 ☀ Antonio Fernandez Carriedo ☀ The Laidback Senior When landon asked Antonio if he wanted to play, he simply shook his head "No gracias. I don't even know how to play your American game." He didn't really care much for violent sports, except bullfighting. Reino de España Kingdom of Spain Spanish >> English {Out Of Madrid:}

 Sr. Romero ValentínRepública Bolivariana de Venezuela ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Romero gazed oddly at Antonio. Was he so out of touch with the West that he did not even know how to play this simple game? “Qué dices, Antonio?” he asked. “Many of your people play quemado at home, verdad? It’s simple: Just dodge those rubber balls and throw them at the opposing team. They don’t hurt at all, trust me.” The Venezuelan really wanted to play, even if it would be with these sophomores. A real game would be much better than idle wandering, but he didn’t want to join if it would upset the player balance. "Please play," he added. "It's boring sitting on the sidelinesor playing by yourself, and I want to play too."
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Out of Caracas: Apparently it doesn't translate directly. Quemado literally means Burning?

 ☀ Antonio Fernandez Carriedo ☀ The Laidback Senior "Oh, that's what it is? Well, it would be nice to play. however, I think I just want to watch. After all, I don't want to play with Mexi. No offense. her throws are pretty strong, and I don't want to get hurt." he sat down on the bleachers "When she gets competitive, she gets a little too tough." Landon pouted. Although he would have no problem playing one-on-one, he wanted to see how these seniors played. At least, that was what he figured they were, judging by their height and obviously older looks. “It’s not a hard game at all!” he told them, spinning a ball idly on his finger again. “It’s like Curly said: Just dodge these and throw them at the opposing team!” ***Romero’s left eyelid twitched when the sophomore called him Curly. “For your information, tonto, my name’s Romero Valentín, and it's definitely not 'Curly'. Would you like me to kick your a**?”
He groaned when Antonio declined on the grounds that Maria threw too hard. “De veras? You’re scared of your own former colony?” Romero sighed. “Then just play on her team then, España. Come on, I’ll play against you. However I might regret it,” he added with a dark glare at the cocky state he had just aligned himself with. ***California grinned when Curly—Romero--decided to join him. Now the sitting one had no choice but to join in! “Come on, Spain!” he exclaimed, guessing from the way Romero had addressed him that that was who he was. “Come play with us! You wouldn’t want to leave your buddy alone, would you?” ***(Ugh, messy.)

Antonio Luz Maria "Que?" Luz Maria raised her eyebrow. Who was he talking about? She just dribbled the ball "Don't force Toni to do stuff he doesn't want to. Let's just play already. I need to let out my pent-up rage, ese." Antonio sighed "Please don't let me choose a side. if it were agaisnt someone who isn't Spanish, I'd play. I love all of you" Spain Mexico

 Landon had no idea what reason Spain would have to love them all, especially since he remembered just how many revolutions had occurred in that dysfunctional family. In fact, he, California, was the product of secession from Mexico, and she a product of secession from Spain. If anything, he should be angry at them all! Mexico certainly was angry at him!
He glanced up at the senior who had, however reluctantly, joined him, and he could see that Romero was thinking much the same thing. “Will this help you decide?” he asked playfully, hurling the ball at Antonio’s shoulders. At this point, Romero was more than a little fed up with Antonio’s vacillation. What had happened to the brave warrior he had rebelled from? This was no noble Spanish Empire; this was only a pitiful shadow of that man. Never before had the old requirement of the name madre applied more truly to Antonio.
Glancing at California, he could see that the little state was likewise confused about Spain’s reaction, although he must have only heard of the motherland by reputation. What a strange day this was, that he should find himself agreeing with an overconfident American.
“It’s just a game, madre; and how can you love someone you’ve ever met?” he asked, irritated that it should be so hard for the European to make up his mind. “And if you need help picking a side, then allow me to remind you of the anger you felt when Sudamerica seceded from you!” With that, he also hurled a ball at the Spaniard, aiming at the air beside him out of old respect and to avoid knocking out his ally’s ball.(Please play? It's only a small bit of tedium, considering how short your posts here generally are. Although Romero is a little irrationally mad now.)

Antonio Luz Maria Antonio wonced when the ball was thrown at his shoulder "Ay! That really hurt." he rubbed it. It was one of the reasons he didn't play this game anymore. The guy was big and was an easy target. He frowned. "Hey, Mexico and Central America did the same. This doesn't really help with my decision." he can never be mad at his relatives. He's not at war with them. it saddens him, but he had to accept the fact that they didn't really need him. "Oye! Stop throwing balls at me!" Luz Maria groaned as she paced around "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I'd rather be in class, reading 'The Red Badge of Courage' than be here. I'm bored." Spain Mexico ((I'm not that into playing with two of my characters in the same team. It's not all that fun to me. I like playing with other people, but I'll try.))

 Romero smiled grimly when California's ball made contact with Antonio's shoulder. At least that got him going. "I remember that, but we seceded when you needed our money to fund enough armies to drive out Napoleon," he reminded. As he no longer had anything to throw, the Venezuelan simply strafed as he waited for something to dodge.Landon had no idea how Maria could honestly prefer reading over dodgeball, and ge decided to remind her what she was doing here. "I thought you wanted to kick my a**?" he asked, lobbing a wandering ball at her pelvis.(phone. Me neither. We can always stall or drop the seniors if it doesn't work. At lest one round though!)

Antonio Luz Maria "I do, but I don't want to do it bored. I'm tired of waiting around." she quickly dodged the shot "I know I don't have junk in that area, but you don't aim there. because that's my technique, burro!" she shouted as she shook her fist. Antonio sighed. They weren't going to stop bothering him, were they? "Fine, but only because I have no one to play with. And I'm siding with Mexi, cuz at least she's nice to me and not throwing balls." he got up and went over to his sister's side. Now that she had someone on her side, Luz Maria made the first throw. Spain Mexico ((I suppose a round would work))

 Landon grinned as he ducked the ball, not caring that the move forced Romero to sidestep out of the way. “All’s fair in street ball!” he called back, bouncing about gleefully. “Or did you forget you said that?”“Bueno. That’s exactly what I expected of you!” Romero answered. Although he didn’t like the fact that his stateside ally had nearly allowed him to strike out, he was pleased that Antonio had joined in after all. Romero retrieved the ball that California had dodged and threw it back at Spain.(Woohoo!)

Antonio Luz Maria Luz Maria huffed "I never said that, and that's not how the expression goes!" Also, shouldn't there be more balls involved? At least, that's what she saw on the TV. Antonio managed to catch the ball. Last he checked, it's only if you get hit the other team gets a point. "Is that all you got?" he grinned. He threw the ball with full force to the opposing team. Landon ducked the ball, but just barely, and it breezed by him so closely that it lifted the golden hairs on the top of his head. That Spaniard threw hard! Maybe it was just something the Hispanic nations were good at, because he had seen the force from Romero's intercepted ball stagger Antonio slightly, and he also knew from painful experience that Maria hit hard too. Maybe such strength came with being a nation?
At Maria's denial of proclaiming street rules, Landon stuck out his tongue. "Then why do I remember you declaring street rules just minutes ago?" he asked teasingly.
The state did have the satisfaction of retrieving the dodged ball as it rolled right back to him like a dog returning with a ball. "Take this, Mexi!" he exclaimed, pelting it back at her.The Venezuelan wasn't happy to see his throw intercepted, but quickly shook it off when Spain hurled the ball back at him. "Sí, ya, España!" he retorted, smirking. "I'm just getting started!" But this game was a little boring with only one ball in play, so Romero bolted for the back of the room and retrieved three more balls, so that every player could have one, and hurled them one after the other at both Maria and Antonio, creating a sort of a rubber rain for the opposing team.(Is that how one would say "Yeah, right" sarcastically in Spanish? || Fourth last post.)

Antonio Luz Maria "Wah!" Luz Maria managed to avoid Landon's shot "Si, well, now that Spain's involved in this game, I got to play fair and junk." She saw the toerh bals Romero threw at them "Yay! Excitement!" she caught a ball and used it to bounce the ball away. "Don't forget, I live near America, so I know how to play this violent game." "Ay yi yi!" More balls were heading his way. Once he avoided the shots, he grabbed a couple of balls then threw them at the opposing team. Someone has to get a point. Spain Mexico ((we don't really have an expression for 'yea right' ^^; we'd just say, 'si, claro' and roll our eyes xD))

 Landon stretched his arms up high to catch one of Maria's higher-flying rebounds. "Aww, that's no fun!" he complained, hugging his catch to him while he decided who to aim for. "Playing fair is boring!" On the flipside, that meant no one would be allowed to give concussions, and that was probably the wiser way to play. "No one's accusing you of barbarity, so you can stop saying you know the rules!" he quipped, deciding to aim for Spain this time.Romero sidestepped Antonio's poorly aimed shots as if dancing and crouched to pick them up as they rolled forward again. "Qué pasa? Scared of a few ounces of rubber?" he teased, tossing one back at his former ruler.(Did I just make up a phrase then? XD || Now that they're actually playing, I'm reluctant to take them out early... What say we take the seniors out with their own balls tomorrow? Fifth period has only lasted for a half-day IRL, right?)

Antonio Luz Maria "Que? What's that supposed to mean?" Antonio laughed as he missed Romero's shot, but wasn't paying attention to Landon. He got a direct hit to his vital regions "Ay!" he fell to his knees in pain "My poor boys." Luz Maria gasped as she witnessed her brother getting hit "I may not have your male junk, but I'm pretty sure that must hurt like hell." That was dirty, also, that was what she was planning to do. No fair! Spain Mexico ((pretty much xD tomorrow? Well, it's still fifth period until Monday. that's the pattern))
