he was being gentler around her, which was a little odd, but he just smiled as he held the sleeping child

Goddess of Earth and the Seasons,

Something was wrong and she knew it. There was a sense of discomfort from the earth, like when Hades had kidnapped Persephone many eons ago. The earth's warning was stifling and overwhelming. Walking over to her throne, she struggled not to stumble over herself.
A war was brewing and Demeter did not know when it would happen.

Just as she reached to her throne, Demeter felt a pain in her heart that was unbearable. She reached for the armrest, only to come short and hitting the end table that was next to her throne. Falling, her hand grasped a hold of her looking glass, only to have it broken as Demeter collapsed onto the floor.

Demeter just knew it then that it was either going to be Zeus or Hades that she had to side with. Her king or her child...? This was why she was restless lately. A choice that would be hard for her.

Hera was sitting on her throne as she held her son close to her as she was petting his head sofetly and kissed his forhead as her daughter was her crib asleep"it's ok..everything will be ok" she said as she sighed and looked up at the sky"i hope.."
