"She should be alright." Alex replied. Honestly...she didn't feel like she'd loose any sleep if the thing did get hurt. That robot DID try to kill her after all. "If we hear stuff exploding, then it's safe to say she needs help."
Then Alex paused a moment and blinked. "Secret identity? Are you a hero or...something?" She didn't have a costume, and she didn't know who to say she was. Was she new then?

Mannheim drove away from the scene, accessing the sanction list at the same time. Driving down an empty street, the German-born assassin found another target close to his location -- Toni Monetti a.k.a. Argent. Appearently, the former adventurer settled down in this city, and Mannheim drove to her last known address...

Steel stopped and stared as the vehicle drove down the street and out of sight. Staring for a beat longer...well, glare was more like it, she kicked the pavement under her hard enough to break a chunk of it loose.
Wonderful. Now what was she supposed to do? She wasn't used to being out in the "real world" like this. She didn't even think that the thing he was in could do that. And she'd BEEN in one of those things. ERG. Now she REALLY wanted to break something.
She glanced back down the street towards where Alex was, then back where the man had driven. She could still track him. That would be easy with her programing. But...she wasn't as fast as a vehicle, and she had no idea just where he was going. She could try to get higher and just watch him from a building. But still...wouldn't be able to make it to him in time.
What to do...

Mannheim didn't drive very far to the appartment complex andstopped the car. Then calmly, the assassin exited the vehicle and walked toward the front door of the complex.

A little to Steel's surprise, the car didn't go nearly as far as the one she had taken a ride in did. The vision from her programing automatically flipped on again, informing her that her target was still within running distance, and he was moving inside of of the buildings.
NOT wanting the man to get back into the car, and very possibly losing him, Steel hurried down the street towards the building as quickly as she could. She didn't want him to get away, or do something else. This was obviously a bad guy, and she wanted to catch him. Do something. Even if all it did was allow her to vent her current frustrations..

Mannheim entered the building, heading straight to the security office. As the officer in the office stood to see what the well dressed man wanted... Mannheim shot him twice. As the security guard fell dead, the assassin disabled the security cameras and pulled the tape from the recorder. Then, he looked through the apartment listing, he found Monetti's apartment number.
Then, Mannheim pulled the dead guard into a closet and closed it and headed for the stairwell.

The man had entered the building by the time Steel was close enough to see what kind of place he had entered. Didn't do her much good. She had no idea what a 'hotel' was. Nearly ripping the doors off their hinges as she hurried inside the building, she stopped again to look around. No one...
She flipped through her programs, coming to a nice combination that allowed her to see through the walls, and immediately find the man she was looking for. He was heading up the stairs.
Steel bolted again, careful to keep her sensors locked on her target. She wanted to catch him. She didn't know what she was going to do exactly when she caught him, but she was going to catch him. Tackle him maybe? Grab him and try to squeeze him faster than she did that clown? Yeah, that sounded good. Hopefully this guy wouldn't realize that she could still feel pain. Hm. Maybe knocking him down would be better. Pin him to the ground and...um...just wing it.
She made it to the stairwell, and began running up them. Hitting every other step. She'd only done so for one flight, then just decided to try and jump half of them to try and make it quicker. She was getting closer to her target.

Mannheim approached Monetti's door and pulled out his silenced gun. He knocked on the door and aimed his gun directly in front of the peephole, waiting for a shadow to cover the tiny light....

By the time Steel had made it to the floor and rounded the corner, the man had his weapon pointed at a door. If Steel hadn't had such a sense of urgency and the need to hit something...she probably would have stopped and stared. The guy was pointing a weapon at a door. An intimate object. What for? That wasn't going to kill anything. At least not that she knew of. Must have been someone on the other side. Would a simple bullet go through a door like that though?
Didn't matter. She didn't have time to think of any of that. Her target was there. Right there. And he was about to strike.
Steel bent down, the gears tightening inside her artificial legs, and sprung forward in an attempt to tackle the man to the ground.

The motion caught Mannheim's attention, as he turned toward his attacker who had sprung at him. Without having enough time to aim his pistol at Steel, the assassin fell into a backwards roll -- kicking the launched super over his head. Mannheim spining on his back, heused a kippup to instantly hop into a standing position with his pistol up.

He dodged it. Worse, it caught her by surprise. The man kicked Steel, and she found herself lying on her back a few feet down the hallway from him. Steel twisted and flipped herself around so that she was now in a crouching position.
The man had a gun drawn again. Well...those things bounced off of her easily enough when Joker shot her before. Hurt...but nothing damaging.
With that, she sprung again.

Mannheim fired a couple of quick shots... which bounced off of Steel's body, Wunderbar....
The assassin blocked Steel lunge and countered with an attempt at a throat strike.

The most the man received from that blow was a wince and grimace. No blood, and no crunch. Though, her throat did seem to be abnormally hard.
Steel tried to grab the man's wrist that he'd used to try and hurt her neck. A surprisingly tight vice-grip should she manage to grab him.

The man saw the move coming, and make a block that seemed to move his arm around his head. The next thing that Steel knew, Mannheim slipped a thin steel cord around her neck and began to constrict the cord.

Steel's eyes widened and she winced again. Pain receptors were flaring in her neck again...but luckily, she had absolutely no need to breathe. If anything, she was at risk of the cord cutting through some of the outer layers that made up her "flesh", revealing the silver plates under it.
Steel tried to latch onto the cord, and slam the man into the closest wall. Now she was really getting mad. If he kept dodging her attacks, she was all for getting out her electric saber again. Or better yet, just letting some of her own energy flow over her outer shell when he grabbed her again.
