Caleb took another glance to make sure she was paying attention. He quickly went back to his desk and got took a packet about 4 or 5 sheets thick and gave it to her. "First exam, you have the periodic table of elements and the alchemical table of elements to use. I hope you passed a basic physics class before you entered this one. Remember that atoms either give away or accept protons in their outer most shell."

She put away her papers, and then took about ten minutes to finish it.

Caleb walked over to her once again and picked up the paper. Looking at the pages as he went back to his desk. "Now I can see why you are a addition of the teaching staff here." This, truly was what he wanted, perfection.

"My original thoughts were you would get about 92% at best, then move on to the task depending on what you gave me... But now.... I am not sure what would be the next suitable part." He took a minute to think about what would come next.

The idea clicked in Caleb's mind. "Well, we might as well skip the basics, since all it is elements. Now, the first unit in the class will be separation of compounds." Caleb withdrew one of his hands into his robe and pulled out a beaker, filled with a coppery metal solid. He put the beaker in front of her. "Identify all the contents that are currently in the beaker."

Mahi examined it closely.
"Copper iodide, a.k.a. cuprous iodide. It has the formula 'Cu2+ + 2I → CuI2', and it is a rustyish color due to impurities. It's used in animal feed. It's an inorganic polymer with a complex phase diagram."

Daniel walked into the school, walking through the hallways. He didn't have any idea what to do... Feeling even more bored by the minute. He sighed, not seeing anyone. He let out a loud grunt and plopped down against the wall. Sitting there, he looked side to side and then looked down at the ground.

"And why do you think I said all?" He his back and walked to his desk as he talked. Caleb took out a basic bunsen burner out of it. "Of course, melting it down would be the safe route. Why? Not all things burn at the same time. At you grandmother yes, but then again I cannot emulate the heat of a medium sized star."

She paused.
"I breathe fire, but I can't control it, so I couldn't just substitute the bunsen burner with that."

"I am quite fine with this, I rarely use factors that might inevitably be unable to bend to my will." I've learned that mistake too many times before. He lit the burner. "My, this flame is going to take an awfully long time..." He tuned something on it and the flame instantly turned to a blueish white.
