Moving to stand in front of the cave again, he ginned at them all and flicked his tail. Hearing Ivan, he glanced at him and shook his head.
"Tut tut tut my impatient friend... It is not but one riddle but six. Each, so to speak, is unique to you. Your companions--" Cheshire looked at Roland and Journey and winked at them. "I do have a riddle or two to see if you are worthy to enter but you may help the others...though you knights better hope they don't lead you to the wrong answer! Now first, I have a little rhyme you see....It does no help for me. So listen closely for I'll only say it one time through. It is all your have as to your riddle's clue." Cheshire closed his eyes and con
"Fires climbing, burning bright,
Do you fear the dark of night?
Those with fear make haste; depart
Nothing waits for weak of heart
A man cannot enter here;
For a knightâs treasure is near
The sands of time do not wait
Enter now and face your fate..."
Cheshire began to spin around on his paws and then stopped, pointing directly at Naito.
"You first my purple-y friend! What builds up castles yet tears down mountains; what makes some blind yet helps others see?"
"Good luck Naito..." Atreyu said, turning the rhyme Cheshire had said over and over in his mind.
Kai remained silent, watching Cheshire and awaiting for his turn to come up.
"You can do it Naito!" He cheered on.

Rudolf became very confused at Cheshire's riddle. "Luck good Naito." He said trying to figure it out.
Roland sat down and began to think about the riddle. "Good luck Naito." He said thinking.

Naito listened hard and long to what Cheshire was telling him. He was a bit nervous since he had never heard that riddle before. "Builds up castles yet tears down mountains? Makes some blind yet helps others see?" Naito repeated out loud to himself. There were a lot of options for that. He looked around at the others hoping that he wouldn't let them down. After a bit of thinking of an answer he said one word. "Would it be sand?" He then sort of squinted since he was expecting to get angry faces at him.

Cheshire approached Naito and raised his paw like he was about to strike him and then began to laugh.
"Lucky you are, for your guess was correct... The next will be much harder I suspect. You may enter Sir knight but do not go into further into the cave."Cheshire turned back to the others and wagged his tail. "Round and round and round I go. Where I stop, nobody knows!" Cheshire began to spin around and then stopped facing Roland. "Ah.. it is your turn I believe. What is this--Never ahead, ever behind, Yet flying swiftly past; For a child I last forever, For adults I'm gone too fast."
Atreyu and Kai: *stare at Roland in case he needs help*

Naito was a bit taken back when he saw that Cheshire raise his paw. He thought for a moment he was going to strike him for guessing wrong, but breathed a big sigh of relief when he realised he got it right. "Yeah...thanks." He then went towards the enterance of the cave and waited for the others. "Good luck Roland! I know you can do it! Also good luck to the rest of you!"

Rudolf smiled as Naito got the answer right. "Go way too." He cheered, "Roland go!"
Roland looked up at Cheshire then back down. He thought about the riddle for several minutes. "For a child I last forever, for adults I'm gone too fast. Hm this is an excellent riddle." He said before smiling, "The answer is Childhood since when your a child you have forever until you grow up and when your an adult you wish you had it back."

Cheshire stared at Roland for a moment and then nodded his head.
"You may enter but do not go into further into the cave."Cheshire turned back to the others and wagged his tail. "Round and round and round I go. Where I stop, nobody knows!" Cheshire began to spin around and then stopped facing Journey. He approached her and sat down. "You've been very silent this whole time but ah.. it is your turn I believe -- No sooner spoken than broken. What is it?."

Roland walked past Cheshire and sat down near the cave's entrance. "Good luck Journey." He called.
Rudolf sighed when he was pasted. "Luck good Journey." He said with a faint smile.

Journey smiled as the others answered their riddles. Anxiously awaiting the next one, her breath caught when the male headed for her. "Err-" She looked at the others, trying to gain confidence from their wishes of luck.
She frowned in concentration. 'No sooner spoken than broken. Well, spoken could be words, but how do you break words?' She looked around nervously again, wishing one of the others would break the si- "Blimey! What's no sooner spoken than broken is silence!"

Cheshire barked at Journey and walked towards her. He stared at her for a moment and then shook his head 'no'.
"Correct! You may enter and wait with the others."Cheshire turned back to the others and wagged his tail. The numbers were thinning out and he was amazed that they were getting his riddles. He was really going to enjoy these knights it seemed. "Round and round and round I go. Where I stop, nobody knows!" Cheshire began to spin around and then stopped facing Ivan. "Sir knight step forward -- If you break me, I'll not stop working. If you can touch me, my work is done. If you lose me, you must find me with a ring soon after. What am I?"

Roland smiled at Journey, happy she had gotten the riddle right. His grin grew at this new one. It was a good riddle and one he knew.
Roland looked at Ivan and gulped. He couldn't figure out this one and was glad that he didn't have to answer. "Luck." He whispered.
