Ian stared at the two people near him. Each appeared to be suffering through a weird emotional struggle inside.
His heart beat loudly within his chest and his throat compressed with fear.
He was seemingly losing everyone around him, even those that he didn't know all too well. Emerwyn, and the other - Julian - he remembered finally. Both were lost, as he was.
He took a gulping breath struggling to have his throat open as he stared at the blood dripping from Emerwyn's mouth.
FOR WHAT?
Again that question came to his conscious thought. For what was he here, for what was everyone around him going? What did he need to do?
And his throat cleared and he could draw a proper breath. Everything seemed to be covered in a foggy haze. He couldn't feel anything, there was no pain, no sadness.
And most of all, no fear. He, Ian Campbell was not afraid, at the most inconvenient time that could have possibly happened.
Emerwyn crumpled and Ian reacted, he ran over stripping on the soear in his foggy haze and getting a moutful of dirt by Emerwyn.
Spitting it out he grabbed a hold of her and held her wondering what he was supposed to do now, stuck in the jungle as he was.

Julian was scarcely aware of anything at all. His head lolled awkwardly forward, glazed green eyes taking in the sight of Ian holding Emerwyn.
His lips twitched...his eyes darkening. The walls in his mind had broken down - Cheshire was sitting beside him. When he spoke, so did Julian.
"...And with you dead, the Jabberwock will join me in the dark...."
Julian shuddered, his claws still digging a bit into his chest over his heart.

A warm rush spread through Emerwyn's entire body as Ian held her. She let out a sigh.
But then, she choked. The sweet, warm sensation, turned to a burning, seering pain. She cringed in his grasp. He eyes shut tight, and her throat closed up. She couldn't speak to turn him away. She didn't know whether it was because she was sick, or deep down she didn't want him to go. But either way, his touch was killing her, and all she could do was sit, trembling softly.
And listen. Listen to the words coming out of Julian's mouth. They sent all-too-familiar chills through her body. A sick feeling of guilt and fear coursed through her.

Ian didn't quite understand what was happening.
He sat there holding her as she trembled searching his weary mind for some way to help her.
He then saw Julian, with his claws poised on his chest. "Julian! No!" he shouted setting Emerwyn down gently and jogging to the cat-man.
"What is going on?" he asked him putting his hand on Julian's arm, worried.

Julian's glazed eyes blinked at Ian, numbly registering that he was touching him. He blinked. And again, a bit of the fog clearing.
...And then...slowly...a grin crossed his face.
"...I tried to warn him, but he didn't listen, did he?" His voice was a purr. "Julian didn't listen, and now Julian is-"
But he stopped all at once, his eyes clenching shut and his body awkwardly wrenching away from Ian's touch. His breathing was hard and through his teeth - his jaw was locked shut again.
His hands twined into his hair, grasping either side of his head.
Without the mental barriers, he was trying to be too many people at once. He grinned, he shook, he clawed at the sides of his face, trying to remove the muzzle....
...He had to decide on who he was right now, or things would just keep spinning around.

Emerwyn felt another confusing mix of emotions as Ian left her.
But Julian needed help; Ian was right. More help than she did. But could she help Julian?
At the sound of Cheshire's voice, she leapt up. But he did not last long. Something was seriously wrong with Julian.
A horrible lump remained in Emerwyn's throat, and she slowly came to realize just what it was.
She couldn't speak. That would be about the worst idea. Then what could she do? Ian didn't understand what was going on, at least, a deal less than she herself did. And Julian was going through a serious mind struggle.
And Emerwyn couldn't speak.

From the corner of his eye Ian could see Emerwyn stand and he heaved a sigh of relief. That was one less thing to worry about.
What Ian could now realize was that Julian was crazy. Just as crazy as he was he thought.
When Julian grabbed at his face Ian reached over his hands and tried to grab Julian's, to prevent him from self harm. "Stop it! Thou will get hurt if thou keeps this up!"
Ian stared and felt his stomach roiling as he felt the fear come back in waves. What was going on, why was this happening?

Who? Who?
He struggled to get his hands out of Ian's grasp, grinning his manic grin and lashing his tail, all the while eyes clenched shut.
Cheshire? Alice? Julian? All of them, all at once? No....
...No. He was....
'...Join me in the dark....'
His eyes snapped open, blinking...his movements stilled.
Slowly, he slid his gaze down to his hands.
Then back up again.
Julian locked his eyes with Ian, a strange fierceness in his gaze.
And...he wasn't smiling.

.........what happened?
Emerwyn was paralyzed with fear. Julian's lack of movement was far more unnerving than his fierce struggle.
She feared for Ian, and prayed he'd clear away.
"Join me in the dark..."
Emerwyn absorbed what he said. The Jabberwock? What did he mean? All of the things Cheshire related to Alice... all of it was linked to something real. What was the Jabberwock?
It was too much.
She opened her mouth.
She screamed.
"IAN!"
But it was a little hard to understand.
She fell forward, as a surge of red released itself finally out her mouth.

Julian's gaze was scary. There was something in there that made Ian's heart drop to his stomach.
He wasn't smiling and Ian could hear Emerwyn choke out something from behind them.
"Damn" he cursed and edged backwards from Julian, fear highlighting his green eyes.
Ian was unfamiliar with what Julian had said, but even he could understand that it was nothing good.
Cernunnos, please help me. Please
But the strength he had know then was here no longer. Ian could do no more than stare at Julian and hope that nothing worse could happen to Emerwyn.
His knees started to shake and he found himself starting into Julian's eyes staring, hypnotized by the unwavering gaze.

Very, very slowly, Julian pushed himself into a crouching position, the claws on his feet digging into the dirt. As Emerwyn cried out and fell, his gaze darted to her - but he said nothing.
Slowly, he turned his head back to leer at Ian, a low growl erupting in the back of his throat.
He was moving more like an animal than a man right now...dark hair flopping around his eyes.

Emerwyn's whole vision was clouded with red. Her face was red, her hands, and the ground before her.
Her mouth trembled, weary, as though she'd just vomited. And her head was so light, she couldn't focus on anything.
Anything but Julian. The one, swift gaze pierced her. What was he going to do? What was he going to do to Ian?
Had something awoken inside Julian when he heard her say she loved Ian?
The way he moved... The Beast was out.

((Pardon the interruption - but it's difficult to catch Islanders asleep - so assume that this will happen the next time the group of you drift off heart ))
Emerwyn and Julian - Whenever you sleep, your dreams are VERY vidid and disorienting and ... imaginative - but not necessarily in a good way. When you wake, your 'wonderland' is even more... vivid. Your vision is accented by colors and strange movement. You might see things that aren't even there. You are uninjured beyond what ever injuries you had sustained previously, but think about your character under the influence of a hallucinogenic drug such as LSD a really heavy dose of shrooms. You have sapience - you're not completely out of it - this isn't some comical bumbling about, but given the situation, it really feels as if the world is out to get you more than it was before. The whole thing lasts around 12 hours.
Ian - Emerwyn smells really nice to you. Even if she's been separated from you, you can follow her scent - something that feels pulling to you and every fibre of your animalistic nature. It puts thougths in your mind that seem to push your attraction for her even more. ((*cough* Deer Pheromones*)) Emerwyn, in her state, and less further changed, may or may not notice her aroma. This effect, unlike Emerwyn's condition, will remain in effect for at least 2 days, unless she bathes.
Things already complicated just got more so.

NEW RP
Awen decided to walk a little bit before her legs got too used to the water. She had been spending much too much time there. Besides though she had seen Chubbs and Joliette she hadn't seen Lauren anywhere. Worried she had gone to look for the tall blond girl.
By now her skin had lost that nice sheen it had when wet and her skin was starting the have that rough dried feeling to it. Her feet were sore from stepping on the million rock or stick combo since she left the water.
She sighed a little bit. "Where are you Lauren."

Lauren was in her own little grove of the jungle. A pile of arrows had laid beside her and know she was widdling on what appeared to be a bow. Her eyes looked distant upon her work as if looking past it and her arm had what appeared to be new cuts with old blood crusted over them.
She looked as if she hadn't ate anything the last few days.
She heard a familiar voice although it seemed a little odd through the fog of her hunger. Her knife slipped, cutting her clawed finger a bit. "********!" She yelped but soon after laughed a bit.
