Ooh...Critical animations. The ones for the monsters are quite frightening.

Best: Hero critical, there's just something really awesome about a guy/gal (Echidna ftw) tossing their shield into the air, then jumping into the air and landing with a sword/axe to the face.

Worst: Yea..I'll go with the Mage critical on this one. The ones for RD are far more impressive and Path of Radiance was just a mage doing a pissed off motion and then blasting their foe with louder magic XD.

Best:General with melee axe, lance, or sword. Because what's more awesome than a heavily armored figure spinning a weapon around at high rates of speed?(a close second is Hector as a Great Lord using Armads. I only saw it once in all the times I played FE7 and it was epic.)

Worst: Knight. It's frankly quite boring, I mean what's so exciting about just adding a single spin before doing the exact same thing as your regular attack?

Best: Lyn's Sol Katti critical! -starry eyes-

Worst: I'll second Wallace's choice of Knight Critical. It's not as impressive as the others.

Alright this week's Best/Worst Red Haired character. I know Serenes has done this one. They need to have hair that is some shade of red, so yes magenta counts. (Seth sees this he would argue Shinon is a red head because his hair is magenta. I'm saving myself some headaches.)

Best: This is a hard one to choose, but I'm going with Azel. For one thing, he's your first mage in Genealogy of the Holy War. (FE4) On top of that, he promotes to Mage Knight, a class that has good mobility. Sure he doesn't have the best growths, but he can become a Mage Knight by chapter 2 if you train him the right way...and of course have him hog the EXP.

Worst: Sadly I'm giving this to Salem, a Dark Mage in FE5. Just as a dark mage, that would be one reason he gets a low liking. I, myself, actually found him to be amazing on my playthrough. The thing is I had way too many magic units by the end, and I decided to bench him because his dark magic weighed him down.

Oh Mel, you flatter me!

Best: Now, for the sake of not sounding self centered, I'm not going to pick myself. For the best, I'm gonna have to give it to Shinon, for one, he's a damned good sniper, and two, he is just so freaking badass!

Worst: Contrary to what Zeiss said, I'm gonna have to pick Azel for the worst, he just doesn't strike me as that much of an interesting character, other than the fact that he has Alvis for a half-brother, nothing much strikes him as interesting.

I'm assuming that since it says "best/worst red haired character", that it's talking more on the lines of the character his/herself rather than as a unit. Meaning this is a rather subjective topic, yaaay.

Best: Oh, well, if we're counting any shade of red, then of course my vote goes to Oliver! Have you ever seen anybody more deliciously disgusting, corrupt and yet so beautiful? Hands down one of the most interesting characters and one of the most jaw dropping villains in Tellius- no, in FE itself and he even gets his own awesome theme music because of just how awesome he is. [HM to Caineghis, Titania, Shinon, and Joshua]

Worst: ...I'm sorry, but... Roy. Just. *grunt* I don't like how the game portrays him as this wise leader, when in reality he's making a bunch of buttshit illogical choices. And, Merlinus is portrayed as bad when he speaks against them? What in the ******** is this. [DHM to Priscilla]

Best: Titania!

Time for my super biased opinion! Deputy Commander of the Greil Mercenaries, super paladin who destroys everything even up to endgame with wrath/resolve combo along with great supports with Rhys, Boyd, Ike, and Mist along with counter comes the Red-Tressed Knight Titania. Now, I really like Seth but Titania is incredibly independent, powerful, and she's not afraid to get her hands dirty when the going gets rough. She gets even better in FE 10 and is easily the best paladin in that game with the ability to cap everything by endgame with the help of a seraph robe. Sol is awesome for keeping her alive and she goes quite nicely with Urvan and its +5 resistance. Not to mention the fact that her shade of red is a startling scarlet. Oliver is also great along with Shinon in regard to personality, but I still like the Deputy Commander of the Greil Mercenaries. Her backstory and furtive asides leaved me always wanting more and thinking how awesome it would be if Greil had his own Fire Emblem and Titania was the red cavalier in that game. Shinon's back story would be cool too, but I found myself not caring near the end of FE 9 and 10.

Still love ya, Seth and your ability to solo FE8.

Worst: Roy

To be honest Roy is far too young to lead an army and as Rath said it's highly illogical when the wise man (Merlinus who has been in many campaigns with Eliwood and Hector) gets brushed off to the side while Roy makes his own decisions without much tactical advice from anyone else and ends ups in the limelight. Ike at least had Soren and Titania and admitted that he needed his friends to help him out. Roy....Neh... That and he's not so great as a unit in general and I hate how he doesn't even promote to anything interesting. (Master Lord with sword of seals..Honestly!? That is so disappointing. >.> )

Best: Cyas- ******** Sety, Asvel does his job just as well, and with extra authority stars that affect EVERYONE and a staff user, Cyas has more to offer than just a crappy book (I know, exaggeration, but one can still rock the ******** out with Asvel).

Worst: FE1!Chany Now, I like Chany in FE11, copy/pasta of Zagaro and Wolf is fun, but sadly, in FE1 and 3 for that matter, Chany keeps his HP the same, thus loses out on fun 10HP to 60HP, like whoever heard of a Doga clone with 10 HP? On that note, a Mage with 10HP? Ouch, not to mention you'd have to give him your good s**t for him to be good.

Honourable mentions to Salem for being a staff user who can defend himself from the start to avoid auto capture, Azel for being your best boss killer for a long while and Celica for being so damn sexy and having access to both swords and magic, and being your only Draco Zomb killer for the majority of the game.

Dishonourable mentions to Machis and Biraku for being unnecessary in light of Abel and Kain, FE11 Est for not having the Star Orb's 30% growths to 100% grow in everything and FE3/12! Maria for joining last chapter, last phase, but she's more novelty so I won't count her as an actual playable character.

Extra: Salem joins with a C rank in staffs, sold! Azel gets a horse upon promotion, good Spd to OHKO 90% of enemies/weaken bosses (with most enemies having 0 RES in this game anyway) for others to do the finishing blow with and makes a good father, so you should train him for inheritance bonus, sold!

Really? Asvel can substitute for Sety and do just as well? REALLY? And all Sety offers is that book of his? Sety comes with an A in staves, too, last I checked. So all Cyas really has over Sety is a couple leadership stars. But who wants Holsety anyway? It's not like it's considered the greatest tome players have access to in the history of the entire Fire Emblem series.

…oh, wait.

And Alan is considered top tier FE6 material, just behind Lance. Very perplexing decisions and commentary, this week.

...Um. That's because it has nothing to with units. It's about characters. o_e
