((I'm actually Numbers postin', just on Bele's computer))
Owen listened as the other two came up with what they were fighting, grinning largely. He turned and walked towards a corner of his large room, dragging over the rocking chair his mother had once used to rock him to sleep as a baby. "This can be the giant sciro- scorpian." Owen flushed at the stammer, somewhat embarrassed that he couldn't wrap his mouth around the words for a moment. Laughing when they made the teddy bear the evil wizard, Owen rushed over to Kyle Alexander. "Shall we approach the evil wizard-bear, brave knight!?"
Slaine listened intently as Ben walked them through all the different places they could go, nodding and making the mental notes. When he offered to help them haggle, Slaine gave a nod, and glanced at the others. "What do you think? We are sort of in a rush."
Kennard stopped and turned back around, staring at the beastial. "Seems every time I turn around there's more of you in my castle." Kennard stopped, and glanced at Viktor and Liliya, his eyes cold and calcuating. "Very well. Viktor will remain in the prison for four months, but Lady Liliya, I expect you on your way out of my country within a week. Set up a home for your husband while he rots." Kennard swung around, then stopped. "There are many crimes in my country that I'll never stop, but by god, if there is one I wish I could, it is child abuse. Children have to place their entire trust in their poarents, and if that's misplaced, children are left with nothing. No hope, no love, no trust in themselves or others. You are true scum, no matter how you rationalize your actions." Kennard kept walking, looking for Demitri to inform him of his decision.
Oralee glanced over at Madison and Pet, smiling very softly. "They sure have interesting antics, hm?" Oralee gave a nod at his comment. "Yes, we are. And I truly feel sorry for all who cannot find appreciation in music." Oralee may have been taught the music as a cover, but she'd always loved it. Turning towards her horse, Oralee lifted the light case from teh saddle that was her violin. "Would you like to hear me play while we wait?"
Loa laughed softly at Kailey. "Even a king cannot just change laws just like that. He must get approval from at least a portion of his court. I will most likely never have my prince." Loa would have closed her eyes wistfully, but she had to focus on where she was flying. "I-... I sometimes wonder how different things might have been were he not the prince. Had he been just a noblemens son, he could have shirked his responsibility and maybe loved me. But... my prince is the only one holding off the war all the nobles want, a war that will leaveno winner."

Lorne was a little insulted by the King, but wasn't going to let it slide. "Your Majesty?" He said stepping forward, "Yes, I am a beastial. Yes, I am in your castle. No, I am not from your country. I am from Incolumitas. And I am here, in the castle because I escorted Miss Vasilisa, in order to make sure that her parents didn't try to accost her when she decided to depart from my group of friends, to come here." He said, standing proudly. "I understand that my kind is looked down upon in this country. That we are mostly servants and lower workers. But, in my country, we are all equal. I am friends, with humans, other beastials.....even an elf." He said softly. "I'd like it if one day I could look at a beautiful country like yours and call it home. Without having to be a slave or servant." He said not caring if the king even heard him, or payed attention. He just felt the need to voice his opinion.
Riordan was shocked at Lorne words. He sounded almost like Jeremy. But maybe after living a life of equality, he couldn't stand being looked down upon because of his race. He had no idea how or if he father would respond. Instead he would attend to the matter of Vasilisa, but remain ready to intervene if Lornes words enraged his already angered father. "Vasilisa, anything left in your family home is your property, and your family's land will be put in your name. But you are welcome to stay here at the castle, as my personal guest for as long as you like."
Jeremy turned to face Rose, shocked but delighted. He smiled as it dawned on him. He wanted nothing more than to take her in his arms, but there was too much a chance of someone seeing them, and she was still 'being courted' by the Prince. Jeremy laid a hand upon Rose's arm, "As much as it pains me to say this, we will; have to continue this later in a more private setting."
Kailey sighed, "Well, maybe that playmates family will help. Or perhaps, your Prince could let the little one take over. Once he's doing better of course." she said softly. "I mean, there has to be some sort of advisor or a regent that won't let them degenerate into a war, right?" She shrugged, "I'm sorry. I guess I'm a romantic sometimes. I can tell, just by listening how totally in love with him you are. I think you should be able to be with him in some way." She sighed, "Tell me about him? What he looks like, what he does, his hobbies. Any special magic that he does? I believe Exortensis perfected the art of summoning. Oh, and whats his name? I can;t just keep calling him Prince."
Alexandre smiled to Oralee. "Oh, of course. As I said, I enjoy it, I merely have to no talent of my own. All my talents laid in militaristic endeavors." He said with a shrug, before smiling to Madison and Pet, "They seem almost like family."

Vasilisa watched as at first her parents were to go to jail. Then Lorne spoke up about exile and Vasilisa's eyes widened. Her mother didn't know any other home than Exortensis, and would probably get lost on the way to another city. That's when the King spoke of what would happen. Her mother was exiled, gone within a week and her father would sit in jail for four months before he joined her. She watched as her father was escorted by the guards to jail and her mother, to her house. She turned to Riordan, pretty sure Lorne could handle this argument and listened. That property was hers, the things left in there, hers. She smiled and Riordan offered for her to stay in the castle as long as she liked. "Thank you." The swelling had gone down enough now for her to sound normal, even though it still showed where she was hit. She curtsied and put her head down, happily letting tears down her cheeks. I'm finally free.
Faelynn stayed close in the group, making mental notes as well. "Let's get some fruit, to tide us for the time being of course. Then we can meet up with the others."
Godelieve nodded in agreement with Faelynn. She still hadn't spoken, but instead looked up at the castle. She wondered how Lorne was doing, and if he had made any messes in the castle.
Pet just smiled nervously, trying to form a coherent sentence. After all, he was a fourteen year old boy. Any girl hugging him would freeze him up for a moment. "I'm fine! Let's go stand with the others." He had shifted out of looking like a five year old, and showed his true looks. He was much taller now, and his hair was much shorter. He then grabbed her hand and blushed, pulling her towards Oralee and Alexandre.
((I updated Pet's profile, if you want to see what he really looks like, check out the profile thread))

The rainbow from the mist dissipated quickly. She returned her gaze to the water. She waved her hand back and forth slowly creating small waves. With a twist she sent little curls across the surface. "My actions would probably not be looked at favorably if my father were to find out. He doesn't like this country and isn't exactly quiet about it." She said thinking of what he would said if she told him she had been not only visiting Exortensis but speaking with its prince. "Sorry if I made it seem like I had a plan. I'm kind of winging it at this point. However, I find this Prince and his advisor intriguing. So I'm going to see where it goes." She stated with a small smile before looking toward Shade. "I'm a bit surprised you didn't ask about my lineage now that its out in the open." She said though after traveling with Shade it wasn't that surprising. He wasn't the type to simply inquire without cause.

Jody stayed where he was after Riordan ran off to find the intruder. His visitors did not seem to be paying him any attention, which he figured was a good thing. They even stayed within earshot. Jody couldn't help but envy Sophie's luck--arrested, brought within the castle walls, freed, and basically given free range. Well, I guess not really. The opportunity's there, if she were sneaky enough about it. Really, she's in almost the same position as you, except she can leave if she wants. He was tempted to start a conversation with them out of curiosity, but decided to keep quiet, figuring he'd probably learn more about them by listening than by asking questions.

King Kennard stopped, and turned back to him. Looking into Lornes eyes, Kennard shook his head. "My choices are too often made for me." Was all he said, before turning and striding away with a kingly flourish. King Kennard was not a man of change. He was a man to keep things from getting worse, and had made his country grow in it's endeavors- but not change it's culture. The more Kennard interacted with Beastials that did not accept their fate, the more he realized they might not have deserved it, the way he'd been taught. The way he had tried to teach his elder son. Pushing his hair out of his face, he groaned inwardly, he was far too old for this. Loa listened to Kaileys barrage of questions, admittedly amused, but in a bittersweet way. "Mayhap my circumstances will change, but it is not likely." Loa thought of Jeremy, the only old-blooded noble she knew beyond her prince who did not scorn her. Without realizing she was answering Kailey's questions, Loa began to speak of her prince. "He is tall, with the palest blond hair it practically glows. It puts the crown he refuses to wear to shame. He has blue eyes, just like all of his family, the shade of their countries jewel. He doesn't have many hobbies any longer, but he used to love going into the forest with me. We'd often rescue the forest animals. He is a complete master of summoning magic, as any crown prince should be." At the last question, Loa's voice shriveled. "He is my prince. I do not yet have the place to call him or refer to him by his given name. I apologize." Loa's voice had been radiating her love, showing in every word how much of her being was taken up by him- but with the last statement, it was like a cold brick wall had fallen. Even Loa, however, did not notice the hope she had unconsciously carried- a hope betrayed by one word. Yet. Inwardly quite happy that he had requested she play, Oralee removed her violin from it's case, stepped away, and shifted into position. Closing her eyes, she took a moment to collect herself, and mentally align her being with the mood of the music. Lifting the bow above the strings, she let the tension build before she finally laid it down and began to play with all the skill and flourish of an artist who loved their medium. The music jumped and trilled, and lent itself it's own grace. Her eyes remained closed throughout the performance, like she was looking within, or perhaps like all she wished to see was the beauty of each note. Lorne wanted to say more to the king. If other made the decisions without him, maybe it was time for some new blood. Younger, more accepting nobles. Not the old, stuck in their pompous arrogant ways. Lorne sighed sadly and turned a sharp glare to the Prince, "Okay, Princey, times are changing. When the time comes, what will you do? Follow the paths of old? Or try to change the future for the better? Just look at those around you? The people you hold dear? I'm sure that at least someone you care about, cares about a beastial. Think about them. Now if Miss Vasilisa is safe, I have people that I need to find." He said before bowing, "I take my leave. I'll show myself out of the castle." He said before turning on his heel and making his way towards the castle entrance.
Riordan was shocked by Lornes outburst but sighed softly at his words. It wasn't that far removed. He wouldn't deny it. He loved Loa. But, there just wasn't a why for them to be together. "I hope to see you again, Mr. Lorne." He said as the fox walked off. He then looked to Vasilisa, "He's so much like Jeremy its almost scary." He said before going wide-eyed, "Oh no. I left her in the garden. I'm sorry, I have an urgent matter to take care of. Will you be okay?" He said remembering Sophie left in the garden.
Alexandre smiled. The music was beautiful. "Ora.....Nye...That was lovely." He said, almost calling her by her real name. "I have gained an even deeper appreciation for msuic just by hearing.....what in The Creators name..." He said as he looked towards the castle gates, and he saw Lorne. "Nye, tell me I'm insane, and Lorne isn't exiting the castle. How did he get in there?"

Oralee put her instrument away, bowing slightly out of habit. "Thank you." Oralee didn't know why his praise meant more to her than all the applause she'd ever received, some from the most noble of nobles. Distracted by his unique expletive, she glanced towards the castle gates, amazed at the rage she felt when she saw Lorne exiting the castle. "I went to so much trouble for a cover, too." She waited until he was further from the castle, before walking up to him. "What happened that you ended up in the castle on your own?"

Lorne blinked at Oralee. "Oh, uh....hi to you too." He said a little shocked, "I was escorting Vasilisa. Her parents attacked her, so to keep her safe, I escorted her here. And I met the Prince. And the King. All in all, I've had my fill of nobility for the day. Though the Prince seems nice. A real gentleman." he said cocking his head at Oralee, "Is there a problem with that? I mean, I couldn't leave her to her parents. Her dad slapped her across the face. In the middle of the street. Who knows what he would've done in private."
Kailey grinned widely as Loa spoke. She caught the word 'yet', from Loa. But she wouldn't say anything. "Oh. so you can't even tell me his name? Come on. Unless I'm gonna call him Prince Cutey or something. Cause he sounds gorgeous. And its just us girls. I won't say anything to anyone about you saying his name."

Oralee shook her head. "No, there isn't anything wrong with that. I'm just worried you might have blown the cover I snuck in and got for us with the king." Taking a moment, she walked Lorne through the cover as well, as she walked him back towards the rest of the group. "So, did you do or say anything that might threaten that if you enter with the 'music troupe and it's protectors'?"
Loa shook her head, the picture of somberness. "I cannot speak his first name. I physically cannot." Loa tried to remember when not, but the memory eluded her. "I simply can and will not speak his name until..." Loa's eyes saddened. "Until and if I ever am able to call him by his name in front of his father without retribution." Loa chuckled at the 'prince cutey', though it was a little hollow. "I appreciate teh secrecy." Loa closed her eyes for only a moment and forced herself to reveal something. "His name starts with R. That's really all I can bring myself to say."

Lorne bit his lips, "Well.....I did kinda rant to the king a bit. I told him that I like the country.....just not they beastials are treated. He probably just thinks I'm some kind-hearted fox beastial that protected Vasilisa." Lornes ears perked up, "Wait, as I was leaving the Prince did say he hoped to see me again. Does that help?"
Kailey sighed, "Okay......that doesn't help, Loa." She then snickered, "Ricardo? Robert? Richard? No....not Richard. The prince doesn't sound like a d**k." She smirked, "You could spell the name. Thats not saying it. I'm bad at guessing games Loa. Besides, you really want me to say, 'Hey Prince. I'd call you by your name, but Loa is too scared to say it.' ? I mean, thats a bad first impression of me."

Vasilisa nodded. "Maybe that's why I got along so well with him. I'll be okay, I'll ask someone where my room here is for the time being." She smiled, the swelling in her cheek had gone down quite a bit, but the bruising was still there. She picked up her skirts a bit and walked off to ask a guard or servant where she would be sleeping for the night.

Oralee gave a slight nod. "That's good, it doesn't appear that you've blown our cover." She glanced over at Alexandre, and the two kids. "Seems like we just have to wait on the others with supplies." Oralee walked over to her horse, soothing it to pass the time.
Loa rolled her eyes a bit. "No, you can merely call him 'your highness' until you hear his name. He often introduces himself quite quickly." Loa felt a strain in her wing, and began lowering towards the ground. "I need to rest my wings."

Loreau woke lazily to the sound of bustling in the marketplace and chickens clucking as they pecked about the street. He leaned up in a sitting position on the his straw cot in the back of Quince's shop, watching the orange highlights of the sun poking in through the window and little cracks between the wooden frame of the shop. Quince was a half-Human, half-Elf with crazy white hair, like he had been electrocuted once or twice. He wasn't old, it was just the genetics that his family passed on to him. Loreau opened his mouth, letting out a deep, stretched yawn, scratching the light brown hair that sat atop his head, simultaneously stretching and popping his joints. "Loreau, time to get a move on! The land of Exortensis waits for no one when it comes to big business!" The shop owner let out a hearty laugh, causing Loreau to respond "You know, Quince, a wife wouldn't hurt to have around. She'd be able to cook for you, you know. It'd probably taste better than what we've been subjected to." This only made Quince's laughter turn uproarious, his face turning red with comedic flood. That's how it was with Loreau, he noticed things and offered help even if it was subtle. The jovial laughter subsided from Quince long enough for him to make his companion of one month a deal. "Alright, Loreau. I'm gonna flip this coin and if you call it, and if Sarenna stops by, I'll ask her if I can keep her company sometime during dinner. We have a deal?" Loreau nodded, keeping his light, coffee-bean hued optics on the coin. "Alright....now!" Quince flung the coin in the air, causing it to spin rapidly upwards before quickly descending towards the floor. Loreau watched the coin steadily, attempting to slow down the picture of it in his mind so that he could give it his best estimate. "Heads! I call heads!" Sure enough, as the coin bounced on the ground, the head side of it faced both males. The gold color gleamed up at them, seemingly triumphant at Loreau's victorious guess. Quince merely smiled and left the room, fully aware that if Sarenna, a beautiful Bestial and Elf hybrid with near flawless skin and beautiful locks of dark brown hair that reflected a honey-gold in the sunlight showed up, he'd have to ask her to dinner. She and Quince stole glances at each other, though it was never at a time where their eyes would meet. He'd blush and she'd giggle after their business was done, that being the end of their daily conversation. Loreau quickly dressed, adorned in his usual outfit which consisted of his brown shoes, black pants, and a white short-sleeved cotton shirt covered by a black, long-sleeved tunic that hung all the way down to his ankles. It was a gift from Teester which Loreau kept in excellent condition. Loreau rolled the cuffs back, revealing the white fabric underneath the tunic. He put his sleepwear in his pack and left the back of the shop to go help Quince.
Quince had a wide variety of things that he made, all handcrafted. Everything from rugs, vases, bottles, jugs, and dishes to various medicines and potions ranged all across his selling area which was covered by a large palm and straw shade making it an ideal place to shop especially in the heat. "Alrighty there Loreau! Time to get to work! Do what you do best and attract us some lovely customers! Don't forget the free samples, lad!" Even though there were already people headed over to Quince's shop, he always hungered for more. He enjoyed the public and talking to people, much like Loreau. He made the most exquisite of items, his artwork being praised by even several royal families. Certain people had even asked for special orders from him which Quince made with flawless execution, having it delivered in as little as 3 days. Loreau did just what was asked of him, drawing in more and more customers until Quince's area was nearly bursting at the seams with all different kinds of people. And, just as fast as everyone filed in, they were led out and were left satisfied with what they had purchased and how nice Quince and Loreau were. A strong wind swiftly picked up, causing some parts of the shade to start flying off. Quince didn't even have to ask Loreau; they both had gotten used to it and it only took a few minutes to fix. So, Loreau lifted a wooden ladder up to the damaged side, carrying supplies in tow. It was a fast fix, taking very little time at all. Just as Loreau wiped a bit of sweat off of his brow and started to descend the ladder, he saw something that both shocked and angered him with rapid succession. A Nobleman had struck a young woman who was apparently his child for being....out? She was with what appeared to be a group of friends and as she tried to explain herself, she got hit for it? Loreau stood atop the ladder, a mixed look of confusion and rage beset upon his visage. "....on fire!" Loreau heard Quince but it seemed far away as he was lost in the thought of what had just happened. He shook his head, turning his attention to what Quince was saying. "Wait, do what now?" Quince had a look of serious concern on his face as he answered. "Loreau, your hand is on fire!!" Loreau looked at his left hand, his free one, which, sure enough, had fire swirling all around his palm, racing across his pad. He paused for a moment, knowing this was no big deal. After all, he was in full control of it. It was his fire. He had just Summoned it subconsciously, is all. Then, it dawned on him. Where he was, what had happened in his past, and what people knew and didn't know about him. Immediately, Loreau leaped off the ladder, comically shrieking and running around for a moment, flailing his arms all about before sticking his hand in a bucket of water. Quince looked at him quizzically, an eyebrow raised in concern. "You alright there, Loreau? I've never seen you move like that. C'mere, let me check that hand of yours. I've got some ointment and a potion that'll fix you up good as new." Loreau took a cloth made of orange silk and swiftly wrapped his palm in it, claiming he was fine. "No, no Quince. I'm all good. It's fine, see? I can even get back to work." Loreau held his hand up to show the shop owner, a rather goofy and dimwitted but kind look on his face. Quince merely shook his head, allowing Loreau to get back to the tasks at hand. Business carried on as usual, Loreau took his break, played with the local children, got into a couple of 'hapless' accidents where miraculously, nothing got broken, and enjoyed the rest of his day. Quite a few of the women in town saw his wrapped hand, stating he was very brave for working after such a traumatizing incident. This caused him to blush and suavely brush it off as nothing, thanking them for their concern about his well being. It got closer and closer to closing time when Sarenna finally appeared, her beauty as stunning as ever and her kindness up-front and well apparent. She went to talk to Quince after greeting Loreau, commenting on his wound and winking at him in a joking manner. This caused Loreau to blush but this time, not say anything. Instead he chuckled and continued finishing the closing duties, packing up the rest of the items. Just as their conversation was about to commence, however, Quince walked up to Loreau, an oblong package wrapped up rather securely with a note attached to it resting in his hands. "Got one more thing for you to do, Loreau. This is an extremely important task. It's asking a bit much, but the pay is worth it. What's underneath this wrapping is my latest masterpiece, a shield made for our King. It has his family's signature sky-blue jewels encrusted on it. And, Loreau, I've been asked to have this delivered to His Majesty as soon as I can. Whaddaya say, think you're up for the task?" Loreau blinked for a couple of seconds, absorbing what was asked of him. It truly was an honor to do this and, he didn't want to screw anything up. He found his resolve, strongly nodding once before affirming that he would in fact do it. "You got it, Quince. I can definitely do it. What's it for, anyway? Is it a special symbol that they're gonna use for a war or something?" Quince shook his head 'no'. "Actually, it's a family heirloom that the King has wished to be made in his and his son's honor. It's to be passed on to his son, Prince Riordan, along with the other heirlooms, when he's crowned King. It's a symbol that he'll always be there to watch over his family and protect them. Now, get some supplies for the journey, for it will be late soon and you're not going to want to travel back late at night. It's better to find a spot to stay the night and stay safe. Come on lad, it's best you get going." Quince beamed at him, proud to have Loreau helping him out. Loreau nodded, motioning with his head towards Sarenna, who was still waiting for Quince. The half-Elf quickly headed over to her, talking with her and laughing. Loreau entered the area where he had stayed for the last month, still thinking about that young Noblewoman while he packed. He could hear Quince and Sarenna talking about their date, making Loreau grin. It was simply a matter of time before those 2 got together. After he finished packing, Loreau started to head out of the room, before taking notice of the coin that was still on the floor. The orange and pink hues of dusk danced fluidly across its face, giving it an even nicer gleam. Loreau looked at it for a moment before picking it up. This coin, this small piece of currency had opened the door to Quince and Sarenna finding happiness within each other. Loreau smiled even wider before placing it in his pocket, and headed out the door.
Loreau was on his way out before Quince stopped him, an excited and jovial look dancing all across his face. "Loreau, you were right all along, pal. Lad....you've been the greatest assistant I've had in a long, long time. It's thanks to you that I finally asked the woman I've been pining over and loved for the longest time to go out on the town with me. So, thank you Loreau. You're the greatest!" Loreau smiled wide, laughing heartily with Quince in this joyous moment. The 2 shook hands, knuckle-bumping afterwards. "Congratulations Quince! Good job buddy! But you know something, boss, it wasn't because of me that Sarenna and you are a couple. It was because of your courage. And don't you forget that, got it?" Quince looked a bit taken aback for a moment, grinning widely accepting Loreau's compliment. With that, Loreau turned to leave before Quince stopped him. "Loreau, 1 more thing lad!" Loreau stopped, turning to face him. "Yeah boss? What's up Quince?" "Here. And you best take it or I'll never forgive ya lad." It was a huge bag of money, strung up in a sack, weighing rather heavily. "It's half of today's profits, plus a quarter of the profits for each week that you've worked for me. Ya've earned it, lad. Take it." Loreau was shocked; he had never gotten this much money all at once. "Quince, I....I can't take this. It's way too much money. I mean, what about you?" Quince just shook his head, shoving the bag of money into Loreau's arms and pushed Loreau towards the direction of the castle. "Ya can and ya will take it, lad. I've got plenty of money. You know this. Customers every day, all day. Now go. It gets rather expensive to stay at an inn the closer ya get to the castle lad. Not another word Loreau. And, thank ya, lad." Loreau turned and began walking, taking the large sack of currency and slinging over his left shoulder. His bow staff was strung along his back, along with the shield and his pack of belongings, including a few things from Quince. His jug of alcohol bounced lightly along his right leg with each step as he ate a nice sized piece of bread. Thank you, Quince. I hope you and Sarenna find happiness and everything you 2 want together. It didn't take too long for Loreau to reach the castle, though the stars were out when he approached it. There were several guards about the area, some of them taking notice of Loreau. There was also a small group outside the castle. 3 people, a musician, the bestial friend of the Noblewoman who had gotten slapped, and another human, it seemed. They didn't seem to notice Loreau, however, so he simply waited for a few of the guards to approach him. They asked him to state his business, their tones slightly off-putting and blunt. Their faces were hardened; it seemed as though something had occurred here that wasn't all too pleasant. "I'm sorry guys. I should've had this out earlier." Loreau handed one of the guards the paper he had with him. After a moment of conferring with the others, they granted Loreau passage. "Alright. As Quince's stead, you may pass to bring what His Majesty Kennard has requested. Lead him to the entrance-way and ask Lady Vasilisa if she'd be kind enough to lead mister...." 'Oh, it's Loreau, sir.' ....right, right. Mister Loreau to the King's quarters." The other guards nodded, their faces softening, but only a little. They headed towards the entrance-way, Loreau following in suit. Once they reached the entrance-way, one of the guards went to get Vasilisa, while Loreau calmly waited for his escort to arrive.
