Beck woke up as sunlight appeared and shown on his face. Yawning, he woke up and looked at everyone with a smile. "Good morning." he said and looked at the messenger who was still snoring rather loudly. His body all sprawled out among the bed as he slept. The other guards were putting on their armor or eating some food they brought with them. "Want some ale, Your Highness?" offered one of the knights, holding a cup out to Beck as he began to put his armor on as well. "Thanks but no. I'm not much of a drinker." said the King meekly. The guard nodded and finished off his cup before saying "If you like, I can go down stairs and see if they serve coffee."

Beck suddenly perked up and nodded with a smile. "Sure. Sounds good." The guard got up after taking a bite of his bread loaf and looked at the others to ask if they wanted anything. The two guards shook their heads and waited for orders. When the guard got to the door and opened it, he froze and blinked as a magical spell circle floated in front of him before laying itself on his armor and letting out a deafening explosion, sending the knight back from a large cloud of smoke. Everyone in the room jumped at the sound of it and looked. Stunned. Beck held up his hand and drew a dagger, lacing the edge with magick as he slowly walked towards the door before making a signal to one of the knights to check on the comrade.

Once Beck got to the door he slowly put his hand on the doorway, covering his palm in a green aura so as to check any other spells around. "Well...that was the only one." he said before stepping into the hallway and looking around at the stunned faces. "Odd...that was a very intricate spell..." mumbled Beck before saying "Who here has the ability to use magick?" His eyes scanned everyone's faces before continuing. "Whoever it is must be very skilled as this is no ordinary spell, but a hex."

Beck let out a small sigh and said "Get him onto the horse. Now this is an order. Whoever has the ability to do spells, I, Beck Faowind, your New King. Command the caster of this hex to come forward!" His eyes slowly scanned over the new people before yelling down stairs "I'd also like a cup of coffee if you sell them here."

Beck grunted in anger as he said "As you may have guessed one of my men has been knocked out by the hex. Now I explicitly order the mage who cast it come forth!"

Beck took a step aside in the silent hall for his knights to pass by.

Beck slimmed his eyes at the man who woke up before saying "Nothing, just wondering who the hell put a hex on my door and injured one of my soldiers." Anger flashed for a split second in his eyes before the little circles in his head began to examine the man who just arrived in his own doorway.

Beck blinked a bit before bursting into laughter. "Why yes! I do think I'm the King!" he said after about a good minute of laughter before saying "I'm King Faowind. Your new King." he said with even more laughter. The thought that one man didn't know he was the new King most likely meant he was on the right track to Nibelheim.

Beck looked at the man and chuckled before saying "Hexes and magick are two different arts." He then began to walk towards the man. "I could imagine a person like you would know the difference."

Beck blinked as though he misheard. "Are you admitting to using the hex that injured one of my men?" Asked the King as anger flooded through him. A small sphere of blue magick began to swirl in his palm before expanding outward and consuming his hand as it formed a fist. "Were you a damn drunk when you did this hex?" Asked Beck as he slowly began to walk towards the man.
