Miyuki smiled at that as she carefully placed Ai into Alassëa's hands. Ai squeaked at this, but let this be done all the same. It felt strange for the Eevee though to be held by someone that wasn't its owner.

"Senka comes from a species that was gifted with the ability to speak, but they originally come from Gaia. There are only three that were brought over to this world. Senka, Saki who lives in the Borderlands and Whisper who lives in Amon Darthir."

Ai seemed to grin as she lifted her head up to be petted more and chirped happily at this fact.

"Ai is called a Pokemon, but her specific stage or race is called an Eevee," Miyuki tilted her head.

Actually, Pokemon growth was more confusing than any other stage grower she had ever met. Normally a stage grower would stay the same race once it grew, but it was clear Eevees did not fall into that same catagory.

"Eevees have the ability to grow or change into another species depending on where they are, or you can give them a stone to make sure that when they grow they will grow into a particular species. Each specie has an element affinity... well for the most part. Ai will grow into an Espeon during the day and Andarien has one too called Eon who will grow into an Umberon during the night."

"It's all new to mom too, normally mom's side of the family keeps pets just as pets, even though they do have a few who could be used as guards. This is the first time anyone has gotten a pet just for protection, and these creatures were suggested to mom by a shopkeeper in Gaia."

So they were pretty much learning too, and were just as in the dark at times.

Ai tried to move her head out of the way, curious as to why Alassëa was touching her that way. She did lick the tips of Alassëa fingers and made a squeaky question.

Ai blinked and looked at Alassëa's eyes. She had never seen a blind person before. Finally, the Eevee settled down to let Alassëa feel around. It gave off a rapid two squeaks as if to say to keep going.

This interaction Miyuki watched carefully, because Iorlas had mentioned something about how the Pokemon seemed to be quite gifted to be able to understand regardless of language.

Ai squeaked happily, and while she would let Alassëa feel her, it didn't stop her from trying to watch the process as much as she could without moving her body. Which meant she couldn't see much since her head would only turn so far.

"Yes," Miyuki replied as she took Ai back.

Though she couldn't help but nod purely out of habit, even though she knew Alassëa couldn't see.

"I'll be talking with Shiro again sometime soon more about what Eevees can do and Ai's other form. Since there's a lot I don't quite understand."

"Yes, I would like that very much. I do have other lessons as well, but when we sail, there will be a lot of time to get into a routine of some sort."

She would try to upkeep her lessons of course when they were traveling, but she knew how hard it was. It made Miyuki look forward to being on a ship again.
