Oh right. Jericho kept forgetting about how antsy undead get with the mention of fire, and he knew Amrita was no different in that regard.
"Go ahead you two," he said with a grin. If they were comfortable enough to hit the stage, he wasn't about to stop them. Speaking of this, it looked like someone was headed there already. Turning to see who it was, his eyes widened as he saw the Siren be the one with the mic.
Cringing at the song, Jericho was rather relieved when it was done, but he looked a little shaken. Slowly, he brought his hands up to his ears to check if they were bleeding. Thankfully, they weren't.
"...That... hurt..."

"I dunno," West admitted. He surprisingly failed to jump at Holly's snarkbait, honestly wondering where Tset had gotten to. She had been here a moment ago. Then again, he hadn't been a very good date, to be completely honest. He looked up at Alwine as she approached and smirked slightly at her applause. "No, it wasn't. Wasprety stupid. But'm never doin'it again, so t's'fine f'once, I guess." Plus if anyone ever brought up this night in the future, he planned on making them forget it. West glanced around, looking for the boil who'd won the headless ghoul. "Where's th'kid from the auction?"

His ear flickered at the noise. Thankfully Israfel's performance hadn't left him deaf and in the silence of the chairs, or as much silence as there could be had in the dance hall, he noticed. It wasn't what he considered embarrassing at all, and honestly, if she was hungry, he wouldn't have minded. Colette could have stuffed her face and he wouldn't have batted an eye. Then again, he didn't have the best table manners either.
Looking down and looking back up, he smiled. "Are you hungry?" Clearly that didn't need to be asked if he heard a tummy rumble. "I'll go get you something to eat then!" Yes! He could do that, and he'd be the perfect date. Honestly, he felt he should try his best to make up for the fact the poor girl had been manipulated into a plan and if she so much as noticed, could wind up crushed and hating the holiday. All shouting and yelling Calder would have to dish out would come later. For now, he would dance if it hurt and do whatever Colette wanted to make her happy. Poor girl didn't even know what was really going on, and he wasn't about to burst her romantic bubble.
Seeing as he had no idea what she liked, he took her hand. "Let's get something to eat." And he lead her over to the table to check out what was still left. He could go for something to eat too. Dinner had been skipped due to being kidnapped and going to the dance. A nice sugar boost would improve his spirits.

Finally. ******** he'd finished moving into his new dorm. That had been an absolute chore and a half, and after nearly a week solid of unpacking and setting up the Jikininki was itching to get away from his room and out on the campus. The cafeteria specifically, considering there was a Scarentine party going on there. His decision quite possibly colored by the hopes of running into a certain futakuchi-onna. There'd been not so subtle hinting going between them on groanspring about him taking her, but circumstances had not been in his favor, until now.
So Seiji would be late, and hopefully Junko wouldn't be upset with him. Hopefully. Vaguely he had to wonder why he cared so very much if a person he hadn't even met yet was mad at him, but for some reason he did. It was a slightly bothersome thought, but he tried very hard not to dwell on it.
Before leaving his dorm he'd changed from his usual punkish attire into something considerably more formal. A nice pair of black slacks layered over with a long, button down red dress shirt. The sleeve of his left arm rolled up above the elbow leaving the gangrenous black of his forearm and clawed hand bare, save for the bandages. A pair of only slightly scuffed black shoes and his usual belted choker finished off the look, along with the glitter of silver at his ears. He didn't touch his hair, so it was his usual tousled, bed-head look.
Pushing open the doors to the cafeteria the ghost paused just beyond them, red on black eyes taken in the crowd and picking up.. very little familiar faces. True, he'd seen most of their pictures on groanspring, but he hadn't really talked to more then a tiny handful. There was Junko of course, and Bul..
"Hey Bul!" The monster boil was with a pretty ghoul with long red hair that sort of recalled, but wasn't exactly sure why.
The futakuchi-onna was yet to be spotted, but he was positive she was there, somewhere.. probably. Oh jack, she had better be, or he'd gotten dressed up for nothing.

Junko didn't feel like dancing by herself, and she couldn't cling to Yaya or Riley or Kasumi all night...and the hole in her sleeve was driving her crazy. She couldn't see it unless she really looked for it, but she knew it was there. She knew it was there and it bothered the hell out of her. So for now she was sitting with a needle and thread and mending the small hole. It wouldn't take long, which was why she figured she might as well just get it over with. Hmm..she had nothing to really cut it with. For now she just freed it from the needle and put the needle away, looping the ends around her fingers and tugging until they ripped. There, she could trim it to look pretty later.
She winced as she heard Israfel...singing...and looked up, standing and straightening out her clothes. Hm? Someone new was here! Junko blinked and looked toward the newcomer calling out to someone, tilting her head a bit. Hey...wait a second...was that who she thought it was? No way! She thought he wouldn't make it! Junko blushed and looked around frantically to make sure no one was going to him, fidgeting with the ends of her sleeves. He was here! He wasn't too busy after all!
"Go over there you twit." She groaned, pinching one of Junko's cheeks. "Stop staring like a creeper and go." Junko squeaked and whined and swat the hair away, rubbing at her cheek.
"Stop that. I-I am!" The ghoul whispered at Her, fussing with her clothes again to make sure everything was in order before she made her way over to the boil she hoped was Seiji. She'd only seen a picture of his face over groanspring, so she hoped this was him! She clasped her hands behind her back to keep herself from fidgeting with them too much, smiling softly and trying very hard to hide her excitement.
"Ah...Seiji?" She asked meekly, desperately hoping she was right and she wasn't just mistaking some other new student to be him. That would be so embarrassing.

In his bid to catch Unstabul's attention the boil didn't immediately notice the ghoul walking up to him, though once he did he certainly wished he'd been paying a lot better attention. Smile slipping, he blinked down at the dark haired girl as she spoke his name, mildly startled and perhaps feeling a touch sheepish due to that fact. "Yes." He answered bluntly, at first, before recognition forced it's way through his brain and kicked him in a**. The almost frown warmed at once as an easy grin slide to replace it, showing of pointed teeth. "Junko."
Hooking his thumbs within his pockets, he took on as casual stance as he could manage in such dressy clothing and took a moment to admire her dress, her hair, her legs. Oh jack was he happy she had nice legs. He'd thought she was pretty before, but with the legs.. His grin turned up a notch, brows twitching upward as lids fell lazily, making him look either incredibly silly, or terribly smug.
From her groanspring he knew she liked sewing, and routinely sewed her own clothing. He had to assume this one was no different. "I like the dress." He gave it another appreciative once over that may have been a cover for sneaking a second peek at her legs, then settled his gaze on her face. She was even prettier in person. "You look beautiful."

"I can do that..." Sharra replied, seeming almost reluctant to be disengaged from Yaya, but then again, he had been looking forward to snagging a dance from their mutual date. "Do all the pestering you so desire, love, and we can meet again when you're ready to go?" It looked as though the party was indeed winding down just a touch, and there were things that the nergal still had on his to-do list, after all. At least there seemed to be a few of his fellow classmates who were interested in prolonging the get-together further.
With another brief kiss with Yaya, the nergal boil almost glowing in his own right...utterly elated by the conversation that had just transpired betwixt them, he stuck his human hand in his pocked, and scanning the crowd for a moment, moved to saunter over to Aksaja. "Hey..." They hadn't really talked much, but Sharra was aware that they had, at least, some decent knowledge of one another, that and now that Aksaja was the twosome's 'date' for the evening, well, might as well milk it for all it was worth. "Enjoying yourself?" All right, now he was allowed to gawk, acidic green eyes scanning the dragon's frame. Damn. That boil cleaned up in a supremely attractive fashion. Not that he wasn't pretty on the eyes to begin with, but Sharra had a distinct inclination towards the well-kept. Well...MOST of the time...there were very notable exceptions.

Luckily for Jericho, Amrita wasn't paying attention when he said that sometimes fire couldn't be controlled. That was the perfect thing to say to make her start to panic....but as it were, nothing happened. Her attention was on the stage as Israfel made his way back up there, wincing when he started to sing, but still keeping her smile; either her ears were worse than anyone thought, or she had mostly gotten used to his special brand of singing over time. It was hard to tell, really. When the siren finished, she clapped for him.
She did hear Lizzy suggest getting on stage because most of her friends already had, and the suggestion was met with a terrified wide stare.
"N-no! I'm...I'm not a singer! No singing, please." The little Vetala was whimpering, staring over at Lizzy's puppydog face. Soon, poor Jericho was met with a similar, pleading stare.
"D-don't make me go!" Why she was asking this of Jericho was beyond anyone.

"You can play the guitar and I'll sing? Uh, while playing the guitar since I'm not that great a singer myself... I'll see if a gnome can fetch it for us!" She smiled, still maintaining her puppy dog look to try to sway Amrita - of course, she meant that she'll demand a gnome to go get two guitars or risk certain death, but she was not about to say that out loud.
"If you're uncomfortable with it though..." She frowned slightly, tilting her head; the Vetala was asking Jericho for help? She must be pretty desperate!

Another lip tingling kiss was shared with her nergal before she gave him another fond pat on the chest, smoothing his vest again before turning to scan the room for her friends. She had intended to go over to Junko for a bit, feeling a smidgen guilty for having not properly greeted her best friend yet, but noticed with some surprise that she was currently talking with a boil. Was he the one from graonspring the futakuchi-onna had mentioned? She'd only glanced at the boils picture a time or two, but it did look like him. Well good, Yaya was glad he'd made it after all.
That did leave djinn with a bit of free time though, and she wasn't about to spend that time on her own. Sparing a glance back to her dates, she smiled, grinning a little foolishly, and made her way over to the table that West had so recently taken a seat at.
"Well you clean up nice." She smiled at the avarice demon as she neared, resting a hand lightly on one tanned hip as it jutted to the side. She had to give the boil credit, he'd taken a rather odd turn of events and handled them exceptionally well. Tset seemed to be having fun, and the two looked quite handsome in their formal wear. "Come dance with me West, please?" Stepping forward, she bent and took his uninjured hand, tugging on him gently.

Aksaja had been more or less drifting about the fringes of the dance floor, watching everyone - but most especially Yaya and Sharra. He was really rather glad, in a way, that he'd ended up coming to this little party with the two of them. Once or twice, he'd ventured out onto the dance floor himself after being tapped out of the contest, but that was about all. Now, he'd found himself a nice spot leaning against a wall - head slightly tilted as he watched the twosome yet more. Ah, seemed like the Nergal was coming this way...
Aksaja noticed Sharra looking quite easily and smirked faintly, straightening a bit. "Mm... thus far, yes. This is certainly an entertaining sort of party. I've been taking some," he paused and tapped his temple with a finger, "mental notes for the Host Club to use later." He rather hoped that Yaya and Sharra would visit once or twice.... or more. Mm, yes.

"Seems like you're doing quite a bit of research for a party." He bantered back, teasing the other a bit. With a toss of blond hair, the nergal then held out his human hand to the other. "It seems that my ghoul has abandoned me in order to antagonize our dear Westus...so...care to dance? That is what half this gala is about, after all." And Sharra had, if naught else, proven that he could indeed dance the night away during the competition...he'd certainly shown up a few of the other contenders, if naught else, though the effect it had had on Yaya had been utterly wondrous. Mmm. He'd have to remember that for future situations, as he was sure there would be a plethora of those...'situations'.

"Well, you probably scared her off with the dancing. You were so great at it too." Seriously it was like dancing with a plank of wood since he just stood there. Holly sighed and smiled at Alwine. She looked from West to the new ghoul that was talking to him. The ghost leaned over the empty chair and elbowed him in the side. "Look, what is that your third dance? Popular aren't you?" She looked up at Yaya. "Good luck trying to get him to dance, he isn't very good at it."

Oh good! It was him! Junko's smile grew and her hands moved to clap together under her chin, the excitement clear on her face. He made it! He really made it! Ohhhh this just totally made her night! And he remembered her! That made up for Sammy forgetting how they met, oh yes it did. O-oh wow, he had a nice grin. But she'd been grinned at before! Why was this one making her blush and giggle? Hmm...maybe it was because Seiji was supposed to be her date! Junko nearly gasped when she remembered that, completely distracted from him checking her out. He was her date! Oh! And she had a present for him! She'd kept it on her because she'd intended on visiting him after the party if he didn't make it, and it'd be silly to pass the ghost dorms when she wanted to be at the dorms!
Junko was brought back to reality by the compliment on her outfit, giggling and giving him a tiny little curtsy. "Thank you! This is the first time I've ever wo--I-I what?" She blushed and nearly stumbled in her sandal. H-he thought she was beautiful! Haha! Wow! Um...o-okay. Um...oh! She needed to give a compliment back! Junko looked him up and down for a moment, looking thoroughly impressed by what she saw. He looked really good! Even if that one sleeve was pushed up, she figured it might be hard to wear sleeves with a claw like that. How nice though! He looked...
He looked really good. Wow! Um. Wow. He looked really good. Junko blushed a bit more and smiled. "Thank you, Seiji. You look...ah..really nice." D'oh! That was lame! He said she was beautiful and all she could get out was 'oh you look really nice'?! Junko blinked. "Handsome! I mean, you look really handsome. Really handsome." Gah! Now she was rambling. If The Mistress hadn't been bribed She'd be cackling at Junko's expense, so for now She settled on chuckling quietly. "I'm really glad you were able to make it after all!" Junko spoke over Her, though she meant what she was saying.

"Jackdammit," West muttered. He felt a moment of resistance, a split second where he just knew he wasn't going to give in, but then he got to his feet again, shooting a look that screamed 'save me' at the other ghouls nearby. He had learned it was best to save time when dealing with Hadiyya and just do what she said.
As he accompanied the marid back to the dance floor for his third time that night, West's muttering rose to a whole new level of incoherency, his eyes narrowed to peevish slits. "Shouldn'tevvenuhc'mereattallwhyinth'hell d'y'wanna dance anywaydunyagotlikethree dates'an'I dunneven wanna kno'bout that..."
He took a deep breath once they were actually away from the tables again, letting it out in an exasperated sigh. "Y'heard Holly. I dunno how t'dance yanno," he finished. "Have ya even seen me t'night? Hope yer nottoo attached't that hair cuz when I stepponnit't's gonna rip right outta yer head. Scalp too." He was frowning fiercely, but it was clearly more out of frustration than malice.
