A big difference. A sky ray is something like a whirlwind were you and marker light enemy units and it launches the seeker missiles. The devilfish is a troop transport.

Isn't the Skyray also anti-air? That is beyond me I don't play tau and I’ve never heard anything about it being anti air. This would probably be a good question for the tau thread.

yeah the scarabs are going to be waay overpowered. plus, in WA, the necrons were still a bit overpowered.... i mean, if it takes titan guns to waste one, thats going to suck a**....the guard is totally done for. so is the orks.

1. Nothing is final as of yet, anything can and/or might be added.
2. Skyray was originally an AA/anti-tank platform and the vehicle that started the whole "We have landing gear and those stupid Eldar don't" trend.
3. You cannot compare the Winter Assault Necrons with the Dark Crusade Necrons, as everything will be done from the ground up.
Only fools start talking about how overpowered things will be without having played it first.

It would take incredible balls to do that, and it would be a game killer... The point of introducing the necrons in WA was to make it all look big bad and mean

The point of introducing the necrons in WA was to make it all look big bad and mean And I never found them to be unbalanced... I was actually kinda ticked off with them. My Baneblade took out 3 of the Monoliths on it's own. As for the Scarabs they won't be too overpowered. Everything has a balance in this game. Scarabs, as in the tabletop game, are good at pestering basic infantry. Odds are if you throw enough infantry at them they'll go down, but it'll take a while to do so. Note that in the video there were HORDES of Scarabs. I wouldn't be too surprised if they were somewhat lacking in the attack power category. I also hope that they get the ability to upgrade with Disruption Fields. Of course, as previously mentioned, the Scarabs will be horribly weak to anything with splash damage. After all, 3 Whirlwind shots tore down an army of the things.

You lot know next to nothing about games design. Do you really think that Relic would throw it onto the market without extensive testing through external sources?
And quit shouting that it could be unbalanced or overpowered, you haven't even touched that s**t yet, so shut the feck up about it until you've played it.

I must have misunderstood what you said. I thought you were claiming that the Scarabs actually WOULD be overpowered.
