Reaper was quiet for a moment. Trying to think of how to explain it. He really didn't think it was nessessary to...
"The scientists my Father funded could do quite a bit to people. Wasn't quite mind control, but they played enough with my head that it could have been. I really didn't have a choice but to do as I was told." he replied.

Cat was quiet for another long moment. "Oh." Experimentation had been bad enough, but mind control? What would that even be like? To watch your own hands just sort of... disobeyed you? It was just too eerie to consider. "I'm sorry," she added after a second, absently brushing a wayward strand of white blond away from her face, "I should stop asking you so many questions. If I bring up emotional trauma, you might go completely crazy and kill me with... your crazy hoodoo voodoo that you do." Too much time around Spider. The thought made her smirk in spite of herself.

"Daddy dearest being one of them?" she suggested wryly, "Anyway, that's nice to hear, seeing as there's not much else to do... aside from trying to learn latin," she added, shooting a dirty look at thick book on the coffee table.

"I think he's hiding all the fun stuff somewhere," Cat said, her tone overly sage, "Like a fun stash, so that everyone will think that he's this noble scholar. Although," she added, looking a little crestfallen, "He apparently hasn't had a girlfriend since 1959. I mean... He's immortal, but still. So..." She looked at the book. "Uck." Frustrated, she let her head fall back against the headrest of the armchair.

"That's what I've heard," Cat replied, shrugging, "It kind of makes sense; he's devoted himself to the pursuit of knowledge, and all that." She rolled her eyes. "The last girlfriend he had was apparently the Sorceress Supreme for another dimension... or some such nonsense. Maybe he just never got over her." Actually, that sort of made her feel sorry for him.

Reaper smirked slightly and looked around. That did make sence he supposed. Book worm, completely busy, another girl on his mind...who knows.

Shifting slightly, Cat folded her arms over one armrest, then rested her chin on top of her arms. Soooooo dull. Couldn't he have board games? They were... educational...? ... Oh, and what had that younger Spider been about, anyway? He'd talked like the same person, but... Well, she'd just have to remember to ask.
As she thought, her eyelids slipped a little lower... So bored.

Reaper sighed deeply as he looked around. He was getting rather tired of simply sitting around. His eyes soon fell upon the jar that held X's...whatever inside of it. After a moment, he looked away from it. Ugh. What to do now? He no longer felt he needed food...
He shifted a bit again, and heard paper crunch beside him. He moved and glanced down, finding the picture Rosie had given him. A small smile slipped across his face as he pulled it out and looked at it.

Cat watched him for a second, then abruptly got to her feet with a kind of fluidity that just wasn't natural. "That's it." Without another word, she stalked out of the living room, down the hallway, up the flight of stairs, and into the bedroom, where she shut the door. She was going to get dressed, and then she was going to leave. Just walk out. The stupid demon was probably... gone. Or... Busy. Or... distracted?

Reaper glanced up from the paper and watched her leave. He took another look down at the picture, then sighed and folded the paper up, slippping it into his pocket.

Reaper glanced over at the door a moment, then groaned a bit as he sat back up. The man who had come with the woman before was back. Well, she'd be happy to hear that at least someone had come back. After cracking his back, Reaper started for the door to open it for him. It was something to do after all.
"Password." Reaper said once he reached the door.
