Ms. Raiton shook her head. "Oh I would have noticed if he had his attentions somewhere else." She moved back behind the counter and yelled back. "Dear, come meet Kai's girlfriend.
A voice called back, "Kai's back? Then, he has a girlfriend?!" Followed by the sound of things being pushed out of the way and an asian man poked his head out of the door and walked to Selina. "Hello, I'm Mr. Raiton." He dusted flour off his hand and held it out.

Kai was fuming silently. "Can you two stop it?"
Kai's dad smiled at him. "Of course son, hold on a second, I'll get you two some chow." He hurried out back to the kitchen and started getting to work.
