He cleared his throat. "And you, fair elf. Why all the amor, if I might ask? Is there a war? Should I be preparing myself for battle?" He relaxed a little bit, though kept an eye on Malik and his swords.

Zahara was completely oblivious to what was going on in the other room, all her concentration was on Sevilin and what he was telling her. Conjure her fire? Alright. If you say so. A few moments later she sheathed her dagger once again adn then closed her eyes muttering those same incantations she always used. Faerie fire filled her hands and she opened violet eyes, glancing at Sev as if to say, 'now what?'

She blinked at that. Fair elf. How long had it been since she was addressed as such? Quite the long time seeing as the term wasn't used favorably in the underdark. It was usually 'surface elf' or some other derogatory term. What a nice change, and thus it earned a melodic laugh from her. "War indeed, against the very subject of you two's talk, Dimitri. But if you're around us I say you should. Trouble follows us like wolves to blood."
Sevilin got a serious look about him, as if he didn't have one before, and held out his right hand to Zahara. A few whispered words under his breath, more so screamed in his mind than anything and their respective circles shifted colorrr ever so slightly to tinge yellow as well as the runes on Zahara's person. The fire in her hands promptly jumped a little then burst brighter and held up the intensity to the light. "Get a feel for that, the altering of your own magics. Then give me another one of yours."

She jerked slightly when her fire burned brighter and she could feel it hotter in her hand. She glanced down and saw the runes shift in color slightly but she just kind of shrugged it off. This wasn't so bad. Now what would happen if she did her poisonous cloud? She moved the fire a little bit in her palms and then allowed it to die in her hands. A black cloud replaced it, ominous in appearance and she waited to see what this would do to the circle beneath her feet.

He tilted his head at the laugh, not really understanding it. "Why is there talk of my father? I was with Ton when the man was slayn.....I then here this word 'liched,' and sm unsure of it's meaning." He had nothing on his person but a broken dagger and that locket. There wasn't really much he could do to prepare.

A slight grin, going and getting his plate from teh kitchen, setting in on teh stove a few moments to heat it, and then back to Din and Piper.
"your relations are the reason I prefer alive and useful, to dead and useful. Piper did you get anything to eat?"

Sevilin watched her, mind piecing together what she was doing and activating runes according to how they were needed. He may not be able to teach her runes herslf in a days time but he could teach her to get used to the feel and manipulate the runes themselves he had put on her person. Another shift and a another rune stood out more than the rest a little, color of the circle tinging a black. Basic potency enchanment.
"Oh so when we talk about your bad things it's 'we' but when we talk abotu my bad things it's 'her'. I see how it is now Lord D'vinn." She gave him one of those mock upset motions, crossing her arms lightly. Armor wasn't so bad really. But back to Din. "Licthed...the living dead so to speak. With concious thought and what not." Then a look to Malik. "Yes, I did. I indulged in travel food when me and Zahara went out with the horses this morning."

Well that was neat. She watched the circle turn black and smiled softly. Of course she really didn't think she was doing anything and that's what she wanted to learn. She let the poison die and then looked at him. "Okay, so now I know what you and I can do as a team. Now why don't you teach me something I can do for when you aren't around." She needed to know how to use these runes and the runic circle by herself, didn't she? Yes she did. She took great pleasure in being able to do something, even though she wasnt' doing it. It was wild watching that circle shift and different runes start sticking out. Now she just had to learn how to do that.

"Oh I see. Father ever was one to create alot of trouble. And to tihnk we thought all this time that he was dead."
He shrugged. "I'm not all that certain how usefull I would be dead. Weak flesh, weak soul I'd think. Nit much usefull about me there." He smiled at the both of them.

"Well...you're too young for a lot of them. I don't think you'd even be able to manifest teh self energy that it takes to make a rune, takes at least ten years of base practice on the one skill alone. Learn then in a day...I think not." That was right...he was telling her that she couldn't do it without him.
Piper shook her head lightly. "No doubt Meilikki and Roake seeing you around will spur thier interest. Who know's Din, you may be a very key in this battle. Then again maybe not, but that's just as well too." Hm...posseser...that was a rather useful little trait.

Well that didn't go over well with her. Someone tell her she can't do something? Nope, not goign over well at all. Those hands clenched and she was about to yell at him adn tell him that she oculd do whatever he could and he'd better teach her. But then she remembered th erole she was supposed to be playing and sighed. "Are you telling me that all I can do is bring out my own magic? I can't even scribe a simple rune?" Was Malik going to like hearing that? Probably not. "What am I going to tell Malik? He expects things and he doesn't take no for an answer." She sounded slightly upset, this wasn't a good thing. "Please teach me Sevilin. Please?"

"The things Malik wants can not necessarily be accomplished. He wanted a rune mage. A rune mage's primary job is to be a support system to his fellow members. He's gotten one in me. D'Vinn can't honesly expect someone to just learn Andallian rune magics within a short period of time. Took me over two hundred years of constant training to master the art."
That was somethign Malik was just going to have to live with. But the tone in her voice intrigued him....devious creature trying to lure him into a false sense of security. "I suppose I can try at least one I know of that can come from your natural knowledge of it." He walked over to her, runic circle merely moving with him. "Slit your wrist."

And once again he was telling her it was impossible. No, not happy. Malik wasn't goign to be happy, he was going to yell and then Piper wouldn't be happy either. Why is this so hard? It's just learning thins. It hadn't taken her long to learn most of the craft of the priestess, why should this be any different? She tapped her foot slighlty, that was a strange request. But she wasn't going to ask since he said he'd teach her one. She took out her dagger and flipped her left hand so that it was palm up then drew the sharp blade across the skin of her wrist causing droplets of blood to fill the line turning it red. Not a sound from her at the cut though, she simply stood there, her wrist bleeding and waited.

"Put your daggers away and coat your fingertips with your blood." Then a look off. "NYm come here a moment."
The ferret who had left his person earlier to sit on the steps chweing on his coin returned to him now, hopping across the floor and climbing up his clothes to run down his arm and sit in Sev's open upturned palm.
He held the ferret to her. "See the symbol on his head. Copy it two times, one on either side of your wrist. Then slit your wrist again and copy it again largely on your palm."

"I will never understand how you can stomach travel food but not the prefectly fine meals that get prepared. and the little girl isn't coming. her and moonstone aren't around. chances are moonstone took her to find her father. Onyx himself is looking forward to going. and that's the reason Zahara adn Sevilin are coming. I can't trust them here alone. Din will simply replace the child in the group."
Then back to Din.
"Death means little to a practitioner of necromancy. I would not be surprised if your father allowed Ton to kill him to complete a the spell or ritual this plane uses to achieve Lichdom."
