Well all the songs I have played for the last 3 years have been great. My teacher has a great sense for good music..
We played lots of soundtracks and such
Jurassic Park
Lord of the Rings
Pirates of the Caribbean[ Loved playing it. AMAZING]
Star Wars
Polar Express: Was hard but amazing.
Ave Maria..

And some pretty decent festival pieces.
Im glad Im not in a marching band..

Lucky Marching SUCKS!!!! especially when your drum major is an A**

Kommandant Wiesel
Nintendo Punk 05
Sleigh Ride, Stars And Stripes Forever, and Malengua

I have to agree on Sleigh Ride, but I must brand you as a heretic for wanting to burn a Sousa march. Shame on you!

the worst version is jingle bells forever. its the worst arrangement of jingle bells overtop stars and stripes. also, being a member of the Kittanning Firemens Band, from Kittanning, PA, i play a lot of music like that, so it doesnt bother me.

Music that shouldn't be burned:
2 O'clock jump

Music that should:
circus bee, sing sing sing,

Songs that suck @$$:
The US Field Artillery March -Sousa
Gavorkna Fanfare -Stamp
Every Granger piece with the two exceptions of Linconshire Posey and Shephard's Hey.

gavorkna fanfare is a great song. our band did it for a marching band show along with allegro barbaro and changing states. i also know the guy that wrote the song, he teaches not far from my house.

Hm...lets see. Clemenza De Tito for WW Choir, Windfall for Woodwinds, Eye of the Tiger (I'm so SICK of it I could throw up), Smoke on the Water, Mars and Jupiter of the planets series, Rememberance, That Rainy Day, Celebrate, Jump, Sleigh Ride, and Pegausus. That's all I can think of for now...

Songs that shall forever be honored in my weeee mind.
1.Ride(I never played it, but the higher band did and the alto sax solo was played by a kid who should go pro!)
2.Havendance
3.Chorale and Shaker Dance II
4.Overture for Woodwinds
5.Phantom of the Opera Music
6.Star Wars Music
7.Saberdance(I love this song!)
8.Lion King Music
9.Matador(alto solo piece)
10.Perilous Voyage
11.Fire!

I'm going to stop because this shouldn't even be here...lol.

fire was a great song. especially since we did it for concert band, and then wrote a drill for it and marched it

second suite in f

i loved the song, but finishing off with fantasia on the dargason as the last movement sucked, especially doing a fast 6/8 trumpet part with the equivalent of 16 or 32nd note runs

i do understand that some songs just suck, but most of the time, if i dont like my part, i just switch. its alot easier when you can play multiple instruments.

Mambo No. 5

Remember that one song by Lou Bega from like, forever ago? Yeah. Well. We played it in concert band my freshmen year. I had two notes in the whole song, and the same rythm (dotted quarter note, eighth note, half note) in almost every measure. Gawd.

Marchs that the horns have to play a off beat ompah. For marching music I would say: Flash and the Horse

Spongebob Squarepants and the Incredibles theme....at least for flutes.

(Trust me. stare )

Mostly Squarepants because of new triples and speed.
Incredibles isn't that bad,but the flute part has the highest notes ever!
(Ok,maybe I'm exaggerating,but still,they're pretty dang high!)

no music should be burned it is a matter of freedom of speech ninja

but I think that all Britney Spears songs or those songs by female artists who are prefectionists and make little girls put high standards on themselves, I think that mary kate and ashley dvds should be burned or destroyed since they have for example ruined my sister and made her think like them!!!!

even though this is one of my marching band songs, i HATE Takin' It To The Streets.. in the beginning i loved it, but i just got sick of it after the 100th time i've played it..and the whole song for clarinet is playing G and ocassionally an E flat.. all it is is quarter rest quarter note, quarter rest, and so on until we get to the melody
