Are there any specific rules on spawning a hollow to fight? Because I was thinking of spawning a weak one for Gabriel to butt heads with. Is there a level limit or something I should know about?


Only moderators can spawn NPCs above level 5. So anything below level 5 is fair game.

That's the only rule I know of. :Sweat:

Pretty much, level 5 is the cap. If you want something a little stronger, you'll have to catch a moderator. I'd be happy to create a hollow, but be warned, they're fairly strong, and if you want something too heavily over your character level, you need to be prepared with an extra person, just in case it's a little too much for your character to handle, y'know?

Ah, thank you both. I was only intending on spawning something between lvls 1-3, so nothing too fierce yet. I don't want to accidentally kill off my own character. xD

An example, methinks, would be best to assist you.

Battle System Thread
Reiatsu Sense: A passive skill that allows you to feel other beings reiatsu. This skill also allows you to feel the type of reiatsu a person or being have. "Hollow, Shinigami, human, ghost, Vizard, arrancar."
Reiatsu sense use: This skill is mostly used as a counter skill for Reiatsu control. This represent how skilled you are at sensing reiatsu even when suppressed or hidden.

When trying to find someone who's reiatsu is hidden you must roll a d20 + your skill modifier.


'When trying to find someone who's reiatsu is hidden you must roll a 1d20 + your skill modifier'. What Kenkaru means by this statement is that you must add your skill modifier to your 1d20 roll. Simple. By what's this "skill modifier", neh?

The way that your skill modifier is calculated is simple enough. It's simply the amount of "10s" that are in that specific skill. For example, let's say that you have 40 skill points in your Reiatsu Sense skill. That means that's 40 10 = +4. Your skill modifier for that stat would be '+4'. So whenever you need to sense another person's reiatsu you do a quick 1d20 roll with that +4 added to it.

The other skills are nearly the same, but are meant for different uses. Kidou, for example, using the "per ten" skill modifier to increase a spell's damage and the increase the user's bakudou times. Zanjutsu skill modifier are the same, too, but have different bonuses. To read more about these bonuses go to the battle system forum and read into the thread posted therein by Kenkaru-sama.

If you want to achieve Shikai quicker than most, you should beef up Int/Rei in the first level. How much you do, however, is completely up to you. However, in order to achieve Shikai/Bankai you must do the following.

Shikai Requirements:
  • Level: 5 +
  • Reiatsu: 30 +
  • Reiatsu Control 30+


You start with 40 stat points to spend on your stats. Then you receive 4 points each level. So getting to level 5 gets you (since 4 x 4 = 16..) 16 stat points. You can afford to have your reiatsu stat start at 14, but that's only if you want to pump only your reiatsu stat for the next four levels. So Reiatsu pumping will be important. I suggest you start with a good stat # for Reiatsu, like 18.

Bankai Requirements:
  • Level: 40 +
  • Reiatsu: 100 +
  • Reiatsu Control 120+


From level 1 to level 5 you get 56 points to spend. That should be able to get you to Shikai. However, getting to Bankai is tougher. The reiatsu requirement for Bankai is 100 Reiatsu, which is quite hard to do in my opinion. Since (40 - 5) * 4 = 160 stat points, you have only (160 - (100 Need Bankai Points - 30 Shikai Points) = 90) 90 stat points to place amongst everything but Reiatsu.

Focusing quite a few stat points on intelligence will be important, too, since 120 skills do not just 'pop out of no where'. Since you want to focus on Zanjutsu, I also suggest placing those 90 points amongst Constitution, and Strength. Do not ignore Awareness, though. Awareness is normally the stat that allows you to survive those monstrous rogue-types that sneak off into the bushes (imagine Ichigo vs Byakuya. Ichigo snuck up on Byakuya like 20 times during their battle, and Byakuya definitely suffered for it). It'll be a tough fit, but methinks you can choose which is best for you.

If I were you I'd set my initial stats like so..

Str: 14
Agl: 12
Vit: 16
Awr: 12
Int: 16
Rei: 18

But you needn't do that. You can sap some points from Awareness and pump strength more, or make you Agl stat 0 so that you can pump your Rei or Str stat more. It's all personal preference. Whatever you think you'll enjoy will be the best set up for you.

But I have outlined the -bare minimum- for the achievement shikai/bankai. Pumping reiatsu is a must, and intelligence pumping is a must as well. With the remaining stats you should place points into them according to your preference. Good luck. :Sweat:

Q: Using my stats ... could you approximate what level I'll achieve shikai?

'cause personally...I've tried at least 7 times to figure it out...and came out with completely radical answers. No consistensy whatsoever.

If you want to quickly get your shikai and some vitality, since you have alot of dodge and strength already... you can obtain shikai at level 6.
Your Level 6 stats, bonuses from training not included since I don't know what you'll get.

Hello, I would like to be a fast and intelligent shingami, but I don't know exactly how to go about it. My stats are locked right now, but I think I might have trouble down the line. I don't want to be to weak in anything. I would like to be even just in case my tactics don't work on my enemy. I will become captain I swear it. LOL, just a funny thought right? Ha ha ha. I figured since I am weak in almost everything my shika and bankai would suffer greatly. So any help would be great.
