Hmm, how to find Planet X...
Whawhwhawhah what if we just follow those planets out there?

Wait, I got it! If we just follow those planets, we'll find Planet X!

Is it just me, or are people making a big deal out of Senator Palin's moose hunting habits?

No, I'm serious. What the hell is wrong with hunting moose? Its just a meatier Elk. And its not in danger or anything. How about we get over the fact she's a woman and she's an active sports(wo)man and focus on the real issues.

It's an attack on support of gun rights. But the reason why the moose in particular is because while alaska is chocked with quite a few of them, down in the 'lower 48', hunting moose isn't commonplace. you go somewhere else. It's exotic, which would make it seem more... extravegant?
It makes her seem more like she's proactive, instead of reactive, makes her stand out more. And as the media is more democrat, the saying that best fits the situation is "the nail that sticks up is most likely to be hammered down".

Or maybe it's just that the media is retatrded and just looking for a ratings boost.

Not just alaska. Vermont and other New England states have an overabundance of moose. Hell, just check the Maine state records on moose related auto accidents. They're not exactly rare.

True, but in politics, image is everything. The lower 48 like to think of themselves as one unit. while you are correct, in fact, moose can be found all along the canadian border, in comparison to the other 36 states or so, such creatures are rare. and catering to say.. Georgians or arkansas people, they are more easily suaded with the imagination.
At least, that's my reasoning.
