"Then either stop before we're joined at the hip or accept it when we reach that point..." Nathan murmured, nuzzling Mao's chest as he was pulled closer.
"I can, if you want me to - and promise not to be scary to the children... My Dear Nurse Grumpy." He winked, rubbing his nose against Mao's with a wink.
"You know, I was very grumpy myself when I left your place..."

Mao nodded in agreement. "I'll try not to scare them as much," he replied in a teasing tone. "As for the joined at the hip thing, I guess I don't mind as long as I don't have to compete with anyone else later on."

Nathan raised an eyebrow. "I suppose I can deal with 'as much', though I do feel sorry for them..." he pecked Mao's cheek with a smile. "As if I'm brave enough to bear that pain - yanking away would kill were we fused together!" he shuddered.

Mao chuckled. "I'd make sure I feel all the pain. I still wouldn't want you getting hurt," he replied.

Nathan huffed and let go to place his hands on his hips in indignation. "And what, exactly, makes you think I would allow you to take my pain, when I don't want you hurt either?!" he demanded.

"Hmmph. I won't hurt you like that, and if it feels like I'm tugging a little away then you BETTER wait for an explanation before trying to 'help' with the separation!" Nathan demanded, voice soft as he crawled back onto the bed to cuddle Mao, a small yawn escaping him.

"Also, no master or pet stuff: we're equals, a-alri-ght..." he yawned, mumbling and curling into Mao's side for warmth and comfort. Then his hands encircled his boyfriend. "To...make sure... we wake together..." he muttered, eyes already closed.
"Sorry if... I end up... wrapped around you.."

Mao closed his eyes and breathed in deeply again. "I don't mind at all," he replied before beginning to fall asleep.

Nathan woke feeling very warm, his legs brushing someone else's. His eyes flew open when he realised it hadn't been that much of a movement, thus the person must be a whole lot closer than was respectable!
His heart beat rapidly, then began to calm when he realised it was Mao. He placed the lightest kiss possible to the other man's throat - the sole bit of naked skin he could reach - and settled back into the bed contentedly to watch the Demon sleep. He did not attempt to untangle their legs.

Mao opened his eyes as he felt the angel's kiss. "That was a nice change of pace," Mao told him, still half asleep.

"Please do stay asleep if you want to: I love watching you, since you look so darn cute!" Nathan told him with a smile, nuzzling Mao's chest - it was becoming a delightful habit.

"No, that's alright," Mao replied. "I don't get any sleep once I wake up." He kissed Nathan gently and gave him a sweet smile.
