Marshtomp grinned and placed his hand on the back of his head. He couldn't help it if he had been caught off guard by Allen lurking around in the woods. Yay petting!
Caleb shrugged off the fact that Allen wasn't making eye contact. "Yes she did..." he replied. Noivern stood a bit straighter, looking pleased. Looks like someone had finally noticed! Caleb raised an eyebrow at her before sighing. Hopefully the attention wouldn't go to her head.

"Well, she looks in top form anyway." He cleared his throat, "So, ah, you headed anywhere in particular?" He was really only asking to make conversation.
One of his Pokeballs shook slightly before there was a flash of light and his Banette was out in the open, "Mm? Oh, Lydia." She looked at him, then to the other trainer and waved.

"Probably back to the hotel...thinking about finding a place to get a fossil examined. I forgot it was even in my bag...it would explain why the damn thing was so heavy though." Caleb and his pokémon waved to Lydia.
"She doesn't seem to really like her poké ball much does she?" Caleb pointed out. It was Marshtomp's turn to look smug. Not every pokémon enjoys being in a ball Caleb. You silly.

"Oh, hmm I heard about a museum in one of the cities south of Castelia having a fossil research center." He gave a shrug, "I can't quite remember the name of the city though." He gave an apologetic look then looked to Lydia, "Heh, yeah, she does like being out in the open, but she's never really given any sort of dislike to going in." She shrugged, circling her trainer a couple times.
Then a quick but mischievous look crossed her face and she bumped into him, knowing full well she could have just passed through him if she wanted too. He tumbled forward toward Caleb "ACK!!"
Then a sound echoed through the forest, "DUM, AND AAAIIIIIIIIIYEEAAIIIII WILL ALW--" Allen quickly wormed around in midair to grab hold of Lydia and run off into the wilderness with the sounds of Whitney Houston fading all around.

"I'll have to look into that...if anything I can always send it back home to be examined," he shrugged. He could only imagine the shipping fees for a rock though.
Caleb just watched Lydia as Allen talked about her. Round and round she went. She was probably one of the most pleasant ghost types Caleb had met so far. His Rotom was loud and liked messing with electricity. Even if it meant causing the power to go out or destroying a device. Caleb couldn't really say much about his Pumpkaboo. Perhaps he should take it out of the storage system finally and interact wi-
Caleb had missed the mischievous look that Lydia had given, but he couldn't help but flinch when Allen suddenly tumbled his way. Then Whitney Houston echoing throughout the forest. Caleb couldn't help but stare. The shock on his face was priceless. Dumbfounded, he stood there as Allen zoomed off into the trees.
"Well that was a thing..." Caleb muttered. Seriously though, what was up with that playlist? Perhaps Caleb would help make him a new one. Marshtomp's laughter was cut short when Caleb called him back to his ball. Caleb climbed on Noivern and gave her the order. A running start followed by a bit of flapping and they were up in the air. Back to the hotel!

High above the moonlit ocean, a wild Salamence sees an unfamiliar Pokémon flying nearby. He's never met a Noivern before, so he decides to go in for a closer look. Salamence draws level with the other dragon and glides in from the side.
"Salaaa?" he cries in greeting. "Eon...." answers another voice nearby. "Ence?" Salamence responds to the new voice, then looks again at Noivern. Now he sees what the warning was about: Noivern is carrying a trainer!
The blue dragon flaps his wings to gain a little speed, and in doing so reveals his own passenger, a Flareon! Neither Pokémon is in the mood to be captured tonight, so Salamence changes course. As the moonlight glints off his belly, several battle scars light up in pale silver, and then the pair are gone.

Allen looked around the lobby, finding himself alone aside from the old woman at the desk. He gave a short wave before noticing his own Banette sitting behind the desk next to her. "There you are. I was wondering where you disappeared too." She grinned and floated up to her trainer, she turned and waved before Allen noticed the soft music playing from Lydia's body. "I've really gotta fish that thing outta there." Lydia giggles and looks to the hallway, wondering what everyone else was up too perhaps one person is specific? Who knows.

Caleb put his backpack on as he made his way downstairs to the lobby. After doing a little research, he had discovered that there was indeed a museum south of Castelia. In Nacrene. Caleb cringed at the mere thought of going back there. Team Aqua hadn't exactly received a warm welcome before. Not like he had really been noticed before though. If he could just slip in and out of the museum without any problems, that would be nice.

Allen looked up as he heard someone walking down the stairs, when he noticed it was Caleb he looked away pretty quickly, "Yo." He called out. Lydia danced for a moment and waved at the other trainer.

Caleb looked up when he heard Allen. "Oh hey..." he answered, waving back to Lydia. "Gonna listen to some more oldies today?" Caleb asked.

Allen's face turned a bright red, "Th-They're good songs!" He frowned looking up at the teammate, panicked. "And I don't even know how Lydia got a hold of it..." He looked at her, "Or even how she plays the songs, to be honest." He squinted at her in a moment of suspicion before looking back to Caleb. He cleared his throat, "You look dressed to go somewhere."

Caleb shrugged. "Not going to judge...but that unique playlist though..." Caleb rolled his eyes, "you probably left it laying around somewhere." He was silent as he pondered for a moment. How did she play the songs? It was definitely a mystery yet to be solved. "Found out there was a museum in Nacrene...so I thought I might go check it out," he pointed out. He adjusted his backpack. It honestly felt like he was carrying bricks in his bag.

Rei poked his head out from his research, his head pounding. He looked down at his notes, momentarily perplexed at the diagrams and scribbles on the papers. He shook his head, as if to clear his mind from the haze of sleep deprivation.
"Ugh... I need a break." At his closet, a Zubat poked her head out. She hadn't heard Rei say anything coherent for the past week. Gliding down to his shoulder, the Zubat brought a pamphlet and placed it on Rei's hand. The Aquan blinked a few more times, patted his Zubat on the head, and read the pamphlet aloud.
"Huh. 'Nimbasa City: Lit by the Flash of Lightning!' Sounds..." The Zubat gave her biggest frown, her way of saying don't-you-dare to her partner.
"...electrifying." A loud groan came from Zubat's mouth.
"Ha! Sorry, Countess, you know I like to bug you." He continued reading the pamphlet, flipping through colorful pages. Satisfied, he pocketed the paper.
"Perhaps we shall go there sometime, Countess. It seems fun." With that, he rose from his seat, stretched, winced at the popping sounds his back was making, and made his way downstairs to the lobby.

A high pitched shriek emitted from outside, followed by a series of flapping sounds. Then touchdown as Caleb's Noivern landed outside the front door.
"I really wish you wouldn't make those sounds...it attracts way too much attention..." Caleb warned as he climbed down. Noivern looked at him smugly. She loved the attention. Hence why she does it in the first place. "At least your landings are getting better..." Caleb sighed as he stretched. Noivern gave him a look. Maybe if he would stop eating so much junk from the vending machines, he wouldn't be so heavy! The extra weight did make things a little difficult.

The shriek of a banshee made heads spin. The Countess tilted her head; the noise was different, but familiar... She gestured Rei to go outside, impatiently flinging a bottle of sunscreen lotion at his face. The Aquan laughed; it wasn't often his Zubat wanted to go outside. He applied the lotion on his bat's delicate skin, then watched as she zoomed outside to meet the Noivern.
Rei headed outside as well, equally intrigued by the noise. The two greeted Caleb and his Noivern, Rei noting the weird looks Caleb was getting by the crowds of Castelia.
"Hello, Caleb. Congratulations, Noivern," he said to each in turn, his Zubat already flapping wildly around the Noivern. She was so happy for her friend!
