It was eight in the morning, and Tails and Knuckles were on the outskirts of Kendran, overlooking a huge portion of flat, white land.
Knuckles had his arms crossed. Of course, that might have just been from the cold. His red dreadlock spikes flew in the breeze. Okay, breeze was putting it lightly; they blew in the stinging blizzard-like air. "Are you absolutely sure this is where Doll said Metal's base was?" He asked over the roar of wind.
Tails was sitting on a rock, binoculars in hands, looking through them. "Positive!" He answered, just as loudly. "When did the other say they'd meet us here?"
Knuckles pulled back his sleve, checking his watch. "They should be here in a few minutes."

Justin walked over to meet Knuckles and Tails, in ice demon form. "Hey, guys. Is this really the place?" He asked.
Dante walked up to the three, a slice of pizza hanging from his mouth in a humorous manner.

"Brrrr! I'm freezing!" Rouge shivered, as she, Luna, and Sonic walked over.
"This is the place, then?" Luna asked.
Sonic's teeth were chattering too much for him to say anything.
"Tails claims it to be so." Knuckles replied. He looked at Tails. "See anything yet?"
"Nope. It's completely deser-Wait! I see someone. Let me zoom in.." He fiddled with something on the binoculuars. "..Hey, it's Shadow! What's he doing down there?"
"Let me see those!" Luna snatched them from the fox, gazing through the binoculars. "He's just crouched down, hand on the ice, like he's inspecting something...."

Justin looked at Luna. "Inspecting what? What's he doing?" He asked.
Dante shrugged, finishing off his pizza.

"He's standing....And looking straight at us." Luna blinked once, and Shadow had vanished. "What the-?! Where did he go?!"
"I'm right behind you." Shadow said, taking a few steps so he was next to her. "I was examining the area. Metal's base is definitely under the ice somewhere around here."
"Are you all here?" asked Doll, becoming solid infront of them. "Good. There's been a change of plans. Metal is sending off his fleet earlier then we expected."

Dante gave Tails Doll a looking over, not scared or creeped in the least. "Then, what are we waitin' for, Stitchy? Let's got moving!" He said.

Doll rolled his eyes at Dante's attitude. "Patience. We will need to jump onto one of the ships as it's taking off. We can make our way to the main one by leaping and finding ways to each."
"When do they take off?"
Shadow looke down at the ice. "Right about....now." As he said 'now' the ground began shaking. The large field down below them started to slowly slid open, like a large, white door.

Justin smirked, watching the field open up. "Alright! NOW, let's go!" He said, jumping into the air and making another ice slide. He slid across the ice, then jumped into the hole in the field. A thud cold be heard, meaning he landed on something: one of the ships.

Sonic, forgetting all about being cold, used Justin's ice slide to get down. He added a flip at the end, landing next to the ice demon.
Shadow's feet touched ground next, followed by Knuckles', Luna's, and Tails'. Meanwhile, the ship was rising. Others started coming from the darkness as well.
Tails Doll simply had to do his little teleportation trick in order to reach the others.

Dante used the ice slide to land on the ship with the others. He then pulled Rebellion off his back and held the large blade up, ready for a fight to break out.
Justin drew Cerberus, readying the nunchaku, just in case. "Now to wait till we get airborne." He said.

The air fleet quickly got airborne.
"Let's split up." Shadow suggested. "We'll get to the main flagship that way."
They nodded.
"Hedgehog, Knuckles, you come with me. The rest of you figure out for yourselves." Shadow ran towards the edge, making a leap and landing on the next ship.
Rouge gave Knuckles a kiss. "Look after yourselves, okay?"
"Will do." Knuckles and Sonic copied the black hedgehog.

Dante looked at Tails and Doll. "You two are with me. Let's go. He said, running and jumping to another ship.
Justin looked to Rouge and Luna. "I guess that just leaves us, huh?" He said, making his way to another ship.

Tails and Doll followed Dante.
Luna and Rouge nodded.
Rouge sighed. "Why do I get the feeling we're heading into a trap?" She asked nobody in particular, flying after Justin. Luna followed.

Justin kept on running at full speed, until a few robots showed up, ready to intercept them. Justin slashed two apart with his forearm blades, and smashed another with his nunchaku.
Dante ran into a few robots, too. He easily took care of them with a few brutal swings of Rebellion.
