They visited for a while longer, and then Earendil thought that they should probably leave the five of them alone - they would probably have things that they would want to talk about in private, and they hadn't seen each other in over three thousand years, after all.

They said their goodbyes, and Earendil ushered Lin and Miyuki back out into the cool morning - which was fast approaching noon.

"So who do you want to visit next?" he grinned at Lin. "I've seen everyone recently, but you haven't. I'll leave it up to you."

"Guaranteed they would be asking question after question," Earendil chuckled in reply, heading over to Celebor and Niyana's house. "But I won't spoil it for you and tell you what Celebor and the others have been up to, I'll let you ask them yourself."

Earendil chuckled softly. "You're welcome."

Celebor's house was almost exactly as it had been the last time Lin had been there, save that the ivy had grown to cover almost its entire face. Earendil knocked on the door when they arrived, and then, before they could wait for a response, he opened the door and headed inside.

The house hadn't changed, save that it was a decade older than it had been the last time the visitors had been there. The foyer was the first room, hooks for cloaks, shelves for gloves or hats or weapons, and a rack for footwear, and a hallway heading further into the house (lined with pictures from Niyana) as well as a stairway to the side that led to the upper level of the house.

"Come on in," Celebor's voice called from down the hallway.

Earendil smiled down at Lin and Miyuki. "Come on."

Earendil smiled at Miyuki. "That was Celebor, my cousin and your mother's nephew."

They reached the end of the hallway, which opened into the living room, and there, sitting on various pieces of furniture, were Shiro, Kaito, Celebor, Niyana and Ruque. Half of Ruque's face was scarred, as was his left hand, but the incident had been a long time ago and there was no lingering pain. He was smiling just as well as any of the others.

"Welcome!" Celebor beamed, rising from his seat to greet their newly arrived guests. "And congratulations! Kaito told us the news."

"We've been doing very well," Celebor grinned, motioning for them to take a seat. "The girls are gone on a trip, Ruran is off hunting with Kadmiel, and Ruque ..."

Ruque smiled at the three and waved to them with his scarred left hand. "Back to my experiments," he said cheerfully. "Though I'm taking a break for today."

"Well, being as it's winter, I've been experimenting with magic a bit - safely," he added before he could raise undue alarm. "But next week I'll be starting some experiments with different kinds of soil, seeing what compositions work best for different types of plants. Nothing with fire or explosives or combustibles."

He smiled at Lin, though the scarred side of his face barely moved so his smile was quite lopsided. "I've learned my lesson with those."
