It's just - men feel emotions just as strongly as women, right? I'm quite good at describing emotions, since I'm a very emotional person myself. So... I guess it comes across as poetic when I'm just trying to be accurate...? XD

Well, he is an elf...and they are a very poetic sort of people so I think it works great!
I think men do feel them as strongly as women, I think it just takes a certain sort of man that would feel them as poetically as you write them.
I love my husband. He is a man who is not afraid to be in touch with his feminine side, but even he has a hard time putting into words his emotions and it baffles me to no end.
He tells me that guys for the most part *show* you they love you rather than say it.

Well, I KNOW my boyfriend feels emotions very strongly. He's a complete softy, even though he'd never let anyone but me see it. That's not an exaggeration or a brag. =x He only lets me know when he cries, and he's generally quite affected by the words of others, just like me, because we both internalise them and take them to heart.
Unfortunately a lot of our recent problems have come from his frustration at his position in life. He feels the need to take out his anger on me, the closest person to him... There have been other reasons for the abuse, but right now that's the main one.
Sigh~~

That says a lot if he will show those sorts of emotions in front of you. I guess I knew I'd marry my husband when he cried in front of me the first time. I knew then that he was comfortable enough with me and knew I would comfort him.
It's rough though when they use you as an outlet for negative emotion, because they are the person who can hurt you most.

I'm pretty sensative to emotions myself so I know how it can be...I think it makes it even harder to deal with.
