Melody was happily mixing the tomatoes with some of the ingredients Tex had mixed together. Everything was going great until she heard the knife drop. She gasped as she saw his leg starting to bleed. She looked at Tex horrified. "Who cares about the knife! Your leg, it's bleeding! Wait there!" Melody almost fainted from all the blood but quickly scurried out and back with a towel and guaze and sterile pads. She pressed the towel to his cut leg. Then after cleaning up some of the blood she yanked him down to his feet, covering the cut with the sterile pads, then wrapping it with gauze. "Oh you are so lucky! It isn't as deep as it looks..." Melody was a little relived, but was still panicking.

"I'm ok. . . Seriously. That is actually a lot deeper than it looks. . . It touched the bone," he sighed as if he didn't really feel the cut. "Lady Melody, this is nothing. A flesh wound compared to what I'm used to." He had tilted her chin upwards to look at him when he said this. He really didn't feel the cut. He used to carve weird symbols into his skin when he was younger so it didn't bother him much.

Melody jumped a little when he had touched her, her face turning a little red. "B-but if it is as deep as you say, then why isn't there a lot blood...?" Her eyes widened further, shocked and horrified but what he said. "What!? What could be worse than this?" Melody was not completely panicked. "Oh I'm so sorry! I never knew something could be so horrible..." Melody was on the brink of tears. No matter how much the voices want her to be tough, she'll always be so nice. And now matter how loud they yelled to her, she wouldn't hear them at this time.

Tex sighed. "One time when I was little, my mother cut my tail off and ripped my wings off afterwards. Of course as you can see they grew back. I still have the scar of the knife near my tail and on my shoulder blades. Not only that but I used to carve ancient magick symbols into my skin to hold back at least 95% of my magick so I wouldn't hurt anyone with it. I don't really bleed much because of me being part of the Legion of the Undead. So please do not worry about a small cut running down the side of my leg," Tex said lightly with a hint of kindness in his voice. This would probably freak her out but he had to calm her down somehow.

Melody was frozen with shock and fright. The voices began to whisper to her, but it was zoned out and she couldn't make out what they were saying; her attention only on Tex. When he was done speaking her whole body was shaking, but she threw her arms around him and cried. "Oh I am so sorry! I never knew something like that could ever happen! Oh it must have been so horrible!"

"It's fine. Please don't be skiddish about that. . . My mother has done worse than that. I was just mentioning one of the nicer things she had done. . ." Tex sighed patting her on the back lightly. He shouldn't have said anything and he knew it. He had screwed up and opened his mouth.

Melody sat back and sniffled, putting on a bold face. "I-I'm alright! I'm just a little upset... You don't have to worry about me! I over react sometimes..." She sighed and stood up, going over to the food and finished making it. "Oh and we were having so much fun too!" Then she jumped, very aware of the voices screaming and shrieking loudly at her now. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! DO IT ALREADY!" Melody winced from the shrieking, and closed her eyes. "Do what?! I don't understand! Just go away already!"

"OUCH! Shut up already, you stupid voices!" Tex hissed more to himself as he put his hands over his ears. "Yea. We were. . ."

The voices only went over to Tex and hissed at him. "We WiLl NoT uNtIl YoU aWaKeN hEr!" The voices seemed very agitated and very impatient, but they whispered calmly, "Texenius, we need you... We need you to awaken her..." Melody couldn't here the voices for awhile so she quickly finished up the food. She was trying to leave the kitchen, but then an overwhelming feeling to touch his tail came over her again. She was frozen in her place and she was shaking from keeping her self turned away from him. She was furious too, that the voices wanted her to do it. She knew it was them...

Fine. I'll do it. You want me to have her touch our tail again? Will that help awaken her? Texenius was free from Tex's mind while Tex was trapped inside his own mind.

The voices seemed to cheer now. "Yes! YES! Let her touch your tail... Just let yourself go... Just don't kill her..." A couple voices chuckled and snickered. Melody turned around, horrified. She sensed something was off, and she was right. Something about Tex seemed... frightening... horrible... dangerous... Her eyes were wide open now, dilating.

Texenius smiled as his tail flicked into her hand. He quickly pinned her against the wall. He had let himself go. He was only to be able to be stopped if she hit him.

Melody had flinched her hand away from his tail, but it was too late. She had already touched it and she was pinned against the wall again. Her whole body was frozen. She was too scared to even hit him. But the voices didn't care about her for the moment. "Oh, Texenius. You need to.... hurt... her." The voices now cheered to themselves, happy that she would awaken faster. Except that one voice was quiet, was terrified and worried. It went over to Melody and whispered soothingly, calmly, "It's alright... I won't let him hurt you much... Just awaken..."

He smiled as he pulled back just a little so his tail could slide down her arm slightly cutting it. "You want the voices to stop don't you?" he snickered with an evil grin on his face.

The voices cheered one last time before they disappeared. Melody tried flinching away from his tail, but it ended up cutting her. Her eyes seemed to turn all black, the pupils dilating over the whole eye. Then the pupil seemed to get smaller, but was long and slanted like cats eyes. Her head tilted to the side, a demonic smile creeping onto her face as she stared menacingly at him. "Voices...? What voices?" Her hand reached out quickly and snatched his tail, her nails digging into it. She maneuvered herself out of his grip quickly and threw him across the kitchen using his tail. "Let's have some fun, shall we?"
