Jake woke up once again, and he found himself looking at Arc, who seemed to still be asleep. It seemed his condition had gotten better, which was a good sign. The angel breathed a sigh of relief and waited for Arc to wake up.

Arc slept straight for solid two days and the house staff brought food to Jake, along with bandages and anitseptic so he could change and dress the wounds. In that time, his hair had grown floor length from its usual mid-back. His muscels gained some tone and his abdomen ripped with a twelve pack. He opened his eyes, and looked about, a small bundle of warmth was curled up at his side. In shock, he rolled to the floor then got to his feet, finding his balance a little off, he sank to a knee.

Jake had taken care of Arc during the whole two days, and he had been half-asleep when he finally woke up. He had been jolted to awareness when Arc fell to the ground, and he immediately got up to assist him. Putting one of Arc's arms over his shoulders, Jake proceeded to try to help him stand.

Arc was ready to beat him but he shoved Jake against the bed cushions and kissed him forcefully but then back away, his eyes empty. He didn't know what he was doing. Mad with himself, stormed into the bathroom and slammed the door behind him.

Jake had initially struggled and became frightened, but then he remembered that Arc needed to come to terms with himself. Now the servant just sat on the bed and waited, partly wanting to leave yet mostly desiring to stay and be patient with his mate.

Arc paced the length of the bathroom, circuling around the tub in the center. Blowing off steam. When he could walk no more, went to open the door ajar, then sank into the tub after filling it with water. His dark navy hair cascading over the rim and to the floor. After a while, invited Jake to come in. Leaving an indication for him to join in on him in the tub. His wraps were soaking up the water yet he didn't bleed no more in movements.

Jake entered the bathroom almost immediately after Arc invited him in, though he was quite surprised. It had been the first time Arc had done such a thing, but this must have meant he is changing. Before entering, Jake brought fresh bandages for when his mate finished bathing.
After a small while of awkward silence, Jake figured he should probably bathe himself as well. He removed his clothes and got into the tub as well, keeping a slight distance just in case Arc needed some space.

He quietly ignored Jake, his own mind sorting through his past history. He dropped his head to the tub rim with a head ache forming. But there was one thing he knew, his wolf instincts about Jake being his Mate was urging him. Arc groaned slightly, his past will straighten itself out. He found himself still in denial about rewritting his memory but why did he save Jake? That was easy cause it nagged him, his Mate instincts told him to do it. The bridge had never completely fallen apart, there was just holes and chunks missing. Now healed. He noticed Jake keeping to himself, then with a small smile, splashed water at him.

Jake had been off in his own thoughts, wondering how long it would take for Arc to get used to everything. Even if it took a while, he looked forward to his mate's full recovery. What would life be like, then? Perhaps he would no longer think of running away or escaping.
He yelped when water was splashed onto him, forcing him out of his thoughts. Jake almost wanted to ask where it came from, but he remembered that Arc was the only other person in the tub. Judging by his smile, it was very likely that he caused the splash. A mischievous smile crossed Jake's own features as he splashed back. This was war.

Both of them continued to splash water at the other, the tub now half empty. Arc turned the spout back on to fill it. Bubbles. He took some scented milk bath bubbles and dropped them in. It was a green tea and lavender scent.

During the splash war, Jake realized he had actually gotten a little closer to Arc. Grinning widely, he closed the distance between them and snuggled up against him, forgetting for a moment that they were both naked.

Arc just rested his head on the tub rim. Coming to terms with himself was just a mood swing after mood swing. He was experiancing, anger, playfulness and maturity rolled into one. While some terms he can reach, some will take longer to get to. A hand stroaked Jake's hair.

Jake finally felt at peace, moaning a bit in satisfaction as Arc's hand ran through his hair. In a moment of boldness, he reached for his mate's hand and brought it down to his chest, holding it close to his heart. For once, he felt no danger.

Arc felt bare skin on his hand and a small beat. He let his hand rest there for a while before trailing it back up to his hair, caressing along the way.

Jake continued to relax with Arc until his skin started to get a little wrinkly. Taking that as the cue to get out, he exited the tub, getting a towel to dry himself off.
