"It's something you should care about. It won't just go away if you choose to ignore it." Paradox told her with very sad eyes. It would never go away, no matter how much you ignored it or ran from it. Things he had lived generations with. "You were right before. . . That we are similiar." Paradox let out a breath that he had been holding. "The only good that will come from us is the good we make of ourselves. We both have power that could destroy everything people have worked with for millenia, but we can't just get rid of it. It isn't that easy."

Norg waited outside the castle, flipping a gold coin he had won from a little game of luck in the taverns about the town. The coin landed heads up in his outstretched palm. "2047" His thumb flicked the little coin into the air again, and it hit his palm just the same. Heads up. "2048. . ."

Paradox looked at jack, and then back to Katherine. "I have heard that innocence is bliss and duty is a mountain. I have said that freinds are a welcome burden, and enemies are a hated distraction. But I am still a fool in everything and that is what makes me wise. Katherine. Your much braver than I have ever been." Paradox said to her, smiling beneath the mask of a helmet he always wore. The twinkle of the giant's eyes were almost seen. He knew he was maybe an inch or two taller than jack, but he was still jealous of the man. "Envy. Jack. Envy."

Norg caught the next toss in mid air. He never acknowledged the man walking by, but he smiled all the same. "I'm not that vile, sire. Just whittling my time away." He peered down at his clenched fist. It slowly opened up to reveal a bent golden coin, heads up. "2049"

"I never said that you said such a thing, sire. Just, betting at a time like this? completely absurd, irresponsible. Only a complete idiot would do such a thing, sire." Norg said to the other. He was working hard to keep his smirk from blowing into fullblown laughter. The man apparently thought it was hilarious. He didn't wait for any more offerings. He just walked in, shoving the gold piece into one of his pockets.

Paradox looked at the sleeping form of Matachi. "I wonder what he would do if you left for good?" Paradox asked, watching the sleeping king.

"He would watch the children. He would teach them what honor is." She said quitely. "I am stripping away everything good about him slowly, we are all watching it happen." He had yelled at her that day, almost threatening.. she had never herd him like that before, not ever. Only when he thought she had given up. "I don't understand why he puts so.. how he thinks of me. How you as well Paradox." ((edited)) Katherine glanced to Jack then back to Matachi. She didn't know who he ment. "Before our first lives or during?" Wondering if she could figure out who he ment. It really didn't matter but it was a nice thought.

He smiled a bit walking around like he knew the place like the back of his hand because he did. "I made a bet tonight. I will win it to." He said with another clever smile. "I only ever make a bet i will win though."

Paradox eyes never left Matachi. "I think he would hunt you down, and bring you home." Paradox said with a chuckle, echoing Matachi's words to his own question. He ignored the last part of Katherine's questions. It wasn't important for her to know. Not yet.

Norg laughed. "That's the difference between us. You only take bets if you can win them, and I only win if I take the bets, sire." He laughed even harder at adding the important 'sire' at the end. The man abruptly cut off his laughter as he neared a door near them. He had a lucky feeling about that door.

Matachi sat up smirking "What was this conversation of you and me eh." he said smirking as he seemed fine but not in any real pain

Katherine placed a hand on his sholder he had sat up in her opinion to fast. Though now the door opens. A Man walks int that Matachi knows for sure there was no way he couldn't Katherine does as well at once. If her face wasn't pale before it was worse now she looked towards Matachi then back to the man. "Di-"

"Did i break? Cave under the pressure of pain. Surely my dear you know me much better than any of that." His dark gaze swam over the room the men asemebled there Jack the ever presesnt shadow Paradox the forgiveing friend and Matachi who always got the blunt of everything. The man would walk in with him.
