Billy frowned at Xiao's words. "You know, and this is just me but... Isn't 'witch' kind of... Mean? I mean, it sounds kind of derogatory, is all." he said.
Luke grinned. "Yeah, I know what you mean," he said to Blackstone. "I started out from my home about a week ago, and I saw my mom earlier here in New York when we got here. It was nice seing her after a week. When I was in college, it was for months. It sucked, you know?"

Xiao looked back at him. "Perhaps it is....but she herself has referred to herself in that manor. She was raised in a time when that term was...."politically correct". he replied, then stopped in front of a large gem covered box.
=====================
Blackstone smiled a bit. "I do...it has been years since I have seen Edel. At times....longer than that."

Steven was lost. Again. Damn this house! Sighing, he took his magically augmented compass out of his pocket, only to have it whirl uselessly around, pointing everywhere and nowhere. Damn, damn, DAMN! THIS was what came of trying to be helpful! He'd been perfectly happy with his women and his television show, but noooo.
Maybe if he asked for help? "Um... hello?" The very pink hallway was completely empty, and he felt very stupid, but there it was.

And asking for help was all anyone needed while in Edel's house. Even if she was becoming increasingly frustrated with the number of guests she had to tend to....she still had a few lingering servants to help when they were needed.
"Good Evening." an overly cheerful voice came suddenly from right behind Strange. A woman, wearing what could only be an early American styled blue and white dress was standing uncomfortably close behind the Sorcerer. She smiled at him, her brown hair tucked comfortably in a bow at the back of her hair, and her hands clasped neatly in front of her.
"Do you need something Sir? It's really not often that we have anyone travel so far down these halls. I dare say you've taken the long way around to get here. Another door and you'd have found yourself in the woman's wing of the house. Though from what I've heard about the Goddess, she probably wouldn't have minded that one bit. Oh, are you going to see her? Only other people around here besides her would be down the hall and to the right. Natalie's down there, but you probably wouldn't want to see her. Not many people do." she said. And nearly continued on. She was either a great talker....or it had been some time since she'd had someone new to talk to.

Steven nearly jumped out of his skin and spun around, green eyes quite wide. As the woman spoke, though, his expression shifted from one of extreme surprise to blank confusion. Natalie? Was that the little girl, or what? After a moment, he gathered up his composure and replied smoothly. "I wasn't looking for anyone in particular. Miss Edel seemed to think that there were some books that might be of assistance, but I can't seem to locate the library." Although... Goddess... Had he met her, yet? That could be... Dammit, no. Fun later, work now.

”Oh, you're looking for books, are you?” the woman asked, smiling widely. ”Oh, you're in luck! It's really not that far from here. Matter of fact, with all the halls and doors you must have gone through, it should have just opened one of the doors up too you. Everything usually makes what someone wants in this place. But you must really want or need it. You must not have been wanting it too badly. Funny thing you ended up near the ladies hall though. But I won't think anything of it. Easy to get lost in here. Very easy. So at least you didn't end up in the basement with all the Mistresses dragon and animal collection. They really don't like strangers. Hate men really. Though I wouldn't blame them. What, with all the knights and dragon stories, can't all just be made up, can they?” she said, then paused a moment and blinked at him.
”What were we talking about again? Ah yes! The library. Just follow me! The Goddess and that “Aow” person or whatever his name is has been a bit bored. I've been fetching them books a lot now today. You just follow me and I'll take you right to it.” she said, then moved past him to open a door on the right. Well.....floated was more like it. Glided. She really didn't seem to have any feet under the bottom of her dress, and the lacy bottom of it kind of sank through the floor and a corner of the wall as she turned through the doorway.
”Just mind the dress now. It's not mine, and the Mistress was kind enough to turn the material into something I could actually wear. Isn't it lovely? I've always admired all of the early American clothing and houses and everything. Some of the other workers are from that time. I don't get to talk to them very much when we have this much company though. We all have to stay around our assigned areas unless we're needed. I'm always in a hall where no one ever comes. No one. Sad really. You're the first person I've seen since...well the little girl. Oh, speaking of which...watch out for a little red headed child. I think she multiplied when she was playing hide and seek with us, and I'm not sure she's put herself back together yet. That's just what we need, isn't it? Such an odd little girl. I'm waiting to see one of them ride a unicorn through the halls. Just seems like something they would do.” she rattled on as she lead Strange down one hallway, and crossed into another. A large, decoratively arched oak door sat on the end of the hall. A beautiful but rather imposing looking old door.
”Ah, since the Mistress is letting you in, you shouldn't have to worry about being expelled by the door. If you come across any doors that are as big as this, or have jewels lining the corners of it like this....chances are it's a room you shouldn't go into. Although the ball room has a door like this and it's fine to go into. As is the great lounge area. At least I think they're okay to go into. I've never seen one of those doors take someone into the prison chambers or blast someone into the next wall or quite literally eat someone or-”

Xiao picked up the gem covered box and carefully pulled it out of the red glow surrounding the shelf it was sitting on. Very carefully, he ran his fingers over the seal of the box. The gems began to glow, and soon the box opened. Inside, was a very thick, golden tiara filled with clear crystals. Xiao pulled the tiara out of the box, then gently handed it over to the heroes.
"I know it might not be the style you male humans prefer, but it was a sorceress that designed it. It will help draw you towards the location of the item you are seeking."
=============================
Blackstone took another look back at the room as someone shuffled on the carpet inside. "Well, perhaps I'd better be taking my leave." he said quietly again. "I'm afraid I'm not very well liked by some of your companions."

"Not well-liked? Well... Alright, sir. Sorry for keeping you," he said, somewhat sheepishly, and he excused himself from Blackstone and went back to Natalie's room.
Billy took the tiara and snickered slightly. "Heh. I'll look silly with this on..." he said, but it was more of a joking tone than a complaining one.

Blackstone knodded, then turned to begin walking down the hall. Unfortunately his decision to leave came just a bit too late.
Alex had started for the door and had bumped into Luke as he came back into the doorway. She smiled a bit as her heart skipped a beat. Allowing her senses to spike just enough....to catch a hint of cologne that was lingering around Lukes hand. Her body instantly tensed up at the smell, and ever inch of her being suddenly went on the offensive. She looked up and past Luke towards the open hall behind him. Her eyes wide, and almost slit with anger.

Luke caught the anger pheromones coming off of Alex, and he looked down to her with confusion. "Hey... what's wrong?" he asked her, a small frown on his face.

Alex didn't look up at him. She just stared past him at the hall. Her anger almost growing the longer she focused on the scent. "Excuse me a minute..." she said. Her voice a very low and dangerous growl. She slipped her way past him and out the door. Once she was in the hall, she found no one standing about except for herself. But the scent was still strong.
...he was still up here.
With that, every indication Alex had turned into the equivalent of a lioness that was one second away from turning someone into a chunk of meat.

// Mreh...I want to move characters... //
...he was gone. At least she couldn't sense him anymore. Not on this floor. Alex snarled and marched down the hall to try and find Blackstone. All but forgetting that Lucas was up here, and she was leaving him behind.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Edel sighed as she moved out of her work room, rubbing the bridge of her nose. This was getting tiresome. She was going to need a long rest after this. A long one. She had no idea how the Sorcerer did this on a daily basis. But she was getting him back. That way she could get her life back. Even if she had to kick that ball of fire with a cape's a** herself. She was getting Strange back. She was never calling her life “dull” again.
She walked down the hall, and into another room. One that...she sensed had a few uninvited guests. And held some of her more sensitive relics and magic. She walked inside and closed the door, looking around the large room. She...didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Everything was still in place. Her stone circle that was mainly used to enter different realities was..... oh.
She frowned, then carefully moved towards the stone circle. It had a faint curl of smoke slithering into the air from the center of the circle. Someone or something had used it...and was now in the room. Only the outside of the circle smoked if someone used it to leave.
”Alright...I know someone's in here. I'm rather tired, and you DON'T want me to spend any more energy in magic than I need to. Come out.” she sighed, looking around the large, cluttered room.

((I'll post for Luke once I get my [BLEEP] together in regards for him.))
There was silence in the cluttered room for a few moments before the sounds of whispering could be heard.
"Adon... That was Grandma Edel!" came the excited voice of what sounded like a toddler; couldn't have been more than four or five years old.

"Shhh!" another small voice scolded. "I don't think we're in the same house..." an equally young sounding voice hissed.
Edel blinked, then turned straight towards the sound of the whispering. With a simple wave of her hand, the two uninvited guests were yanked off the ground and into the air, well out of their hiding spot.
It was...two young boys. Couldn't have been much older than five. One a little dirty from playing outside, probably, with thick, neatly cut brown hair and bright brown eyes. The panda hoodie was cute... And the other child was...well he reminded Edel of Rosie. Still a child...but there was something in the way he held himself, and the look in his eyes, that made it evident that he was much more mature than a five year old. Black hair that was better cut than the other boys, but messy as though he'd been playing as well, and big, dark black eyes.
"....grandma...Edel?" Edel asked as she gently sat the boys down onto the ground.

The boy with the panda hoodie hurried over to Edel and immediately went to hug her around the knees, though he had trouble with Edel's poofy dress.
"Hi Grandma!" he said, obviously very cheery and totally oblivious to the fact that she didn't know who he was. "How'd we get here? Me and Adon were just playing outside in our backyard, and then we arrived here. Is Mommy here? What about Daddy?"
