Rei laughed at Caleb's comment.

"I just don't think you're very good at it," he said. From the stairway, Grovyle hobbled down the steps in a daze.

"Hey there, Gex. Did you protect the package from criminals?" he joked. The Grovyle just looked up at Rei blankly. The Aquan shrugged, figuring that his Pokémon probably ate too much and was sleepy. He took his bag from the Grovyle and returned it to its ball.

"I guess you're not the only one tired, Countess," Rei said to his bat. She squeaked in reply. It was too soon for Gex to be tired. What was he doing?

Rei woke up to the sound of his Zubat screeching away.

"Augh. Countess, it's too early..." he grumbled in protest. The screeching was accompanied by a loud hoot, which immediately snapped Rei into full alert.

At his window, a large Noctowl sat at the windowsill, tapping occasionally on the window, a rolled up letter attached to its leg. Rei blinked, unsure if he was still dreaming. He stayed up late watching some fantasy movie involving magic and owls, but...

Rei rose from his bed and opened the window cautiously, his Zubat ready to send a Confuse Ray at the stranger. The Noctowl, however, showed no desire to enter the room; instead, it stuck its leg out impatiently, as if being a messenger was beneath it. Rei untied the knot at the bird's foot, and the Noctowl abruptly flew away.

"Well. This is silly," he said to his Zubat. She nodded in agreement. Who doesn't use email or text messaging these days? The Aquan opened the letter and read aloud for his Zubat to hear.

"'Good day, Mr. Hikari. It has come to my attention that you have recently arrived in Unova.' Pfft. We've been here for a while now, right Countess?" She bit his ear.

"Alright, alright, I'll keep reading. 'As a member of Team Aqua, you must have encountered Unova's Team Plasma by now. They are a vile organization that both of our groups wish to see vanish from the land.' Well, vanish isn't the word I would pick. 'We have a common foe; why not be allies,, if only for a moment? Meet me at Castelia City's Prime Pier. -Sabras'"

Rei frowned upon reading the name of the sender. He remembered that name.

"Well, Countess, what should we do?" She pulled out Rei's TADS in reply.

"Tell the group? Why?" She responded with silence, letting him guess.

"You think it's a trap?" The Zubat nodded. Rei rubbed his temples with his hand, then took the TADS from the Zubat's grasp.

"Fine. But only because I think the rest of the members should know about this. I'm not the representative of Aqua, Maddy is." Rei typed the entirety of the letter and attached it to an email, requesting any available Aquans to meet him at the hotel lobby. He sent the message, gathered his things, and sat in the lobby, lost in thought.

Rei looked down at Caleb.

"Not Plasma. Someone who wants to work with us. Not sure why," he said with a frown. "They're not exactly the kind of people I was expecting to help us." He rose from his seat.

"I suppose the two of us can go and see what the person wants," he said, "and report it back to Maddy if it's an offer or something,". The Aquan led the way to the meeting place, hoping he wasn't walking straight into a trap.

Rei looked down at the message and stopped in his tracks.

"No way in hell I'm going alone," he muttered. The Aquan pulled out a piece of paper and scribbled an email address to it, then put the paper in his Zubat's feet.

"Find Sabras and give it to her," he said. "At least we won't have to rely on paper messages." The bat nodded and flew off into the night. Rei slowly made his way back to the hotel, trying to take his mind away from the day's events, but to no avail.

Allen had been walking through the hallway, on his way to a nearby Kalosean style restaurant. But on his way past a room with it's door cracked he heard a familiar voice, he knocked on the frame of the door going out to eat with friends would be better than going alone.

Lydia looked up at Allen before floating up above him to take a peek inside the room, she immediately noticed the familiar bottle. So THAT'S where it went! She pushed through the doorand waved at the friendly faces... Well, one friendly face and the other... grumpy? Mmmm, nah, just generally unhappy.

"Lydia, what are you.... uhhh, hi." He waved sheepishly at the room's current guest.

"O-Oh..." Allen squinted, looking at the bottle then at Caleb, then back and forth and back and forth again. "Wait... That bottle is the one I got for Maddy a while ago." He muttered to himself. Lydia plopped down on the bed next to Caleb. She bounced around for a moment cheering. "Uh, Caleb you know the drinking age in Unova is 21, right?"

Allen's expression mocked Marshtomp's. "Yeah It's mine-- Hey you know... you should come out with me for some coffee or... y'know... not wine." He was incredibly worried that someone might walk by see that a 19 year old was totally wasted. Actually... Nah, really no one would be that perturbed by it, thinking about it. But still.

Lydia on the other hand was having a ball! She grinned, watching Caleb take another swig of the delicious drink, her plan was a little different but this would have the same outcome.

Allen shrugged, fair enough. He looked at the device, picking it up off of the dresser top. He tapped the little phone icon. "Hello, this is Caleb's phone, but he's a little... occupied right now."
