@Raven: Something similar happened to me, only it was with a friend's uncle. She was only 5 years old, though, so she wouldn't understand if I told her. I doubt anyone from her family has told her about it, either. My parents and hers were mutual friends, and we'd go over to their house every week. Her uncle started taking an interest in me, and it started out as just playing video games in his room, or using his computer to check Gaia while I was over there. Then it turned into sexual abuse, and it continued for a few years. He only raped me once, but the sexual abuse happened more often than not. He took my virginity, he took my first kiss, he took everything away me.

I was so uncomfortable around him when our two families went out for public outtings. He would always try to sit next to me, cop a feel, or just smile at me so creepily.. I hated it. I finally managed to tell my parents, but it wasn't planned, it just.. sort of happened, at my friend's ballet recital. I didn't call the police on him because my friend's father asked me not but.. her father and my father assured me that they took him to the woods and beat his a** senseless. That was enough for me.. Even after all he did, I just couldn't break up their family. He received a beating of his lifetime, he got his punishment. I believe he's not allowed to be around children, either, the last time I heard. I know for a fact he won't hurt my friend. Messing with her is like asking to be killed, so I know she's safe as well.

@ Kuro. ~Hugs~ He also took away my virginity. Thats good that they beat his a**, and great he can never be anywhere near children and that your friend is safe. I didn't want the police called, But the school had to do it. I'm glad that my auntie and her husband never had any children together. The only other family members that have children is my mothers sister and they won't have him there either. I can't wait for the day when he dies. Hopefully a slow painful one. He is an alcoholic so I shouldn't be waiting too many years longer.

Alex is supposedly going to be on soon, so I wanna wait up. And I have lots of plans this weekend, so it won't be much of a break from the hell that is the school week. Maybe I can sleep next weekend... XD

True... you sound like me XD I don't stop anything for being ill. I was really ill for like 5 weeks (with this cough from hell) and every week I went to work they'd be like "You should be at home in bed!" and I was all like "But I have to come to work O.O". POWER ON GIRL! POWER ON! (take some medicine for it, like ibuprofen or paracetamol or something though, if you aren't already)

Because I can kill illnesses in a day. :3

For that sore throat, take three tablespoons of honey, one teaspoon of straight lemon juice, and one cup of water. Mix and gargle.

If you spread that Vick's Vapo-Rub stuff on your feet, wrap them, and put socks on before you sleep, then you'll wake up with no cough.
I hate the smell of it... XD So I can never put it on my chest or back, because I'll never fall asleep.
But I was like, "It's not just the vapors that help... it's the stuff that gets absorbed that ultimately helps the most..." So I put it on my feet, because your feet absorb a lot... Woke up with no cough.

Zinc and Echinacea will cure you right up. As soon as you feel like you're gonna get a cold, eat some pumpkin seeds and take some Echinacea tabs, or get a non-caffeine energy drink with it...

Drink lots of hot fluids, stay warm to the point of sweating for as much as you can tolerate it, and you may not even see the brunt of it.

If you don't have a ton of pillows to elevate yourself with, like most people, just take two pillows and put them between the box spring and the mattress, to have a more gradual incline... Then use your normal amount of pillows.

When you blow your nose, don't blow it through both nostrils, either. It causes a blowback and you can get ear infections from the virus being pushed back into your ears. XD Gross as it is, it's something to keep in mind. *nods*

I was like that when I used to go to school as well... If I'm really ill (or hungover sweatdrop ) I won't go to uni. But our lectures where put online so it's not a biggy if you miss a day XD

Edit : Bananas have zinc in them
