People call me a 'half blood' or a 'mud blood' because I am not from a prominent line as they are. I just laugh at their stupidity for they have failed to realize that it is not blood that makes the witch...
Erkamina Katsume Mina sighed but shook her head. "Honestly I don't mind dancing but I have nothing to wear." She said simply as she pointed to her uniform. "Pretty much all I brought is school robes and uniforms. I don't think I actually own a gown of any kind..." She then put a finger to her chin. "I know of some good shops that sell dresses but I don't have any money either. Well, not wizard money anyway. All my savings from allowances is in Muggle dollars." She said this with a grumble, putting a hand on her hip in a defiant pose. "But I guess I'll have to write mom and have her take a look... I'll probably be stuck with Headmaster poop-head... I mean Snape... For the next few days, even with mom's intervention..." At this she scoffed lightly, pouting a bit. "I tell ya that if I was a Death Eater's kid it would have just been research... I guess that's..." She froze as she remembered what Reven had told her and the fact that he'd gotten a chew session just as much as she had. "The point is that if we had a defence teacher that was worth their salt this wouldn't be necessary. I heard some pretty nasty rumors floating around the dorms..." Blood means nothing. Magic does not come from blood but from something much more meaningful, the heart.

Erkamina Katsume Mina looked shocked at Storm's offer "You'd do that for me? You are truly kind." She bowed lightly before smirking. "You know, detention's not the worst thing Snape could do so I don't want you going out of your way." She fiddled with her hair before blowing her bangs out of her face. "If you need help with anything I'd be more than happy to try." Blood means nothing. Magic does not come from blood but from something much more meaningful, the heart.

A week after the death eater's attack, Miya was still in the hospital wing helping patients. She had recieved a lot of practice and could now mend bones almost as fast as Madam Pomfrey but it was sad work and she would have rather the attack never happened. For the last week, she had been bandaging wounds, serving food to the patients who had to stay over night, making sure said patients rested, and making potions with her sister. She didn't mind helping out. It wasn't like she was very social since last year...At this thought, Miya grew quiet and solemn. It had been months but she still couldn't face her friends. They reminded her too much of the friends she lost last year. The one's she couldn't help protect.
Miya tried to push these thoughts into the back of her mind, where they belonged. 'What's done is done.' She quoted the muggle playwright and she went back to the drought she was making. This action brought up another worrying question, 'Where's Melody? She was supposed to get the ingredients and come right back...'
Melody was laying sprawled out on the out-skirts of the forest. She laid on the soft, green grass under a tall tree. It was peaceful and she was cloud-gazing. Melody reflected on the current events at Hogwarts. She would have never believe her sister's stories until the deatheater's invasion. It had definately been a wake-up call to believe her sister. She remembered little of that night, except that a dark figure had pointed its wand at her on her way to the common room and she woke up in the hospital wing the next morning. Since that night, Miya had hardly let Melody out of her sight. Melody had finally been able to slip away on the pretense of getting ingredients for a potion. She gazed up at the sky in hopes of a few more minutes out of that room before her sister came to drag her away.

Erkamina Katsume Mina nodded softly, grinning like a cheshire cat that had just gotten a mouse. "Definately. I know this castle well enough from mother's stories to know the secrets. Or at least enough not to get into trouble again." The Slytherin side of her was more than loving skirting around the rules but the logical side of her was sneaking in a bit of regulation into her thoughts but she shoved them into a back-most corridor of her mind. She smirked again, this time less conspicously than the wild grin from before. It was almost forced. She felt a ton heavier all the sudden. "Well, tomorrow it is... For now I should get some rest. Merlin knows what the headmaster's got up his sleeves..." Blood means nothing. Magic does not come from blood but from something much more meaningful, the heart.

Melody contimplated returning to her sister, but didn't find the prospect of a lecture to rival their mother's as a pleasant experiance. So she decided against it. She would see Miya soon enough anyway. Melody was, however, bored of sitting, so she stood up and began to walk back to the castle. She fittled with her wand in her boredom, practicing the new wand movement she had recently learned for a levitation spell. Before she knew it, Melody was wondering the corridors with her head in the clouds and her wand in her hand. Not the safest combination...

Erkamina Katsume Mina yawned slightly before changing out of her uniform and into a bed robe she'd found in her trunk. It was an emerald color with a small note folded into it. She read it aloud. "Next time, try being a bit more sneaky with your 'research'. I can't get you out of trouble with this Headmaster quite as easily as I could have with the one from last year, he was more understanding. Somehow a friend has become an asset so don't forget to use this to advance your goal. If you truly want to be a..." She stopped, as the rest of the sentence revealed her positon, her goal: 'Resistance member some day.' She sighed and read the rest of the note silently. "Then you're going to have to keep your friends close but your enemies closer. Don't forget what I told you about trust... Mom" She smirked and folded the letter in half again before placing it in her trunk under her uniform. She then placed three books directly on top of her her uniform so that if anyone tampered with them she'd know. She then locked the trunk and settled into bed. Blood means nothing. Some how, Melody arrived at the Ravenclaw common room without damaging anyone or anything. I guess there's a first time for everything, She thought to herself as she crossed the threshold into the common room. She was greeted by the familiar yapping of a disgruntled crup bounding towards her. "Hey Max." She smiled, patting the fur ball on his head to calm him down. Melody collapsed on an armchair near the fire, where Max jumped on her lap to join her. It was quiet and peaceful, except for the initial groans when Max yapped at Melody, but they had died out and the owners had fallen back asleep.
Her eyes wondered up the stairs to the girls dormitories. She wondered if her sister was there yet. Melody sat for awhile stroking Max's soft fur, eventually was forced by sleep deprivation to bed. Melody walked up the stairway with Max at her heels. She changed into her pajamas, slipped into bed, and then quickly into a deep slumber with Max cuddled up next to her.
Miya had returned to the common room earlier. She had taken Max outside for a bit and had been studying for a history test for the next morning, when a sudden drowsiness overtook her. She would get those from time to time, probably due to her long hours in the hospital wing. She had already fallen asleep when her sister entered the common room.

((ok..considering no one has posted in a while, I think we should time-skip to the next morning. If anyone has any objections I'll change my post. But for now...))
Miya awoke early the next morning to a cold nose nudging her face and a nervous whimpering in her ear. "Well, good morning to you too, Max." Miya muttered, rubbing her eyes into focus. The room was dark, as she was the first one up. It was something she was used to. She hadn't gotten a good sleep-until-you-can't-anymore sleep ever since Max arrived for her last year. It wasn't something she particularly resented but it wasn't the most fun on the weekends. Miya heaved a sigh and sat up in her bed, Max wagging his tail at her. Miya knew what he was waiting for. She rolled her eyes and opened her trunk, pulling out a tin bowl. She dropped the bowl next to her bed and waved her wand at it. Magically, Max's breakfast appeared. The crup jumped off the bed and instantly goppled the contents of the bowl.
When Max was eating his breakfast, Miya was getting dressed to get hers. She pulled her long hair back into a low ponytail, grabbed her books, wand and ingrediants, and made her way out of the dorm room, leaving her classmates to enjoy their dreamland for a few more minutes. Max followed at Miya's heels and together they walked out of the Ravenclaw common rooms and towards the great hall. Miya hesitated only once, at the first year's room, near the bottom of the stairs. She longed to barge in, pull her little sister out of bed with the jaws of life and yell her for leaving, but Max's whimpers of excitement stalled her. She would see her sister soon enough, she reasoned. And when I do, she's going to be making so many boringly basic potions, Snape'll seem nice. She grinned and continued on her way.

Amelia awoke from a nice night's sleep and got ready for another horrid day of school... She walked down to the common room and sighed. Ameila got a donut and a cup of mint tea and flopped down on a sofa...

((Thank you. ^^))
Miya quietly sat down at the Ravenclaw table, while Max made himself comfortable underneath the table. Miya had entered the Great Hall with some other early risers, who had split off to their respective tables and group of friends. Miya sat alone, except for Max, and ate her breakfast in silence, absent-mindedly passing down bits of sausage to Max now and again. Miya wasn't really focused on the breakfast in front of her though. She was still studying for the history test she had first period.
Melody had been woken up from her slumber in the middle of the night by a certain crup. Max had scratched at the bedroom door, yipping and harassing Melody and the other first-year girls until Melody opened the door and let Max into the fifth year's room with Miya. She had closed the door grumpily without caring to check if Max would harass them either.
After that, Melody had had a restless sleep. She fell in and out of sleep until finally, frustrated, Melody heard some of the others stir and decided to head down to breakfast. Melody got dressed and grabbed her wand and books. She meandered out of the Ravenclaw common room and slowly made her way to the great hall for, hopefully, a drink that would wake her up.

Erkamina Katsume Mina woke the next morning to the sounds of everyone else coming in and out of the First Year rooms. She grumbled and stared at one of the culprits before forcing herself up. She grabbed her uniform and quickly changed into it before grabbing one of the books from her trunk and locking it again. She then strutted out of the room and into the common room, the silver and green greeting her but the room was silent. She then walked out of the common room and towards the Great Hall. From the dungeons, it was a short trip but from any other common room it would probably have been longer. She entered the door to see a crup and its owner at Ravenclaw's table but ignoring the presence of the beast. She knew that pets were common and chose not to notice that the owner was feeding the thing sausage. She took her own seat and ate a silent meal, looking up every now and again in hopes of being spoken to but this was just her own wishes seeing as most of Slytherin was still asleep, judging by the absence of anyone at the table. Most of the early risers were Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff with a few Gryffindors also wanting to get a fresh start. But her own house mates were usually into rising late and rushing to class. She sighed heavily as she looked at the headmaster. Something wasn't quite right here... "Hmph, it's nothing. He's a..." She stopped as said headmaster tracked her speech and looked at her directly. "He's just trying to be fair..." She corrected to herself, trying to seem as if she understood the whole thing. But even with Storm's involvement it wasn't fair. Any other person caught in the Restricted section would probably be asked to explain. But with as many Death Eater's kids that were in Hogwarts this year it was impossible for her to really make friends as a Half-Blood. She growled in her throat and stared down at the remains of her breakfast and picked at the eggs with a tine of her fork, suddenly without an appetite. Blood means nothing. Magic does not come from blood but from something much more meaningful, the heart.
