east siiiieeeeeede
and the whole internet anonymity thing, i mean, yeah it's a joke insofar as people can find out your real name if they try, but i figure people can choose what they want to be called. if they choose something that isn't their real name, then that's what i assume they prefer in this context. maybe in other contexts they want to be called something else, and that's what i'd use there. i just want to make sure i'm doing what the owner of the name in question prefers, so whatever they say goes, you know? it's their name so they make the rules, and those rules might be different for everybody.

Yeah, I don't think anybody who is being called by their real name gives a damn. I think most people know mine, but don't use it. I won't say it's because I don't like it, because then people will do it just to piss me off. I'll say it's because it doesn't suit me at all. biggrin

Oh, this makes a fun guessing game.. what name does suit you???
I always saw myself with a more traditional name like Helen, Evelyn or something with a lot of E's. Well, my mom is more of a free spirit so she said to hell with tradition I'll give her a Hebrew name even if I'm the furthest thing from Judaism. I hate baby name books. cry

My parents just went with what was popular the year I was born. *shrug*
Blegh, the keys on my phone are cracked, and if I want to replace it I've got like 15 days 'til the manufacturer's warranty is up on it. D: I'm not sure if I want to, though, 'cause I'm lazy. Bah.
...do I want to watch Batman Begins or Dark Knight? Hmm...

Popular name of the year, and also named after my mom's uncle. The latter of which I don't mind but I hate having such a common name(as I've mentioned many times before).
Pyre that's because it doesn't, not to say it's a bad name but a different name would fit you far better.
Jenny: Watch both of them, if you're only going to watch one do as Aivi said and watch the Dark Knight, it's far better than the first. >3

Popular name of the 80's. And both my mom and maternal grandmother have the syllable "lin" in their names, although my mom claims she didn't realize that when she named me. Still, it could be worse. She DID want to name me Star. The only good thing my paternal grandmother ever did for me was tell her that was a horse's name. I always wanted to be named Jade... A coworker of my dad's actually had a dream about me before I was born and said that's what they should name me. Weird how that worked...

AirisMagik I only know one Lindsay ... she's very nice. You could always introduce yourself as Jade to new people. ;D There were five other Lindsay's (and various bastardizations of the spelling) in my grade in elementary. They all sucked. And if I did that, I'd keep wondering who the ******** Jade was. I'm too used to it, now, like it or not.

The only good part is The Joker, and that's not enough to save the crap plot and mediocre acting, so I don't understand it when people are like, "omg dark knight changed my life" Did we see different movies? UHMMM. I'm so excited to trespass tomorrow, for serious.

I think Lindsay is a beautiful name, but holy s**t Jade is the PERFECT name for you. ...My middle name means jade, but it's not pretty-sounding. Dx

UHMMM. I'm so excited to trespass tomorrow, for serious. I enjoyed the Dark Knight immensely, as anything but a Batman movie. As a movie on its own it's a wonderful piece of cinema and I'd disagree about the performances of most of the cast. As a Batman movie, it's...well it's just not a Batman movie. I think my friend Linda said it best when she called it Terrorist Porn. Back on the name topic though, I hated my name growing up. Rocky jokes constantly gets really old. Thankfully Rocky's more or less faded from most memories and celebrities with the name have moved to the foreground.
