Claire managed to say between two contractions. She looked up at Boone. He looked worst than she did. She laughed slightly, forgetting about the pain for a minute.

And that was another thing he was good for; the comic relief. Boone smiled a bit, glad that he could help make Claire laugh.
"Don't worry, I won't pass out." He hoped so, anyway. Lifeguarding was certainly not the same thing as being in a delivery tent.

Claire laughed once more, but another contraction came. She squeezed Boone's hand and closed her eyes.

Boone really hoped that it would all be okay for Claire. So far it seemed to be going pretty well, but then again, what did he know about labors?

As she heard the 'three', she pushed as hard as she could. She was so glad the baby would finaly be out.

*Jack took a small swiss army knife out and propped up the scissors*
Boone would you like to cut the umbilical cord?

It was times like this that Boone was really glad to not be woman. If he had been in Claire's position, he would have passed out by now.

She kissed her cheek and smiled softly.
