"Very well," I said to Dusk, "as soon as your friend gets off of me."

My eyes slowly peeled open. "Hello? What's going on?" I turned my head, seeing everyone in the cave with slightly blurred vision. "Dusk?" I coughed a little. "Asher?" I tried to get up. "Alexia, why are you on Asher? Please, get off him Miss Alexia, he came back to help." I coughed hard now, hacking on the dirt my face was pressed against.

"Here, let me help you." Lillith said gently as she carefully helped the girl to stand. "Dawn... Asher was the one that attacked the safe house..." she whispered to her.

I shook my head, a dizzy feeling rattling inside. "No, Lillith. Bad men burned it." I coughed hard, sending myself back on my knees. What was going on? Alexia still layed on top of Asher. I tried getting up, but failed the attempt, falling once again. "Asher," I said as the room begun to spun. I army cralled closer to where they were.

I looked toward Dawn, and then to Dusk. "You wouldn't kill the love of your own sister." I smiled in a smug manner and gently put the dagger back in my pocket. My words were the weapon now, and by Dusk's face I knew that they hurt her far more than any knife could.

"Don't you dare speak of her in that matter," I said as I supported her until she was set down by Alphonse once more. "Stay here, okay? No matter what don't follow me, I'll be back soon. I promise," I moved a strand of hair from her face and tucked it neatly behind her ear before turning to Alphonse. "Please watch her." I stood up and walked back over to Al and Asher awaiting her release.

I squirmed in his arms. "Asher!" I yelped, coughing again. "No, please, don't hurt him, Dusk!" I was in a daze, my eyes looked this way and that at everyone.

"Think fast," I said abruptly, pushing Al's body off mine and leaping up at just the right moment. At that exact moment my hand held the dagger, ready to fight off the many that I expected to spring upon me. "Don't do anything you are going to regret." I looked to Dawn, who squirmed in the man's arms. "Hey Dawn, come on, come with me, Dawn, come on!" I motioned to her like I would a dog, trying to get her attention in the state she was currently in. "It's Asher, Dawn, come on,"

"Dawn, He is a traitor, Don't Listen!" Lexi snarled and leapt back at him. She grabbed the wrist that held the knife and torked it to an ungodly angle. "Go to hell.": She snapped and used her free hand to threw a knock out blow into the side of his face. She continued to beat the crap out of him, But always kept her hand on the daggers hand. "You are nothing more than a monster, A worthless, Corrupt Worm."

I looked at Dawn, the way I always had when she knew she had to trust my word. "Dawn. Don't listen to him, stay where you are. He isn't what you think he is. I love you Dawn, more than this waste of a life ever would, you have to listen to me." I looked back to Asher, "If you know what's best you'll shut the hell up and follow me." I untangled Al's hand from his wrist, knocking the dagger out in the process. I snatched his other wrist and began to drag him away whether he liked it or not.

Al would not stand for him living. She snatched back the man, Forcible sending the girl tumbling as she did. "You will not get off so easy." She snarled, and put her hands on the man's collar, lifting him up into the air before throwing him into the wall and tackling him, trying to break his neck.

Alphonse held Dawn to him, trying to shield her eyes from the violence before them. She was no younger than his son, really. Perhaps it was an overprotective action. But he did not at all enjoy the thought of her watching it. "Why don't we take a walk, hmn? You do not want to stay and watch this."

I gasped and swalled the tears. "Plea..ea...ease," I moaned, thankful that his hand hid me from this. "Yes," I said, barely able to understand why I so needed to be away from the scene.

I kicked Alexia out, returning into conciousness, my body bedraggled. "Dusk would like to ask me questions, madam, then kill me." I got up and let myself be dragged by Dusk once again. I looked back only to see Dawn, who lay in the man's arms, her eyes hidden from me. I looked to the others and my feeling of deep emotion left me, as if none of them could supply happiness to me like she could. "Dusk, don't you think your sister might come with us? She may have some questions to ask to, and I may have some for her." I winked and smiled smugly at Dusk.

Alphonse ignored Asher and called out to his son. "Mallory! Come join us for a stroll, mon fils. It will be good for us." He ushered Dawn down the tunnel, carefully keeping track of the way they walked. It would not do at all for him to get them lost.

Mallory blinked at the sound of his father's voice, surprised by his jovial nature. He shook his head, then scrambled through the hole. He took one glance toward Alexia, Dusk and Asher, but decided he did not really want to see what might be going on there. He looked straight ahead toward his father and hurried after him.

The blood rushed back into my head as we walked. "Alphonse?" I said softly, "Will they kill him? I don't want him to die, I can't let him die." I coughed a little.

"No, I don't. She can't be by you right now." I continued walking until when I looked back Al was the size of a doll. Far enough for her not to hear our conversation, but close enough to hear my scream if anything went wrong. I pushed Asher back so that he now sat down across from me. I took a seat across from him, still holding my dagger in one hand flipping it through my fingers. My gaze moved across him until our eyes met. "We should set some rules to abide by." My face's expression changed serious as the words were spoke. "I don't kill you, and you don't kill me. At least while we're over here. Understand?"

"I imagine that depends entirely on what he has to say for himself. I will be honest, he does not do well for himself going out of his way to anger Mademoiselle Alexia. She cares greatly for those in her charge and the boy betrayed her trust." Honestly, Alphonse felt fairly certain that Asher would be killed. Would he not want the same if Mallory had been hurt due to Asher's betrayal?

"Zut alors, this ridiculous fighting will make savages of us all. If I ever see the outside of this God forsaken tunnel, I swear I will leave this city." Mallory frowned and sighed. Why were they even here to begin with? Nothing good had ever come of this place for them. No, that was not true... he had met good people here. And he had fallen in love. But there was no way he could live long enough to keep his promise in this... pit of barbarism.

Alphonse said nothing in response to Mallory. Perhaps the boy was right. But would it really be safer for them elsewhere?

Lillith said nothing as she walked to the hole she had made and stood there. She watched both groups with her steak knife clutched firmly in hand just in case.
