Lin nodded with a smile, "Yes, of course."

She echoed in agreement, she didn't see why not. Though she did find it curious, but as they say the more the merrier.

"Good," Donovan nodded as he felt Kara take his arm.

He knew she thought he was such a softy but really he was just being practical about it.

Aerin nodded slowly, then turned and looked up at Caranthir.

"We'll see you all later," the man said to the others, and he and Aerin headed back towards the barracks.

"Sad that her father could be such a man as he is," Haradhel murmured softly. She sighed, then turned to Kara and Donovan and smiled brightly. "So. You've finally come for another visit! It's been a long time, longer than usual."

Donovan shrugged, "It's harder with the twins around, Kara is still at home and Yukito still hasn't gotten use to his new position, and had just finished the Lunar New Year a few days ago."

Well the two week long celebration was, and it was all political really. Visiting other clans, having other clans visit them or the babies, or his mother visiting the babies.

"And then there is my mother," he added dead panned.

"How is Grandmother Mi?" Lin had skipped visiting her grandmother when she got back.

"She's fine... she loves the twins, and a bit sad you didn't show her Miyuki," he paused, "And wondering why you aren't married yet."

Whamp!

"Donovan!" Kara sighed, "Stop teasing her about that, Mi is getting better about that."

"Only because we had girls!" Donovan then explained, "My mother always wanted a girl, she ended up with me instead."

Earendil's heart skipped a beat when Donovan teased Lin about not being married yet. Yes, it was in jest - perhaps - but it struck all too close to home.

He looked down at Lin. "You're expected to be married already?" he asked her, honestly surprised that he hadn't heard of this before. There was a slightly pink tinge to his cheeks, not that he was aware of it.

"I'm her favourite granddaughter," Lin replied giving her father a look, "Unfortunately this means she wants to impose all traditions including marriage."

She paused for a moment thought about it a bit more and then looked accusingly at Donvovan.

"And he cheated her out of a large wedding."

"We had a wedding," Donovan protested, "It was just immediate family and close friends only!"

"See, he cheated her out of a large wedding, and there was no red wedding dress like tradition, and she completely flipped when she found out that according to angelic tradition, the two were married several months before the wedding, because angels do not have weddings," Lin finished.

"Is it my fault she proposed first?"

Kara had to laugh at the two, because really in a way it was mostly Donovan's fault, "I wouldn't have proposed first if you hadn't taken so long."

"The point is, Grandmother Mi is just being herself, if people expected me to get married by now, I would have way, way more nieces and nephews by now."

Earendil chuckled softly. Normally he would have gotten a lot more amusement out of watching Donovan and Lin, but his heart was still racing at the possibility that Lin might have been pressured into marrying, and so he wasn't quite paying as much attention as he perhaps should have been.

"I see," he grinned.

Haradhel giggled. "Well, now that that's all dealt with ... Donovan and Kara, you have some new people to meet as well. Come on, you have to meet our granddaughter and her family."

Leyenda reached down to pick up Amalirahc, who woke up at the movement, and brought him over to meet Lin's parents.

"Hello," she said warmly, her brown eyes sparkling with excitement. "It's so great to finally meet you, I've been looking forward to it since I met Lin. I'm Leyenda, Arwen and Roydon's daughter." She motioned for Kelirahc to step closer. "And this is my husband, Kelirahc, and our son, Amalirahc."

Amalirahc stared at Kara and Donovan, his golden eyes wide as he took in the sight of the strangers. Then he pointed at Kara and said, "Yin!"

Kelirahc laughed.

Earendil was glad of the diversion. It gave him a chance to get his breath back, clear his head a bit. Hopefully without anyone noticing.

"Awww.. he's so cute," Kara couldn't help but coo, but to her all children were cute.

Though it took her a moment to realize that she was being mistaken for her daughter but that only made her laugh.

"It's good to finally meet you to, too," Kara looked up from where she was looking at Amalirahc, "We've heard so much about you, and it's wonderful to finally get to meet you and your family."

Neither Gaian were fazed too much about Kelirahc if at all, in fact he sort of reminded them of a drow.

"That's mother for you," Lin chuckled.

Leyenda grinned back at Kara. "We've been hoping to meet you as well," she told her. "We were always hearing stories from everyone, they all have such good things to say about you!"

Kelirahc was looking at Donovan, amused at how he and Lin interacted. But he always liked to watch the interaction between parents and their children, considering he had grown up without any parents.

He smiled and reached over to ruffle his son's hair. "We are very proud of our son," he smiled warmly at Kara. "He is our greatest joy."

Amalirahc giggled and grabbed his father's hand. "Adadadah!" he grinned, holding Kelirahc's hand to his head.

"Why don't we head on inside?" Kara suggested, "There's a lot to catch up on," she chuckled," As usual."

There was always a lot to catch up on even on their side of things.

"Will you be joining us?" she asked Lin and Earendil.

"I think Miyuki is tired of visiting for today," Lin murmured pointing to the little baby.

The said baby, since Earendil was far too distracted at the moment was trying to take swipes over at the butterflies gathered around her mother.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 02, 2010 7:30 pm

Earendil was indeed trying to keep the butterflies away from Miyuki, but it was starting to get a bit difficult, especially as he had only one hand. "I think it would be a good idea to go inside," he agreed, grabbing hold of both of Miyuki's hands finally to keep her from grabbing the flashy insects. "Then she can go on the floor and play with Amalirahc, too."

If Amalirahc was still interested in playing. He still looked a bit tired from his nap.

Lin giggled at him, poor Earendil it seemed that Miyuki was being a bit of a handful.

"Let's go then," Lin motioned for them to head indoors with her mother leading the way into the ranch house.

Meanwhile in the barracks Miyu was leading Toshiro up the steps to where she knew Aragost would be. It had been a long time since she visited, so it was wonderful to see him again.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 02, 2010 7:40 pm

Aragost was in his quarters, his window wide open, allowing the sun and a breeze into the room. He was sitting near the window, on the only chair in the room, while Haldia sat cross-legged on his bed. Haldia had been explaining to Aragost how their people had gotten where they were, and how they had come to look as they did. He was easy to talk to, and she found that she was enjoying her time with him.

Suddenly though, he seemed to tilt his head away from Haldia, towards the door. She stopped speaking and watched him carefully, wondering what was going on.

He simply smiled at her. "I have some other guests," he explained. He rose and moved to the door, opening it wide.

"Yami-san!" Miyu called out with glee as she let go of Toshiro's hand and hugged her long time friend.

Her wings fluttered happily, she was probably one of the highlights to her day really.

Beside her Toshiro stepped in and gave a small wave, besides having grown he hadn't changed much at all. He was still the quiet sort of guy with an acid tongue though he had the sense not to use it most of the time.

He seemed to be a bit sleepy, but that was because he and Miyu were experimenting on how much energy he could draw from her to cast magic. Quite frankly he thought it was troublesome and decided to let Miyu cast the magic, he would just bash people with a stick instead.

Aragost chuckled softly and hugged Miyu back. "Welcome back, Miyu," he said warmly. "And you, Toshiro. It has indeed been a long time since I have seen either of you."

He still technically wasn't seeing them, but that was beside the point.

Haldia tilted her head curiously. These people spoke the Common Tongue, and the girl had wings ... In the Ancient Tongue, she called out to Aragost, asking if they were relatives of Lin.

Aragost smiled and turned back towards Haldia. "Yes," he replied in the common tongue. "Haldia, this is Miyu, Lin's niece, and Toshiro, her brother." He turned back to the Gaians. "This is Haldia Hun'lyl, a Night Elf of the isle of Nauros. She came to our land with Lin."

Miyu jumped out of her skin when Haldia spoke which to anyone who knew Miyu, it wasn't a surprise at all really. She tried her best not to fidget, but ended up playing with her fingers instead.

"Mi...." she murmured, "It's nice to meet you...."

Twitch.. twitch.... she kept reminding herself that this was a friend of Yami-san and from the sounds of it her sister. It was okay, it was okay, so she was unlike any elf Miyu had seen but this was tame compared to Gaia.

Toshiro held back a sigh, Miyu was so much like her other father it was down right sad, because she had inherited her father's strong magic.

"Hey," Toshiro waved, "Like Miyu said, nice to meet you."
