Lore chuckled a bit, "I do admit it seems these days I hug more the babies than you. I promise to give you more of a hug once the babies are born."

He grinned at her before focusing on her feet again, but he kept glancing up.

"Babies?" Elnara laughed. "You really think it's going to be more than one?"

She smiled and rubbed her abdomen. "You know, I think you might be right," she murmured softly. "I mean, I know it's perfectly natural to be big ... but I'm sure I'm bigger than most women at full term, and I've still got weeks left to go."

There was a knock at the door just then, and the door opened and a voice called in, "Hello ... I'm coming in ..."

It was Serenity's voice, and only a moment later, Serenity herself appeared around the corner, bright and cheerful as ever.

Lore was about to also add that he was a bit suspicious with the fact the 'baby' was very active.. two could easily explained the over activeness of the child. Besides what else could he be hugging at this point? He chuckled as he looked up to see Serenity come in.

"Glad you could make it," Lore smiled up at her, "Take a seat I don't think we'll be going anywhere."

Serenity grinned and moved to join them, sitting on the table in the middle of the room so that she could sit near both of them but wouldn't be in the way.

"You seem to be doing all right," she smiled at both of them. "How are you feeling, Elnara?"

Elnara smiled weakly. "Tired," she replied immediately, "and big. Did you ever have it this bad? I don't recall you ever being stuck in bedrest ... you were always so active ..."

She sighed, then smiled again. "But Lore's been amazing. Honestly, I don't know where I'd be without him." She looked down at him, her eyes shining with love.

"I do what I can do," Lore replied.

He smiled softly as he reached out to rub the bottom of her stomach which wasn't hard seeing how large it was.

"Since I'm not the one with pressure on my feet."

Serenity smiled and leaned forward slightly.

"Well, I was like this for two pregnancies, actually," she smiled. "With Ruel and Riordan, and with Gion ... you would have been too young to remember that time, though."

She reached forward and brushed Elnara's hair away from her face. "You'll be just fine, don't worry."

Elnara giggled softly as Lore rubbed the underside of her large belly, then reached down to put her hand over his.

"Lore thinks it's twins," she smiled at her mother. "I don't know ... I guess if I think about it it makes sense ... because if it's just one baby it would be one huge baby."

She bit her lip and looked down at Lore, her eyes filled once more with excitement. "We're going to have to think of more names," she giggled - though they would have still had to think of more names anyways, since they had only thought of one boy's name and no girls' names yet.

"Well... I had also considered it for the reason why the baby seems to not move only for two or three hours out of a whole day," Lore spoke up.

Well that and he had been trying to hear for more than one heartbeat... he was sure he heard an echo... but he wasn't quite sure.

"He was still trying very hard to think of good girl names."

Serenity laughed.

"Trust me," she grinned at Lore, "with nothing else to do all day and all night but grow ... babies are active a lot more than you might expect. Now, if it's nonstop, then maybe - but really it's hard to tell until you actually give birth. We'll find out then ... and it won't be long now."

She winked at Elnara. "Unborn babies are just like children ... they don't always follow the rules."

"Wonderful," Elnara sighed. "I had hoped to wait at least until he or she ... or they ... could walk and talk before having to deal with rebellions."

Then she laughed again. "But I can't deny that I'm looking forward to every second of it," she smiled warmly.

"Excited to see them, excited to tell everyone back home," Lore chuckled.

He was really excited, also to just see the child. Rubbing soles a bit more he tilted his head at Serenity.

"How did you manage to sleep?"

Wondering if Serenity had any tips.

Serenity looked thoughtful as she leaned back and tried to remember.

"Keep in mind," she murmured, "this was nearly seventy years ago for me ... my memory is good, but not quite that good. I ... recall long hot baths just before going to bed ... but we did live in the desert, which made it a bit easier ... Garrick ... Beren would always massage my legs, my back ... but really, the only thing was to sleep when I could. Grab a few hours here, a few minutes there ... once the baby's born, you'll be able to sleep better, because even if you wake up in the middle of the night, you can still sleep when they do."

She smiled warmly. "Just hold on ... that's all I can say."

"Seventy years," Elnara murmured. "I knew that a lot of time had passed, but I hadn't really ... really thought about it ..."

She didn't know what else to say. She looked forward to the day when she could sleep even just a little bit more ... she just hoped she could be patient with everyone, and not drive them mad.
