Saylis sighed, "I don't care," she smelled the air, "Do you think anyone noticed that?" She looked up at Zekk, he shook his head, "Little b***h, she thinks she can come and make things work all the better who said that she needed to join us?" They walked past a flower cart, Zekk took a single long stem white rose from one of the containers, he paused long enough to pay for it. Saylis raised an eyebrow at him as he handed it to her.
She took it, the moment it left Zekk's hand it began to bloom. She watched for a moment, "You always knew what to do to make me feel better Zekk." she ran a finger over the soft white petals, then inhaled its wonderful scent.

Zekk ran a hand over her head and kissed the top of her hair, he felt slightly guilty about giving her the flower and playing with her emmotions. He would have to remember to apologise to Moger later for hitting on his wife-to-be. "Orial's gone up several more stories. Looks like this Lydia is in one of the taller buildings."

Saylis paused and looked passed several buildings. "Or," she paused, sniffed the air, "Saria said again, so if this happened once before, I remember there was a building collapse a while ago, this person who captured Lydia would have to either have a temporary place of operation, or a newly built, or being built building." she looked around slowly, then up at Orial, "We'll just have to keep following him for a while longer, then we'll see."

Zekk turned to look at the pup that was following him silently, he was glad he had illusioned him, it didn't appear as if anything was following them. He was however greatful that the little thing was still there.
"Saylis, don't over think it." he kept her hand on his arm, "Your not going to try anything foolish if Saria tries to follow are you?" Saylis wasn't looking at him she had looked down the side of the road, toward a rather incomplete building, the top few floors looked to be done, maybe the pent house, and several floors lower, "You think she's there?" He looked at Orial, he was floating several floors below where the begining of the completed floors were. "Maybe not," he tugged her in the direction that Orial was floating. "Come on, we'll tell Neko about that one. She'll probally be able to get a look at it."
Saylis slowly began to follow, after him, her eyes still on the building. "I promise, we'll tell Neko about it." She turned away and toward Zekk and Orial.

Saylis bit her lip and looked up at sereal of the dark buildings, "Power outages..." she muttered, she had heard about them but didn't understand why, and clearly the mortals didn't either. She tightened her hold on Zekk's arm on it slightly. "Zekk, there's something wrong..." the air around them was almost tense.

Zekk growled quitely. "I suppose I was wrong to say that none noticed Saria's rather obvious entrance, and talking to us." He walked faster after Orial, he was going into a area where there were darkened buildings, and very few people, Orial didn't realise that Zekk and Saylis were being driven after him, they had no choice but to follow him.
Zekk took hold of her arm, "If there isn't a way out of this, run. I'll keep who ever it is busy and you get the hell out."

"Baka," she hissed, "I'm not leaving you for anything," she looked up at Orial, she tried to get him to turn, anything, to go away from his hunt.
Orial wasn't listening, he had found her himself, he could find the exact location of any soul, as long as he knew what his or her soul smelled like. Orial sniffed again, he dropped several floors, she was in trouble of some sort. She was in fear of not her own, but for her child. Orialis looked down briefly at the two, they were tense.

They entered into another part of the high district, this part slightly more populated then the area they had passed through, Zekk was shivvering involintarily. Saylis evedently noticed, she pulled him toward one of the empty fire barrals. She coaxed the embers that remained back into a blaze.
Saylis whisled to Orial to pause, he did for a moment then continued on, Saylis sighed and began after the small fox, "Don't go too far, he can't do anything if he does find her," Zekk stated staying near the fire. "He'd have to come back and get us." Saylis nodded and ran after her pet.

Saylis got sick of Orialis' game quickly, she forced him to come to her. She held him in her hands, "What is the matter with you love?" She stroked his head softly, "Why did this one become so important to find?"
Orial whined, it wasn't this Lydia that he was trying to protect, it was the baby. He didn't understand why himself, yet he had always hated taking the dead souls of children. He also had a feeling that this Mauser was more after the child than Lydia. He chirred and rubbed against Saylis' cheek.
Saylis sighed, "Gods I wish you could still talk to me." She rubbed his head again, he stayed perched on her shoulder. She turned and found several persons walking in her direction, the smelled of death. "s**t." She tried to look innocent as she walked past them, she could feel the four pairs of eyes on her even as she went past them. She smiled plesantly, "Wonderful day isn't it?" she continued away. Their eyes remained on her.

Zekk watched as the guard type men walked down the street, the same one that Saylis had just gone down, he kept himself from growling, he cast an illusion over himself to look like any average hobo. He rubbed his hands together over the fire trying to warm them.
As Saylis came past them one of them took hold of her arm, she was ridged, they said something to her. She shook her head and tried to pull away, acting as if they were crazy. The fellow with her arm didn't release, another one took a needle out from under his coat. "Oh, Damnit." Zekk made his way toward them slowly. The needle went into Saylis' arm, almost instantly she went limp. Her eyes rolled back. Zekk dropped the illusion and ran at them.
They seemed to notice, a black car pulled up, they dropped Saylis and piled into the vehicle. Zekk didn't care about them, he instantly lifted Saylis from the ground, "Damn it, Damn it, Damn it..." Zekk continued to repeat, "Saylis, dove wake up," he looked up at Orial, he whined. "Damn it."
He lifted her up, he didn't care if they drew attention at this point, Saylis needed to get the hell out of there. "Looks like we were getting too close for this Mauser's comfort." He lifted Saylis onto his back, collected the pup and ran out of the district, back toward Demonic ties.
Orial vanished, hiding in this place, they needed to be able to come back to this point so as to know they were getting closer.

Saria was planning to leave Saylis alone for awhile until things started happening. By the time she caught up everything was over and they had all left. She grumbled to herself. "It wasn't my fault that no one ever tells me anything. I better go and see if she is alright and try to explain."

Orial was floating leasually over one of the vents from the sewers, making it appear as if heated air was rising from the waters below. He was ancious, he wanted to continue his hunt, however he was also concerned for Saylis. What ever they had put in her was something strong, and he had seen the look on the face of one of the men when they had taken the needle out of her skin, when the needle had melted.

Zekk jumped over a garbage can as it tipped over. He leasurally walked out of the alley that he had found to hide in when the black car drove past. He had yet to find where Orial had vanished to. He sniffed the air, he looked like any of the avrage strays wandering around the High Rise. He had infact run into one of the locals.
He glanced around, the pup wasn't anywhere around. He recalled leaving him at the bar, he sighed, he hoped the little cub didn't get into any kind of trouble. He sniffed the air again, his guide had vanished on him, again, the over active dog had darted off, making the garbage can fall.
Zekk walked out onto the sidewalk, he looked like a well-bred husky from any distance, so long as no one took the time to actually observe him. The small local dog came running at him. Zekk flattened his ears back and took the dog by the gruff of the neck, he growled and walked in the direction that the dog had come from.

Cyprus caught up to Zekk looking much like a husky as well. He walked partailly behind him but mostly next to him.
