King Bug Sounds ridiculously awesome to me. I'll level with you though, government intervention saved my life. They made me a WARD OF THE STATE ( not really ) and made me live with my grandparents. The government interjecting itself into the privacy of other people has done more for me then freedom ever has. If I lived in a world where people could continue to freely and willfully make horrible choices and mistakes then I'd be in a substantially worse position than I am now. but KB With all due respect. They did that because, and I'm assuming because I don't know you, you decided to ******** up. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't ever ******** up. I smoke weed occasionally. I don't want to be punished because you ******** up and couldn't make a reasonable mature decision. I don't drive high. I smoke in the comfort of my own home or the homes of my friends. I'm not hurting anyone, not even myself. I could go inside my home, eat a bunch of candy and end up dying of diabeetus but I don't because I know that eating too much candy is bad for you. I still eat candy some times, but I do so in moderation. I don't want anyone taking away my candy because one day I might decide to be a fat a** and eat too much of it.

Nah, they did it because my mom became a crack addict and they didn't think a 12 year old should be heating the house with a stove, babysitting his younger siblings, and eating fries once a day while the parents were locked in a bedroom for 20 hours at a time. It didn't seem wise to them that people hopped up on drugs would kick in the front door and rampage through the house. On the flip side, is ignorant people going, "waaah, I don't want the government to watch me in my house because someone will see me masturbating to donkey porn" or "waaah the government shouldn't tell me not to smoke crack because its my body". Those people who don't really understand the evils of freedom will never truly appreciate the value of security. They'd rather be allowed to have some petty amount of privacy at the expense of girls getting forced into prostitution because their parents pimp them out, or s**t like that. You're probably one of those types of people.

However it has nothing to do with what we are talking about. We are talking about Marijuana. Not Guns, not child pornography, not meth, not crack cocaine. We are talking specifically about Marijuana. What we are talking about is something that is unless used to an extreme is harmless. I made the comparison to candy for a reason. Sugar and caffeine are ultimately not dangerous drugs. However they are things that can be abused, they are things that can be used in excess. The same can be said about marijuana. What cannot be said about Marijuana can be said about the comparisons you used. Child Prostitution is a problem because children are not at an where they can offer consent by making an informed decision. Donkey Porn, like you mentioned, is a problem because animals cannot offer consent. Crack Cocaine is an addictive drug, thereby taking consent away from an otherwise mature adult. While the person is addicted to it, it has extreme and debilitating effects on the body. The same cannot be said for Marijuana. Marijuana is not the same as a firearm. You can't light a blunt and take away a man's life. Guns allow a person to take away several right to life with ease. I don't however think that guns should be banned, we just need reasonable gun control. Come on KB, you are an adult, I am an adult. Lets talk like mature adults and not start throwing insults. I'm not gonna disrespect you like that and I'd appreciate the same from you.

I spent like.. hours wandering around dizzy as ******** until I found a friend's work and got hold of them. I think the clerk thought I was special needs. I was too tired to correct them, sounded ******** killer.
And keep in mind I'm weirded out right now but. While I actually agree with KB, that state intervention is typically more sound than not --- marijuana's fine. It's inevitably going to become legal nation wide, taxed, and become an over-the-counter product.
In fact, the only detrimental part to it's the lobbying keeping it from happening. And I don't even touch weed.
My grandfather was military police for a good while. He had to deal with retards coming on base drunk as s**t. They were nasty little bastards when drunk. But marijuana? Relaxed, maybe a tiny bit paranoid but really just easy to coral and deal with.
If we're allowed to have cigars, cigarettes, and alcohol - marijuana's no worse and in some instances better.
