Yet as quickly as the Deerling reacted, the Riolu was even swifter. The moment the Deerling blinked, her gaze off him for even an instant, the Riolu vanished from view. She'd only have enough time to register the breeze against her cheek before a studded blue paw swung forward at her head. It was a Quick-Attack, and one she'd have quite a bit of trouble dodging!

[ 17 - 8 ] + [ 8 - 6] = 11 damage
15 - 11 = 4 HP
The blow came within a blink of an eye, and as Ami staggered backwards in pain, she slowly regained her footing. While trying to shake off the pain that was still there, she charged forward, in an almost reckless manner, to hit the Riolu with another Tackle attack!

The Riolu's response was almost stupidly simple. Lifting one leg, he moved to side-step the charging Deerling; then held out the other leg intent on tripping her!

[ 16 - 3 ] + [ 8 - 7 ] = 14 damage
14 - 14 = 0 HP
Ami had instinctively jumped before landing on the Riolu with her tiny, but powerful head. It turns out... the damage that was inflicted upon the Riolu was effective enough to make him unable to battle. And with that, the Deerling bowed her head. ">It was a good fight. I hope you don't have to battle anymore after this. You deserve a break after all the fighting you've had to do.<"
"You did it Ami!" Mei exclaimed happily. She walked over to her Deerling and hugged her. All the anxiety and fear she had felt within her was now gone.
Now that the two of them were done here, the next thing they had to do was get some Pokelot Terrain!

If the fear had disappeared, it was liable to be a fleeting occurrence. The Riolu would sink back into the floor in the same fashion it had risen, and a familiar cackle would fill her ears "GWAHAHAHAHA!!! So you manage to come out alive did you!? Well!..." An icy chill would move up her spine as if two long clawed fingers were marking a trail up her back, the hand clasping her shoulder as the words, sinister and dark, were whispered into her ear "Welcome to the Academy"
The pressure...the feeling of the hands grasp would disappear, replaced only by the maniacal laughter of the voice. It would seem she had passed, now she need only register and proceed to the Poke-lot.

Tyson walk into the room and looked around and thought about all the history that has happened in this very room. Trainers after trainers succeeding and failing one after the other. No one ever knew if they would pass or not. "I know i can do this!" He said to himself. "Come on, im ready!!" He shouted as he waited for this test to begin.

"Welcome to the battle room."
A voice would declare, but this wasn't a voice that was attached to seemingly anything. It was a voice that echoed around him and had no solid connection anywhere ...as it waited a moment and continued onwards in that monotone voice.
"Here you shall take the battle to determine whether or not you are right for your Team. So, tell me how you choose to battle today ...do you choose to take the tutorial or simply charge straight into the real thing?"
The voice would asks as it waits for Tyson's answer.

Tyson looked around as he heard a voice. "O...k thebn" He said to himself as he got a kinda creeped out. He listened to the voice and then thought to himself that he didnt really know what to do or want to hurt his pokemon for not knowing what to do. "I shall take the tutorial!" He shouted back at the voice.

The voice would declares as a potion would shimmer into existences to his left. And to his right, a pokemon would shimmer into existences as it takes one look at him and throw up the okay symbol.
A Snivy.
It would be an interesting battle .....as the voice would chime in again.
"Have your pokemon drink it, and then we shall learn the different steps."
"Now, the first step in any battle is calling out your pokemon." "Summon your pokemon upon the field."
Two screens would drop from the air ...one that showed the stats of the Snivy and one that was blank. It was waiting for Tyson to call his pokemon out so that stats could appear there.
"The fastest pokemon strikes first, while the slower pokemon defends."
That seemed to be the last of the voice's advice as it waited for him to follow those simple instructions.
((Okay, every battle starts off with pokemon stats being posted up. Depending on the speed, you will roll a 1d20 to attack or to defend. An attack can only hit if it's higher than the defensive roll, and in the case where two pokemon have the same speed both pokemon attack.
Also, I want you to note that ....all moves are considered to be attacks.))

Tyson smirked and grabbed the potion. "Alright this seemed easy enough." He said as he then called out his Deino. "Come on man, you ready?" He said as he threw the potion to Deino. Deino nodded and grabbed the potion in the air and drank it. "Come on Deino, get ready for anything."

The pokemon's stats would show up on the screen ....his speed was slower than that of the Snivy. That meant that she struck first as it seemed that the pokemon was already on the defensive. Her tail was swishes from one side to another as she came at her opponent swiftly.
She was going to use tackle this turn ...her eyes locked on her target. She would aim her head towards his chest as she aimed to knock the breathe of him.
The voice would chime in again.
"After speed is decided and an attack is made, the pokemon that attacks will find itself defending. The one that was defending will now attack ...it's what we call turns of battle. And it continues until the battle is over, and one of the pokemon fall."
The voice tells him.
((Attack and defensive turns, each turn you switch from one to the other. From the attack turn to defensive, and then back again. It's pretty much the flow of battle here.
Figuring out damage.
If an attack roll is higher than a defensive roll, this is what happens...dmg calculation.
It's a really simple process...first check the information section and the move list to see what it says about the move.
After that follow the formula.
Though most of the time it follows these lines.
((18 - 15 - first you subtract the two dice rolls also called accuracy rolls - 3
Then since this is a physical attack you subtract the Snivy's attack in this case from your pokemon's defense.
7-7= 0
Add it together to get the overall damage. 3))

Deino got hit and moved back a little. Deino turned to Tyson and Tyson looked a bit worried, but knew that Deino could pull this out. "Come on boy, get him with Earth Power!" He shouted. Deino then got into a stance as the Earth Around Snivy started to shake.

The Snivy had gotten in the first hit ...as she tries to twists out of the way of the incoming attack. Her tail would wave in the air ...as the earth itself seem to be working against her, but she is a plant pokemon. The earth was her home, the ground her mother ...she had no fear of the move, because her kind normally knew how to flow with the earth.
She would strive to do that now.
