Andarien hadn't seen the upstairs bedroom that Miyuki was staying in since their first day in the city, when the plan had been for him to stay there with her, so he let her lead the way into the house and to the room.
"Do you have a lot of them, then?" he asked Miyuki curiously. "I ... have kind of been forgetting about it, what with working all the time ... so many things going on ..."

"A good number of them, relatively speaking," Miyuki replied, "I had been giving some to Shiro to see if he could recreate those potions for the Pokemon..."
And since they were back on land she could use other fruits to see if her storage seals would work properly.
"But it's good enough for the moment," she added, "I guess I could see about growing more since we'll be here a while. They do grow quite fast."

Andarien nodded. "Yeah, they do." He looked down at Eon and stroked his head tenderly. "I hope they're all right. They were gone such a long time ..."
Eon looked up at Andarien and nuzzled his hand.

"Well they look alright," Miyuki had to admit as she led the way to the room.
They were oddly not at all in bad shape, she had to really wonder what they ate while they were out there. Though she found over time that they could eat just about anything but mostly fruit was the best.
She hadn't closed the door all the way, so Miyuki could push the door open and let herself and her brother in. The plants had a place by the window still.

Andarien looked around the room curiously and stood just inside the door. He could see that Miyuki had really made herself at home here, just as he had made himself quite at home in his room at Corazin's shop.
"Home sweet home," he quipped, setting Eon down on the floor.
The Pokemon stretched a bit and bounded over to Miyuki and looked up at her. He was waiting for her to put Ai down, though Andarien didn't realize that and thought that he was just waiting to be fed.

Nor did Miyuki realize that Eon was waiting for her to put Ai down, so she ended up putting Ai down the bed. Since that was often where Ai slept. Once her arms were free she went for the stash of berries she kept that was stored in a special bag in her drawer.
"Let's see...." she murmured as she looked around for the bowl she sometimes used to feed Ai.
Ai, meanwhile jumped down from the bed, rather than wait for Eon to jump up.

Eon placed himself next to Ai and sat down to wait patiently for Miyuki to feed him and Ai. While they waited, he licked Ai's neck, grooming her - for pleasure more than anything, since despite their week in the forest they were rather clean.
Andarien watched the exchange and rubbed the back of his neck thoughtfully. "Mi," he murmured, "d'you think Eon and Ai are sweet on each other?"

Miyuki turned around, with one bowl in one hand and the bag in the other.
"Hmmm?" she looked down to see Ai nuzzling Eon as she was being groomed.
Her brain did a stutter, mainly because that was the most affectionate she had ever see the two. It was kind of cute and yet at the same time kind of strange.
"Looks like it?" she questioned as she carefully set down the bowl and poured out some berries.
She was use to them playing but this was more physical affection than she was use to seeing out of them.

Eon's ears perked up when he heard the sound of the berries pouring into the bowl and he gave Ai one final n** before nudging her towards the bowl so that she could eat first.
Andarien sat on the edge of the bed and watched the two Pokemon. Their behaviour was odd indeed, stranger than anything he'd seen before. Of course, he hadn't had the privilege of watching any people during their courtships, otherwise he might have thought even more of it.
"Mi, why do you think they were gone for so long?" he asked quietly, looking up at his sister. "Why would they leave us like that?"

Miyuki scratched the back of her head, because she didn't quite get what was going on too. Granted the girly part of her thought it was utterly adorable that Eon was looking out for Ai like that.
She watched Ai eat some of the berries first and wondered if she was missing something.
"Maybe they figured it was safe enough, but that probably isn't a good explanation...." Miyuki murmured, "I have no clue.... I wonder if it's a Pokemon thing."

Andarien shrugged. He wouldn't know. All he knew was that Ponydash had never done something like that ... but then again, he hadn't really had the chance, either. Maybe they would find out in the future.
In the meanwhile, Lin and Earendil had gone back to the library, where they hadn't been since their first day exploring the city. They had been very busy, and only now, a few months after their arrival, had they remembered that they had promised to return to ask the librarian the names of people who had left Caras Galadhon to scout out the other countries.
"If we end up knowing any of these people," Earendil quipped to Lin as they approached the enormous building, "then I'm going to have to wonder if my family - the Aldrich family, I mean - is some kind of magnet for the incredible and inexplicable."

Lin looked up at her husband in a bemused sort of fashion.
"And you haven't already?" she asked him rhetorically.
Really, he had known her for how long and only this would determine if his family was a magnet for all things legendary and awesome?

"All right, I warrant you that we've already had the most amazing things happen to us," he admitted with a chuckle. "But honestly I had never imagined that anything else so amazing could ever happen. If it does turn out to be the case, don't you think it will be even more than we ever could have expected?"
He reached out to open the door for her and held it so that she could enter the library first.

"To be honest...." Lin murmured, "I've been a bit suspicious since the day Aranxia wore those clothes given to her by Galanna, they look awfully familiar to me."
So she had to wonder, especially since for the most part there wasn't a huge amount of difference between clothing when it came to the Light and Dark elves of the Four Lands. Any difference was chalked up to environmental reasons.

"Now that you mention it," Earendil said thoughtfully, entering behind Lin, "I did have the feeling I'd seen something like it before ..."
Amanya was, as usual, behind her desk, working from several books and making notes on a separate sheet of paper. Shiro was also predictably in one of the study booths, where he had pretty much planted himself when they're arrived in the city.
"Good morning," Earendil greeted the librarian with a smile.
She looked up from her work, her bicoloured eyes first curious, then welcoming as she recognized her visitors. "Welcome back," she greeted them, rising to her feet. "I had begun to wonder when you would return."
