower was damaged, so was she. "You may want to fix her plant first. It's effecting her mood. She'll be more accepting of your apology that way." Venus offered, helpfully. She wasn't angry at Harry, sure he didn't mean it.

Cassandra MH Cassie slid right through the were-bees without a problem, she was plastic they couldn't sting her.. the real problems for her were now the weight activated panels put too much weight on them for too long, they send out a glue that sticks you in your place. but not enough weight they drop down through the catacomb floor....and Cassie wasnt that heavy for the registered limit. which means she had to move FAST
"Looks like I'm up!" Rocco stood up and prepared himself to be launched through the chute that would send him to take the sticky skater's place. He stopped to give Atomica a sarcastic wink. "Good thing we have so many able-bodied skaters on OUR team!""DORKUS MAXIMUS!" Atomica called after him as he launched. Although she was glad Monster High was staying in this battle so far, she kind of hoped that somemonster would get knocked out soon and give her a chance to skate. The only other option would be to wait for the second round....

Aside from wincing every time someone got hurt, which was alot. Essi wasn't even sure who was winning or not...sports were weird...
Her stomach felt weak. She'd need some food soon. None magically crafted food, that's stuff may be high high calorie but Essi was craving a veggie burger or something else healthy at this point. Maybe she'd go treat herself when this was done. She heard there was a nice Die-ner round here...
"Were-bee's?!" Essi's tail might have attracted one...which might have stung Akito...which then died once it tried to go to her tail again.

Nero barely got through the glue trap. Speed was never his strong point. Well, until you got him to the top of the hill, then it was hard to stop going down.
"Bzzz, bzz bazzzzz bzzzzz," a werebee buzzed in her ear. He had picked up a few friends on the way through that trap. Well, most bees are female, after all. They buzzed around him in little heart-shaped clouds.
"You said it, Beelinda."
"BZZZ! Bzz buzzz BZ BZT!" another shout-buzzed at him.
"I see it, Beeana!"
Coming up rapidly was the the Suspiciously Calm Looking Vine Garden, a trap where some of the vines were everyday vines and some of them were terrible, grasping, thorny Caveblooming Spikeshade (Dreadera zhombea) that would grab you and shake you. They were some of the most ornery plants in the world, so they were of course planted liberally in the catacombs for use as obstacles. There deep magenta and indigo flowers seemed to stare at the skaters like big, angry floral eyes. Blooming vines were ESPECIALLY ORNERY.
Nero ducked! He dodged! He weaved! He twirled! He used all of his best dance moves to try and fake out these vines, but it wasn't quite enough. One grabbed his ankle, he tried to keep skating but it's hard when you're suspended in the air. As the vine tightened around his leg, he was glad he'd worn shin-guards.
"Bzzzzzzzzzz! Bzz bzzzzzzt bzt BZT bzzz!"
"Bzzz BZT!"
"Bzzz BZT!"
"Bzzz BZT!"
"Bzzz BZT!"
"Bzzz BZT!"
"Bzzz BZT!"
A tiny chorus of buzzes eminated from the werebees and they swarmed around the flowers. They buzzed! They bzzzted! They did the strange little dance of werebees. The vine holding him slowly relaxed.
"What's going on?" he asked, realizing he was still suspended more than a dozen feet above the ground, watching some of Granite City's team skate ahead.
"Bzzzzzzzes, bzzzzt bzzzz zzzzzz bz bzt btzzzz bzzzzzzzz."
"Oh! I get it! They're so ornery because they grow in caves and it's hard to get bees to come pollinate their flowers. Ladies, this is so nice of you."
"Bzzzzt."
The vine relaxed a little more.
"But...uh....could I maybe not...plummet to the ground?" he asked hopefully, double checking his helmet was on tight.
"Bzzzzzzzzzz."
The werebees started buzzing back and forth. He felt the vine's grip tightening again, but this time it also started swinging him around in a circle.
"Ummmm...." he started.
Faster, faster, he whirled through the air, and suddenly was released. He arced upwards and realized the vine had very helpfully launched him up the track. He sailed over his opponents, and several traps, towards the finish line for the first heat.

"GO Nero!!" Tori shouts at the top of her lungs! She was super thrilled that he was going to win the first bout!
Just as the crowd was on their feet cheering Nero on suddenly a ramp appeared and the ground, including the finish line, cracked and moved away, leaving a gap to the murky moat below.

Everyone cheered as the blue boo did the thing that lead to winning?! Hurrah!?
Everyone did the wave and stood up to hoot and holler. Short Essi stood on the bleachers to see. At least the were bees were gone....no..the vines started blooming some lovely purple flowers that emitted a scent of honeydew....very relaxing/sleepy scent.
A moat showed up. How many obstacles were left? Essi saw some electric eels and tentacles popping up and down...

Nero was a very earth-bound bro. He worked out, he lifted heavy things, and as a result he got bigger and...well...heavier. He was solid as a rock, and like any rock he was succumbing to gravity." bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" It was very faint." bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" But it was getting louder." Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz." He craned his neck around and saw not a cloud, but a thunderstorm of werebees barreling towards him." BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ" " Beelinda! Beeatice! Beeana! Beedre! Beelilah! Beenise!" Nero was drowned out by all the buzzing as the werebees surrounded him. The crowd gasped." HE'S COVERED IN BEES!" shouted Deadie Buzzard, one of the Fanglish exchange students." Ladies," he said, " it's so nice of you to keep me company in my final moments before I dragged to my doom by unknown creatures." They buzzed at him."What's that?" The wings thrummed around him. Was it his imagination, or did he feel himself slowing down? No, the wind was definitely coming predominantly from the bees and NOT because he was hurtling at impossible speeds towards the pit of doom.
The werebees strained. He was still basically an impeccably chiseled boulder." You can do it!" Nero cheered. They carried him over the pit of watery doom, tentacles and snapping fish not even trying because who wants to mess with a giant ball of werebees? No one.
Nero plopped over the finish line, face down in the dirt and the bees all collapsed around him, panting." Ladies, I am taking you ALL out for shakes after this."

The crow at monster high erupted with chats of "Go Monster High!" As Nero sounded the buzzer signaling the first round was won!
"HA! Fightagous!" Tori cheered jumping up in hexcitment. "I'm up next!" She quickly dashed off to the starting line, taking Nero's place on the team!
Surprisingly, she had a sudden fearlessness wash over her, Nero's win helped her gain more confidence.
"Heh those Rock-head are going to be drinking out of our boots in no time!"

That ghoul has totally lost her cruel."Everyone watched as a trapdoor opened and out popped the three members of New Dead hopped out....with fake unicorn horns strapped to their foreheads. They began to dance and gyrate right in Tori's path. "AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW MONSTER HIGH, DON'T YOU DARE BE SOWAH! CLAP YOUR HANDS AND FEEL THE POWAH....OF THE NEW DEAD! NEW DEAD ROCKS! NEW DEAD ROCK!"

Demona ran a hand through her bangs and tried hexting everything live to Kai, but everything was moving so fast she couldn't keep up. She didn't know any sports terminology, She wished Kai were here Maybe Nero could help hexplain... Kai Merha To: Kai <3 Nero jmp ovr rver thngy & flyin thingies halp. Cnt C good. I dunno wht happen. he win Demona thought. Surely Kai must've told him...Does Nero even like me I mean he seemed way to hexcited to get Kai Back on the field. What am I saying of course he thinks I'm rad. Look at me I Slay Demona took a selfie before going down to wait for Nero to be free from.. were bees? "So that's what those are....man I picked a really bad seat" She leaned against the gate watching the game from behind the benches. One of Rocco's goons looked at her while she was fixing her hair....as if there was anything that needed to be fixed!

"Go Tori!!!" Draconia cheered, before the New Dead popped up in her path. "Oh no!"
Draconia nearly jumped in mortal fear for her friend. "Despite their request, Tori DOES look rather sour! I daren't think she will clap at all!"
Indeed, Tori did not clap as she barreled towards the three monsters, who were doing a crazy booty-shaking dance directly in her path. Meanwhile, the spooktators all looked back at the finish line to see who else would cross and which team would be ahead in the second heat...

Tori puffed her tusks out seeing New Dead, but she didn't slow it down, rather picked up speed! The crowed was still cheering for Nero's victory, they soon would cheer for her as well!
Using her momentum she held out her hand to the dancing Trio, and grabbed onto them as she flies by, dragging them by their own skates, Surprisingly they each held on the the next and were pulled along.
"Why be the fearleaders when you can be the stars!" she called back to them. "C'mon!! it's time to win for Monster High!"
