Kedrick Suwa

"A visitor." Came the clipped reply from behind the door. It was certainly not Dimitri's voice, it sounded like a girl. The moment the door was open a crack Arielle could see that she was right. It was a young woman of maybe twenty one years of age, she had a somewhat cold expression and raven black hair that fell down all the way to her waist. She looked at Arielle for a moment with a look that was clearly a mixture of surprise and suspicion. "I was under the impression that Kedrick Suwa lived here. Is he in?" She asked in the same slightly clipped manner. This didn't seem like the kind of girl you wanted as an enemy.

Kedrick rinsed the shampoo out of his hair as quickly as he could and sponged the majority of the wet off of his body before pulling on his pants and almost running out of the room, struggling into his shirt as he went. He froze at the bottom of the stairs, staring at the young woman in the doorway. "Sakimi?..." He asked, his voice cracking slightly. "You got that right." She said with a slightly menacing smile.

Obviously you're a visitor, Arielle thought drily, keeping that remark to herself in the safest place imaginable; her mind. As she opened the door, she noticed a woman who looked a couple years older then her. The expression on her face made Arielle feel small and insignificant. "H-H-He does," Arielle quietly answered back, somehow wanting to be far away from her.

She just continued opening the door and moved back so that the woman could enter. She was about to ask her if she wanted a drink or to sit down when she heard Kedrick's voice. Her name was Sakimi. Why in the world did it sound familiar to her?

"Wait...How many sisters do you have Kedrick?" Arielle asked Kedrick.

"I have...seven sisters...," Kedrick responded, mumbling somewhat sheepishly, "Keira, Gwen, Kyla, Raine, Terra, Athena and my older sister Sakimi."

When the memory snapped into her mind, she then remembered and understood why the name sounded familiar. She had asked him that question when they were at her grandparent's for dinner before the Harvest Dance. She was surprised to already be meeting one of his sisters. However, she kept herself quiet, not knowing what to say.

Kedrick Suwa

Kedrick swallowed stiffly, He had always been somewhat intimidated by his oldest sister, she hadn't changed much since she was five or six, she had been a monster child then and she was a monster child now. "You uh...you dyed your hair..." He pointed out timidly and somewhat lamely. Sakimi snorted derisively. "'Course, You don't think I wanted anyone to guess we where siblings did you?" She asked with a coy smirk.Kedrick shuffled his feet. "No..I guess that wouldn't be much good..." He said with a frown. He looked up quickly. "Uh, Sakimi, this is my uh...housekeeper...Arielle...Arielle this is my uh...." He paused uncertainly and Sakimi gave him 'a look' He cleared his throat. "sister."

Arielle kept quiet, staring at the floor awkwardly. She should have been somewhat cheerful to meet a member of Kedrick's family, but just the aura around Sakimi made her think twice. She only listened to their small conversation, keeping to herself. When Kedrick introduced them, she looked up, somewhat quickly, before smiling shyly. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Sakimi" was the only thing that Arielle managed to say without sounding like an idiot.

When Kedrick had called her his housekeeper, it made her remember what position she was in. It had been so easy to forget about it with the way the spent their time together. Ever since she moved in with Kedrick, she never saw herself as his housekeeper. Although, some part of her didn't like to be introduced as his housekeeper.

In fact, that same part of her thought he was going to say "This is my friend, Arielle" or even "This is my girlfriend, Arielle", but as far as Arielle remembered, they weren't going out. Plus, she knew that she never told Kedrick how she felt about him, even though she thought he might have understood when she had let him kiss her the night of the dance. It was also pretty much obvious that Arielle had a thing for Kedrick, but it still made her wonder if he noticed at all.

Before she could get farther into her thoughts, she was once again aware that she wasn't the only one in the room. Looking at Kedrick and Sakimi, she smiled as pleasantly as she could. "Would you guys like anything to drink?"

Kedrick Suwa

To Arielle's surprise, Sakimi laughed, really laughed. "Ms.?!?" She asked, gasping for air. It was funny how laughter, or a smile could change someone's whole face. "I don't think Ms. is really necessary." She said with a smirk. "Just call me Sakimi, 'kay Chika?" Sakimi said, placing her hands on her hips. She straightened up a moment, and looked between Kedrick and Arielle, she blinked, frowned, the walked over to Kedrick and grabbed his earlobe pulling him close to whisper in his ear. As Sakimi whispered in her younger brother's ear, Arielle could see his face go slightly pink. He turned quickly to her, whispering it turn. Sakimi blinked and then whispered to him again. This time Kedrick didn't just go pink, Arielle had never seen anyone's face go a red as Kedricks. His face turned scarlet red all the way up into his hairline, even his ears had turned brilliant red. "N-No it's not like it!" Kedrick said quickly forgetting to whisper, even when someone asked if she and Kedrick where an item he had never gone this red, it must have been about something else.. "Uh-huh." Sakimi said, there was no missing the sarcasm in her voice. "I think we'll take that drink now Arielle."

Arielle blinked in surprise when Sakimi started laughing. She was definitely not expecting that to happen at all. It was nice to hear her laugh though, made it seem like she wasn't a completely intimidating person. She nodded with a more casual smile, "Okay, Sakimi."

She then noticed how Sakimi was looking at her and then Kedrick. The sudden change in her expression confused her just a bit. She looked at the two siblings as they whispered to each other and noticing how Kedrick's face seemed to get redder each time his sister finished whispering to him. She blinked in surprise when Kedrick stated that something wasn't like that, which made Arielle somewhat curious, but it wasn't her business to pry so she just kept it to herself.

Nodding again when Sakimi said that would like a drink, Arielle tried to remember what they had to drink in the fridge. "We have milk, juice, water, and soda," Arielle said, listing them off as she remembered anything. "What would you two like to drink?"

Kedrick Suwa

"I'll have a soda thanks." Sakimi said as the three of them walked into the kitchen. Sakimi made herself comfortable in one of the chairs, elegantly crossing one leg over the other, underneath her intimidating air, there was something classy and elegant about Sakimi that refused to be ignored. "I think I'll just make myself a coffee thanks..." Kedrick said with a small smile as he walked over to the coffee pot. "Uhg, you and that coffee, you'd think it was a staple or something." Sakimi groaned, rolling her eyes. Kedrick looked back at her. "what? I like coffee, I can't help it!" He said with a slight smirk.

Arielle nodded and followed them into the kitchen, heading over to the cupboard and pulled out a medium sized cup for Sakimi. It dawned on her that she was still holding on to the book that she had been reading before Sakimi came over. She placed it on the counter, making sure to get it later. She walked over to the fridge, opening the door and pulled out the soda that they had. She could tell that they still had enough food for awhile, but eventually she would have to go to the store and buy some more food.

After pouring the soda in the cup and putting the soda away, she walked over to Sakimi and handed her the cup. She listened to the conversation and laughed lightly. "Anything else you need?"

Kedrick Suwa

Sakimi smile. "nah, that ought to be fine." She said, taking the cup from Arielle and taking a sip. Kedrick returned to the table the ever present cup of coffee in hand. He sat down across from his sister. "So Sakimi...." He said, looking over at her. "So what?" She asked. "Well, it's kind of unaccustomed for you to just 'drop by'' what's the deal?" He asked raising one eyebrow, something he was very good at. Sakimi sighed dramatically. "Okay, so you're on to me, I have a bit of news to deliver." She said, setting the cup of soda on the table. "Spill." Kedrick said, cocking his head slightly to the side. "Athena's sick again, she was admitted into the hospital yesterday." She said shortly. Kedrick coughed on his coffee. "How bad?" He asked. "Pretty bad." She said picking the cup back and taking another sip. "Yesterday night her fever spiked and we had to take her to the hospital. She's doing better this morning but I thought you should know." Kedrick nodded, looking back down at his cup.

"Okay," Arielle said with a small smile, "Just let me know if there's anything you need." She walked back to the counter and picked up the book. Since there was nothing she needed to do at the current moment, she could probably return to Kedrick's grandfather's study and read or even go into the living room so that she could stay close just in case either Sakimi or Kedrick needed anything.

When the conversation switched over to another one of Kedrick's sisters, Arielle realized that she should probably just leave the room. She knew that this news had nothing to do with her, but she did worry all the same, because it was someone important to Kedrick. I'll let them stay by themselves, she thought as she walked back over to them. "I'll be in the living room. Please let me know if you need me or anything." Before either of them could say anything, she walked into the living room and sat on the couch, opening to book and starting from the beginning.

After a couple of seconds into the book, Arielle could hear her phone ringing from in her room. She sighed and sat the book on the couch and hurried upstairs. She had left it there before she and Kedrick went out that day, but since no one rarely called her, she wasn't too concerned. As she entered her room, she grabbed her phone and answered it. "Hello?"

"Hello again, Arielle," answered a familiar voice, his low voice sending chills throughout her body. It was a voice that she had dreaded hearing again.

"J-Jonesy...," Arielle managed to get out, almost feeling like her phone would fall from her hands. Her mind was in shock as it tried to wrap itself around and explain for this sudden call.

The voice laughed before speaking again, "Glad to see that you still remember my name." She could tell from the way that he was speaking that he had a smirk on his face.

I wish I could have forgotten your name, Arielle thought, closing the door quietly and taking deep breaths. "What do you want, Jonesy?"

"Nothing special. Just wanted to talk," he responded calmly, but she could still tell that there was probably a dangerous smile on his face, "You don't mind that, do you?"

"N-No...," Arielle muttered while thinking that she did mind and that she wanted him off the phone immediately.

Kedrick Suwa

((Yikes!!!))
Kedrick sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "You know..." Sakimi said, rubbing her finger around the rim or her glass. "You are her favorite sibling..." She promoted, resting an elbow on the table. "I would probably mean a lot if you'd go see her.." Kedrick nodded soundlessly breathing a sigh. "I know, I'll ask Arielle if she'd like to come along, I'll go over sometime tonight." "Like within the next hour?" Sakimi asked, her brows knitting together. "Yeah...I'll go see Arielle about it." He said standing up. "Alright then." Sakimi said standing up as well. "I'll be on my way, got to go back home and help with the other wild children of our family." Kedrick nodded. "Okay, thanks for stopping by." Sakimi simply smiled and swept out of the room.

Kedrick stepped up to Arielle's room, knocking on the door. "Ari, Can I talk to you fo..." He paused mid-sentence, hearing her talking on the phone, something sounded off about her voice.

"Good," Jonesy replied rather smugly, "I've been meaning to catch up with my favorite employee, but I could never make the time."

"Oh really?" Arielle responded, getting her voice back. She was hardly aware of the fact that Kedrick had just knocked on her door, but after a few seconds her mind registered the sound of his voice. Oh no.....

"Of course my dear," Jonsey continued, the smugness still in his voice, "Ever since our last meeting, I was worried."

Dry laughter came out of Arielle's mouth, her response sounded cold, "What do you mean by that? If I remembered correctly, you were the ones that knocked me out and put me in the Pet Shop. You said it was to teach me a lesson. You're lying when you said that you're concerned."

Arielle heard silence before Jonesy had broke out laughing on the other end. Something told her that was a bad thing. "That was only the beginning. You were supposed to be taken in by one of my clients, but apparently, it didn't go as planned. Either you were able to escape or someone else took you, but after hearing that voice in the background, I knew that someone took you. He sounds young too...and weak."

She felt her fists balled up. It was obvious that he was ticking her off now. "Listen, Jonesy," Arielle started darkly, "You keep Kedrick out of this. I'm not one of your employees anymore, so stay away from me and everyone else I care about. I told you that when I was old enough to get a job, that I'd leave. My tenure with you is over, I'm not going to take part in your sick games."

"So his name is Kedrick, hmmm," Jonesy said somewhat absentmindedly, "Technically, you're tenure isn't completely over, or have you forgotten that? Plus, now that you're older, my clients will pay "special" attention to you." There was a hint of a smug smile by the ending of his sentence, she could already tell. "How about we discuss this in person. Tomorrow."

"But that's Sunday," Arielle mumbled, quiet enough so that Kedrick couldn't hear.

"Do you have any other plans with this Kedrick guy, Arielle?" Jonesy asked, pretending to act like his feelings were hurt, "Just come, Arielle. You don't have to worry about me "disciplining" you."

Arielle shuddered at the thought of Jonesy's "discipline". It was true that she had no plans that she knew of at the moment, but that would probably change in time. She only sighed before responding tensely, "Get off my phone, NOW."

There was more silence on the other end. She could hear movement and only waited for some type of response. "Fine, I'll take it as you're coming."

Arielle was about to step in, tell him she wasn't coming, when the next thing she heard made her heart drop. "And if you don't come, I'll have a "special" talk with your dear Kedrick. Now we don't want any of that, do we?"

"N-No...no we don't," Arielle responded sadly. It almost sounded like she was going to cry.

"So, I shall be seeing you tomorrow then. Five o' clock PM at the usual spot. Try not to be late, Ms. Shore," Jonesy concluded in a grave tone, "Until then, have a pleasant day."

The other line went dead in a matter of seconds, meaning that the phone call was over. She only stared at her phone, feeling completely numb. What have I gotten myself into? Arielle thought with a sigh as she closed her phone and tossed it on her bed. She walked over to her door and saw Kedrick there, but she was not surprised as she should be. The expression on her face would have made Kedrick worry, and she knew there was no point in trying to change it to lie to Kedrick. "How much did you hear?"

(Got carried away with the dialogue @.@.)

Kedrick Suwa

"Enough to know something very wrong." He said gravely, a furrow between his eyebrows. He stepped into Arielle's room, seeing the phone still dangling from her seemingly limp hand. He reached out, putting both his hands on her shoulders and pushing her gently into a sitting position. He eased himself down onto the mattress beside her, feeling the springs creek slightly. "Alright." He said gently, brushing a stray piece of hair out of her face. "From the beginning Arielle, I want to know everything."

Arielle didn't say anything as Kedrick walked in and sat her on her bed. He had a right to know, especially since he had asked her that question the other day. She was going to tell him, she hated to keep the truth from him, but not from the way it seemed to happen. She felt like crying when he brushed some hair out of her face. Just how long was he going to be nice to her like this?

"Three years ago," Arielle started slowly, remembering everything clearly, "This all started three years ago. I had been living with my grandparents for about six years by then, you know, after my folks died. I really wanted to find some kind of work to do, to repay my grandparents for everything that they've done. I've always been grateful for them, still am actually. It's hard to get work when you're thirteen, especially since you aren't legally allowed to work until sixteen. But I wouldn't give up. I really wanted to do something for them. Then, that's when I met Jonesy."

She paused, trying to figure out how best to explain her little encounter with Jonesy. "It was one spring morning, and I left to pass out fliers so that someone could use me to do anything. Walk dogs, babysit, anything. Jonesy took one of them and said he had a position for me, and desperate for anything, I accepted. That same day, he explained what I had to do, which was basically housekeeping and stuff, like a maid. It wasn't a big deal for me since I helped clean out around my grandparents house. He never gave me full details besides that, just told me that I would be working at different houses. I thought that they were houses with a bunch of kids and busy parents and he was like their butler or something like that. However, I was completely wrong from that."

Arielle had chosen that time to look away from Kedrick. She began to feel ashamed, which was why she couldn't look him in the face. "They were a bunch of older men... And they were all perverts. They always kept giving me these weird looks or tried to touch me. I never let them of course. Of course, this made Jonesy mad. He thought that I was willing to do anything, but I had my limits. I would never let a stranger touch me, ever. We soon had a discussion and I told him that I would do this until I turned sixteen, however, I was not supposed to be touched by any of them at all. I thought he understood, but I should have known better."

"He kept trying to employ me to people who would break my will," Arielle said angrily, "Of course, that's when I started taking martial arts, karate and such, so I was always alright. Sadly, Jonesy had his own way of "disciplining" me because of this. Different torture methods usually, sometimes leaving me in dark rooms, beating me, almost anything twisted he could think of. No matter what he did, I still wasn't going to do what he and everyone else wanted me to do. I would only be the hired housekeeper, not some...some slut..."

When she said that, her face looked disgusted. She remembered when people started to find out that she was seen around ton with different older men, getting the wrong ideas. Of course, she couldn't really explain it to them because they would never believe her. Plus, it was why all the most popular guys in her school took interest in her, only because of those rumors. The only person she could truthfully tell this to was Maria, who understood the girl more then anyone else, even more then her grandparents.

"Things continued like this," Arielle continued, now staring at the floor then at Kedrick, "Sometimes, I came home with bruises, but whenever my grandparents asked, I just told them I hurt myself or it happened it my karate class. There were even some times when I just had to stay at Maria's because I couldn't face to see my grandparents. It was Maria who convinced me to explain to them what was going on. I was hesitant at first, but she promised to come with me. It was hard telling them this, but when I fully explained why, they understood. It didn't help them from being worried though."

"Everything seemed to calm down after awhile, and even though I told them, I still felt ashamed of myself. I couldn't wait to turn sixteen and be free from all of this, and by the time I did, I told Jonesy that I was done working for him. He didn't seem too thrilled about it, but he let me go, so I was sure that he had given up. That is, until I had the most fortunate meeting with him the week before I met you in that shop."

She said, now finding that this part of the story would be the hardest part to tell him. She started messing with her hair, trying to find the words needed to finish her story. "I knew he was up to something, it was some bad feeling I had, but when I saw him, he only kindly said hello before walking away. I felt so uneasy after that, so scared and worried. I could hardly sleep at night. Then, the day before I met you, while I was spending time with Maria, Jonesy and a bunch of goons came out of nowhere."

She paused shuddering at the memory. She had stopped messing with herself and had now wrapped her arms around herself. "I told Maria to run and asked her to lie if my grandparents asked about where I was, saying that I was staying at her house. I couldn't bring myself to get her in danger. The last thing I remembered before being unconscious was the look on Jonesy's face. It's a look that still haunts my memories. He said he was going to me a lesson, turns out he didn't want me to leave at all. He covered my mouth with a napkin and I think it had chloroform. Actually, I think it was because I remember the world going all black."

"I then woke up in the Pet Shop you met me in with that stupid collar around my neck. I was basically ready to just admit my defeat. I was so scared then, but I tried to act like it was nothing, hoping that I would be freed from that prison. And then you came in, and at first, I thought you were the person Jonesy sent to teach me my lesson. But after noticing that you couldn't be him, since you were too kind and you acted very nervous around me after holding my hand for some period of time, I thought that I was being saved. And I really thought that the whole lesson thing was just being sent into that Pet Shop. I was so happy to be out of there, and I really thought things were starting to look up for me. I really did."

Silent tears had started to fall down Arielle's face. She was now scared for what was going to happen after she met up with Jonesy the next day. "I have to see him tomorrow. He said, he said if I didn't come, he'd do something to you. I couldn't let him do that, I just couldn't," she paused now, her voice starting to break as it was more apparent that she was crying, "I love you too much to let Jonesy do anything to you, but I'm so scared at the same time..." She slowly looked up at Kedrick, every fiber of her being feeling ashamed, "I'm so sorry Kedrick... I never meant for this to happen..."

She had finished her story, but part of her was now afraid of what Kedrick would think. Just as she had managed to look him in the eyes, she looked away again, hugging herself tightly.

Kedrick Suwa

Kedrick listened to her in silence, suddenly feeling very much the way he had when Dimitri had told him everything two and a half years ago. He reached out, gingery brushing the tears off of her cheeks. He turned her face towards him gently, rubbing his thumbs under her eyes, brushing her tears away. "It's okay..." He said softly, closing his eyes and touching his forehead to hers. "It's okay, I won't let him hurt you, I won't let you go..." He murmured softly, still rubbing her cheeks. "There's nothing he could do to me that could be worse than hurting you..." Kedrick said, not opening his eyes. "Listen to me very closely Arielle....I love you This guy, or anything he's done to you is not going to change that..."
