Haradhel nodded to those who asked for something, then turned to Cindy and Triton. "Anything for you two?" she asked.

"I'd like some ale," Elrohir put in innocently.

"You get to wait until the guests have been served," Haradhel told him, tapping the top of his head and hiding a smile. "Have patience. You're like a child."

"Elnara," Donovan supplied before Lin could, "But everyone gives her a lot of nicknames, I think Lin has one too."

Everyone seemed to like to call her Nara with some sort of tack on at the end.

Aliya meanwhile had decided that the twins were just fine with getting on and off a horse and had decided to end the lessons then and there so that they wouldn't have blisters at the end of their first full day there. After all, if Donovan was planning to go north, as he had indicated, there would be lots of time for that.

She had heard some shouting earlier (which admittedly had been part of the reason she had stopped the lesson so early) and wanted to see what the commotion was all about. Since there was nothing out of order outside, she concluded that whatever was happening, was happening inside, and so it was that she was leading Feng and Ryu into the house.

"Haradhel! Elrohir!" she called out as she ran inside and looked around. "Is everything all right?"

She spotted the group of people sitting in the dining room through the glass door and beckoned for Feng and Ryu to follow her inside.



Serenity tilted her head curiously at Cindy. "Did he know her when she first arrived in your world?" she asked. "Or not until after she was better already?"


Elros chuckled again. "I gathered that from 'Nara-sissy'," he agreed. "And for the life of me I couldn't think of any names that it might have been taken from."

She shook her head, "Lore met Elnara about two months after she came back to live with us."

Which was probably the safest way of putting it, she didn't want to mention the previous man who courted to Elnara. It might upset Elrohir and Serenity and Donovan really did not have a high opinion of the man.

Well... no one did.


"Aww... now it would be hard to lose us!" Feng replied as she walked into the house.

It was perhaps most noticable that she was walking, not bouncing walking, but walking.

"Would you three like anything to drink?" Haradhel offered as they entered. "I'm getting some for everyone else anyways."

She was slightly confused ... she was under the understanding that Aliya's family was quite close to Serenity. The way Ulani told it, Serenity pretty much lived out there ...

"Feng! You're not suppose to pounce on people," Lin gave her sister a glare/pout from where she sat.

Donovan chuckled, go figure the mer would do something that... odd.

"Feng, someone is going to step on your tail if you don't get up."

"Water," Ryu replied, "Err.. for the both of us," he added as an after thought.

Since neither of them drank alcohol and weren't fond of milk. Cider he feared the sugar in it, no matter how small would set her off again.

"I've been goooood," Feng grinned as she scooted her butt up to sit, "Keeping busy, we're here to learn how to ride and gain some real experience. Besides we get to be out of the house in a place that isn't the school. Not that hanging around school isn't fun, but there's not that many people to talk to. Well.. there's the Second World, but there's not enough people our age it's kind of depressing, or at least no one our age I would actually talk with."
