"hmf....how irritating...." Kokujo frowned up at the rumbling sky and down to the odd reptilian creatures, then quickly setting off through the plains briskly. He quickly took his shuriken from his back and flung it in a high ark, causing it to end up lodged in the rubbery ground a medium distance away, one of it's sharp points sticking upwards towards the dark clouds. Sure enough, after a few moments a large bolt of lightning descended from the sky near to Kokujo, but was drawn to the shuriken like a lightning rod. Kokujo hoped this would be a reliable enough defence for him to fight without concerning himself with lightning. At least the place had an abundance of shadows thanks to the clouds.
He continued forwards towards the lizards as one jumped up, aiming it's jaw for his face. Kokujo simply ducked, the lizard missing and ending up draping itself over Kokujos shoulder. Kokujo tossed it off to the ground behind him in time to spin out of the way of another lizards jaws, catching it in the face with a back-hand blow from his mechanical arm. The creatures rubbery skin protected it from a good deal of force, but the blow had stunned it enough For Kokujo to lunge forward and stab the sharp claws of his mechanical arm into the lizards chest, killing it.
There were plenty more though. "tch....too slow" Kokujo said to himself. He reached up with his other hand, slamming it into the ground which sent a wave across the shadows on the ground. the suddenness of it caught most of the creatures off guard and put them off balance or sent them tumbling. Kokujo quickly took advantage and moved slightly forward, stamping a foot authoritatively on the ground, this time causing a wave of rising black spikes to ripple out. Though the agile lizards would have had little trouble dodgeing such an attack, the first wave had made them mostly unable to react in time, and the majority of them were skewered. the remainder retreating to regroup. Kokujo saw his chance and made his dash for the centre tower, retrieving his shuriken halfway and phasing into the shadows for the rest of the journey to avoid the lightning.

Dash huh? Hmm...what about... *Kyla took a deep breath and tried to focus a tiny bit of her golden energy into her feet. She used her golden step to dash forward, blasting fire and ice to keep the lizards at bay*

After taking care of the zapzards, the group reaches the tower. "Nice job, guys. We made it."The tower isn't exactly a lightning-rod, but rather a contained area with an open room. If anything, it's more of an execution ground because there's nowhere to go when lightning strikes. "Silver's in there. He was sentenced to execution. I doubt he's the one who did it. Anyway, according to that guy's mind....the next large bolt is scheduled to happen in ten minutes. We have to hurry."They enter the chamber, with absolutely no guards. Silver and Sierra are in the chamber, just hanging out. They're not restrained or anything. Either they escaped, or they have that much faith in the lightning. Silver notices the group and waves. "Hey guys, long time no see. Did they get you on some false charge too?" Sierra is relaxing, just finishing a bottle of whiskey via chugging. "Hey Jasso. I'm dry over here." She notices the group. "Yo. What's up guys?"Neither of them seem particularly worried about anything. They may as well have been at a bar, hanging out.

*Kyla sighs* You know...for a really cool looking place, this whole crazy floaty world is really starting to irritate me. The locals hate us despite all logic, and the fact that we're here to help them out. And then the people we're trying to go save are just chilling in Gaia's biggest natural electric chair. I'm assuming since you two aren't particularly concerned about the imminent lightning, we shouldn't be either? Oh yeah...and next time, try meeting us on the OTHER side of the rubbery lightning feild of death and lizards! *She's not really mad, in fact she's happy they're both alive and well...just put out at going through the effort to find their targets apparently relaxed and groovy*

"Hey, we come all the way though zapzap land and rubber face-eating lizards to rescue you losers, and you guys are just hanging out getting drunk, I demand expensive compensation, I'm thinking maybe an angelic halo, at the very least" Corbenik said, disgruntled.
"....false charges? So, it appears you were set up like us...." Kokujo mused, though still not fully trusting Silver "Those guards didn't seem that strong though....did you allow yourself to be captured?...hmf, you don't exactly look like your need saving" he added, folding his arms once more. At least now they could get some info from them though.

"Exactly. We let ourselves get captured. Actually, that Prometheus guy suggested that we do it. I normally wouldn't agree to this, but he said that you all would be coming. I guess he was telling the truth. Anyway, we're all here now because of the real murderer. It'll be easier to move around if the Machine Faction thinks we're dead. As for why we're so relaxed, look." Silver points overhead, the lightning bolt coming down at that precise moment. However, the bolt quickly moves to another location. "I made a lightning rod out of spare metal around here. I can handle magnetic fields, and created a safe environment for everyone else."Sierra stands up and gets another bottle of whiskey. "Besides, it's not like those stupid metal angel wannabes could take us in. They're pretty weak, and stupid to boot. Though I'm sure you already know that." She chugs some more whiskey. Anyone else would have succumbed to alcohol poisoning long ago...but of course Sierra is basically immune to the lethal effects of liquor. Kold shakes his head. "I see." He walks over to Silver with a serious face. "Silver.....is Murk alive? Someone calling himself 'the Reaper' left a message." "I don't know how, but he does appear to have returned. Now that we're all here, we can take him on. Can you still make a Requiem Sigil?""I knew it. I didn't want to believe it, but Murk is involved. As for the Sigil, that's not a problem." Sierra looks confused. Apparently she doesn't know who this Murk person is.

*Kyla gives Kold "a look"*
Murk? I don't know that name. Kold, have you been keeping something from me? Who the heck is Murk?
*She then looks at Silver* Sigil? What Sigil? We're here to get some tear thing to make the key to get to Yokoshima. What the hell is going on?

Kokujo watched the little display before turning back to the two. "I see....so it was all his idea to begin with....hmf, you think he could have told us ahead of time" Kokujo commented disdainfully. He then looked from Kold to Silver and back as the little conversation continued, being just as confused as Sierra, and a little irritated that Kold had still not told him anything about this mysterious 'reaper' who he now guessed was called 'murk' or something of the sort. "....so....who or what is this Murk you speak about?" Kokujo asked "....I think it's about time we got some answers, since he seems to be well involved in our little trip now....and you and Silver seem to know so much..." Kokujo said.

"How annoying. I try to keep my past behind me, but it keeps coming back to haunt me one way or another." He turns to Kyla, and reluctantly explains. "Over two hundred years ago, I was part of an assanation organization. Silver, Murk, and myself were part of it. As you've already seen, Murk leaves nothing but destruction in his wake. He was given the code name 'Reaper' because everywhere he goes, he brings death. There were others, but Murk is the most dangerous. When I saw his signature phrase 'death-virgin' I had to find out for sure."
Kold walks over towards the center of the room.
"I don't really care how or why he's here, but I'll kill him again."
Kold draws Sohi and glazes it with a layer of ice. He slams Sohi into the ground and creates a sigil out of ice that he spreads over the top of the ground. The ice glows with a a pale-blue light.

*Kyla flinches slightly. A shard of her soul is in Sohi's hilt, and something about the present situation sends a jarring sensation down Kyla's spine. She says nothing. Instead of unsheathing Hien, she stands, waiting. She's upset to find there's more about Kold that he never told her. She gives Kokujo a worried glance, but doesn't say a word*

Kokujo glanced sideways at Kold, at least satisfied that they had gotten a straight answer finally. "I see....so do you think he's after revenge on you two?..." He asked "...If you already defeated him once then this shouldn't be too much bother. We can make this worthless feud quick then get back to why we're here in the first place..." he added, not wanting to waste more time than was needed.

"Not exactly, Kokujo. The only chance we have against him is as a group." Kold looks to Kyla. "I've lived a long time. There's so much that I'd rather leave unsaid. Some things are just not worth remembering."Blood drips down from above, with a crazy/malicious voice following. "Ah, fresh blood today!"A figure stands on the outer ring of the building. He's holding an over-sized, serrated scythe with blood dripping down from it. He swings the scythe, and the sheer force of it cuts the building apart. Now there is only rubble around the group. "You called? All of you death virgins....won't be for much longer!" He looks over to Silver. "Hmm......? Isn't this a surprise. Jasso Kinzoku....Silver.....I thought your partner finished you before." He looks over to Kold. "Well well, if it isn't Kold. My favorite hypocrite. And they call ME a Reaper." He laughs, as if he heard the most ironic joke ever. Kold glares at Murk. "Shut up. Die." "Tsk tsk. Always to the point with you, isn't it? You haven't changed at all. Are you really going to kill me again? Just like you did Silver, Mantra, Sord, and the others?" "Murk....how are you here again? How is it possible?" "I could ask you the same question, but I'll humor you. You see, that blabbermouth Zehuti Faust animated my body with necromancy and borrowed my soul from Hell. I guess you could say that I'm a Zombie with a mind. I don't care if he does work for that Yokoshima guy, It's just good to be back in the Living Realm again. Killing here is much more rewarding, heh heh."

*She rolls her eyes at Kold* Yeah...ex-wives, past as a malicious assassin who "killed" his one partner, the other psycho you were teamed up with. Quite a lot of information you didn't bother to mention to me.
*She unsheaths Hien, its sheath ripples away as it turns into flame and vanishes. She points it at Murk* Ok ugly, we don't have time for this. We have bigger things to deal with, and you're in the way.

Kokujo didn't have much time to discuss it further with Kold, before the person in question showed up. Kokujo shielded his eyes as the place was decimated by the odd man and the dust settled. He lowered his hand and glared at this 'Murk'. There was something very wrong about this man, something beyond being a reanimated corpse. Kokujos grey eye stared directly into his, and what he saw reflected was nothing short of insanity, the eyes of a person who had lost their mind to battle. People like that were more often then not, very dangerous opponents. Never the less Kokujo made an effort to show no emotion, besides his usual self-important air.
"Hmf....so, Yokoshima was behind this after all, how unsurprising.....I guess you must be the welcome party in his sick games. I suppose a simplistic and twisted mind such as yours is perfect to be puppeted by a necromancer..." Kokujo addressed him,
He glanced over at Kold again. Apparently the two shared little love for each-other. Although who could blame Kold. Murk was hardly a nice past to have suddenly come knocking on your door.
"....I don't really care why you're here, Murk, but if you wish to get in our way, then I'm sure we will be happy to send you back to Hell...." Kokujo addressed Murk again.
"Hey! Muck or whatever Kold said your name was, I feel I should tell you that you forgot to wear shoes today, I sure hope you took a bath before coming here. The Overdude demands hygiene from potential allies...I mean....enemies, of course..." Corbenik quickly corrected himself, looking innocent

"Who cares if I'm being used. As long as I can kill people, it makes no difference to me who I work for. That's how it's always been for me."Murk responds to Corbenik by saying, "When I was alive, I liked to feel the blood of my victims between my toes. Though I can't feel anything now, since I'm a zombie."He looks over to Kyla and gives her the same look a 5-year-old gets when he opens presents on Christmas. "You'll be my favorite. I'll remember ripping your curved body to shreds for weeks!" He moves forward and lets Hien stab him in the chest, and he makes no reaction, probably because he can't feel pain. Kold is utterly disgusted and royally pissed at Murk for making Kyla his target. "Murk, you sick b*****d! You're not laying a finger on her!" "What a freak. He doesn't seem concerned about revenge or anything. He's just a lunatic." Silver loads his guns and prepares to fight. "I definately think this isn't going to be easy...."To be continued....
