Riley disregarded everything else. To her, the world was her and Kallos for this one moment. And the information he provided, both audibly and accidentally, relieved and intrigued her equally.
Ah. I know of the book. You shouldn't believe everything you read, Kallos. We made sure that most of our civilization is kept under wraps - quite a bit of the public information on the Illithid is home-made deceit. She chuckled gently, and eased back on her haunches.
Speaking of reading, from what I can see you have quite an interesting ability. If you're eating the information you have received, just how much of it is in there? She itched to probe, but knew it was invasive. Still, her tentacles twitched instinctively - not that she used them to probe, but it was an unconscious twitch. Are you a wealth of information, dear Kallos? And if so, of what value wealth shall I place you?

The hunchback jumped, turning sharply at the sudden sound of the shadow he hadn't seen a moment ago... where had he come from?? Whoever this visitor was, they had been staring at him at that horrible rainbow booth as well... he swallowed thickly, timidly reaching for his slate from inside his vest, squeaking out a quick polite response and holding it up for the cat-like boil to read:
Checking on Mistress. Can be testy when eating too much sugar. Enjoying game?

Kreszentia stared down at the sword as it eyed back up at her. The undead ghoul tilted her head as she moved to rub her hand against the fabric of her clothing she wore as if to dust them off before she reached out to grasp the hilt and try again. She was nothing if not determined -- at least sometimes. She felt as if the damn thing was somehow mocking her with the way it looked at her but she vowed to not lose her temper like she had over at the other booth with the fish.
Hands on hit she moved to give it yet another pull.

Cat grinned harder. Impossibly hard.
Three whole slices of delicious information. Something out of sight grinned and drooled happily.
"Oh, I haven't played the new game," He said smoothly, his tone like silk. This boil was obviously jumpy, but the fright in his mismatched eyes only excited Cat further. "It was you who set up the previous game, correct?"
On cue, Cat produced the item Chris had given him from the hunt, seemingly from nowhere.

Ah, that's right. He had won one of the Lepus hunt rounds! The Igor wished he would just stop... grinning like that. Swallowing again, mismatched brows furrowing, he nodded slowly and wondered what the creature wanted from him. Jericho or anyone else would have been better equipped at answering questions. Why target the dumb, bothersome Igor?

That was unexpected, especially considering the baku's stature and limited strength. Still, she somehow managed to draw the sword from the stone.
Stepping backwards, Xiu hopped awkwardly from foot to foot as she attempted to stay upright while balancing the weapon. She couldn't help but cringe at the fact that the sword was much, much heavier than she had initially anticipated and, while she was kind of proud that she had managed to pull the sword out, she was also at a loss as to what to do next.
"W-what do I do with this?" She asked aloud, her voice filling with panic as she looked to Lizzy and Jericho from the corner of her eye. She swayed as she tried to steady herself, the sword mimicking her movements and swaying precariously over her head.
Well, um. This was safe.

Kres - The sword remain pretty firm within the stone.
---
It was kind of amusing to see the Baku handle the sword like that, and he had to wonder slightly how she had managed to pull the blade in the first place. Christof earlier had shown that Riley hadn't loosened it at all. Perhaps there was more to the girl than she appeared.
"Keep it. And uh.. be careful," advised Jericho, "The swords are actually minipets.. if you hadn't guessed from the way they kinda have a life of their own. "

As quickly as he had produced it, Cat whipped the object away, back into the depths of his middle.
Resisting a terribly crude pun, Cat edged closer to Chris. "You can't talk...can you?" He was still smiling. He could see it was unnerving the igor, and doubled his efforts gleefully.

"Z'tubborn things," She commented idly as she leaned for a moment on the hilt hoping that it wouldn't suddenly slide deeper into the stone. Kreszentia took a moment to rest before she leaned back and tried to tug the sword out of the stone. To be honest she had more fun trying to get the sword out than she had at actually winning.
It was a mindless task and it loosened up some joints! Every now and again the undead ghoul's joints would pop and snap. Most invigorating.

"... Xiu!" It was hard to tell if she was surprised or proud. Probably a mix of both as she quickly rushed to the Baku's side, narrowly being cut by the blade as she neared her, "Don't. Move." She stopped a short distance away, hands raised, palms outward to face the ghoul, "Lower the sword."
She looked at Kres, who... Didn't seem to have as much luck.

Kres - Despite her efforts, the blade didn't budge a bit. But hey! At least it didn't end up sinking further into the rock.

The Mindflayer's comments didn't really calm Kallos much, especially once he realized just how much his panicking brain had told her already. When she thought to him the statement that he should believe everything he reads, somewhere in the back of his mind, Kallos was mentally banging his head against a wall, thinking, 'More information to recatalog? NLASDBLDBDASNLDSAnDKL HOW WILL I EVER FINISH THISSSSS" As such, most of this thought was still covered up by "DANKLDNALDAD MINDFLAYERRRRRRR" fear. Still in a whisper, he responded, "I-I see...T-That's actually quite c-clever..."
And then, he knew she'd figured it out. Kallos eyes widened a bit more, as if that was even possible, and he was pressed back in the chair about as far as he could go without falling off or knocking the chair backward. The twitching in her tentacles just made his mind "DNJSALSDNHLADSN Q A Q" even more. (It was quite surprising that Kallos hadn't started tearing up out of fear, in all actuality. Or passed out or something. He was doing well considering...that, you know, he's Kallos.) "H-how m-much...?" He squeaked as she asked about his amazing memory capacity. With a whimper, the rest of the answer came out. "A-a-all of it..." Which was true. Due to the curse on his Calligraphy Pen, anything he ate he had inscribed in his memory... W-wait, what did she mean, about him and a wealth value? If he was worth anything, it was that he was like a walking filing cabnet of information. Driven to say something by that piercing stare of hers, he quietly said, "I-I just...n-never forget what I've e-eaten..."

Christof shook his head, stepping back a step away from the boil getting far too close for comfort, stiffly raising a clawed hand to point to the stitches brows raised.

It didn't budge.
It. Didn't. Budge.
Most would have given up. Sure she liked the act of mindlessly pulling and tugging and she was getting loosened up by the effort she was putting in but...Seriously. She would have expected a bit of a wiggle. She put her foot down against the surface it was embedded and then gave another tug.

Kres - The sword wiggled this time! Though.. unfortunately, it wiggled deeper into the stone.
