Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross Chloe Lockheart Bakasensei Cross He let them continue in silence, until they reached possibly one of his favorite rooms in all of Headquarters: The Library. He led the way into the entrance hallway, a large circular room with tasteful ceiling murals and floor tiles.
"Is this alright?" He asked quietly.
"This is fine." She answers him back, smiling at him.
"The way the library is set up isn't quite like most libraries. First, there is the entrance hall. That's where we are now. From here, the Library branches out, but in separate rooms. You see all the doors?" He pointed out 6 doors that spread out around the wall of the entrance hall.
"Each one leads to a separate branch of the Library. They all contain selective materials of similar nature. And, because this is the Order, and they have to make everything confusing, they don't label the doors. Fortunately, I know this place inside out. It was a refuge from my earlier days." He laughed, thinking about his younger self.
"So..you came here a lot to hide from people or just to hang out?" She asks him, she looks at him as well, curious still.
"So, choose a door, lovely" She smiles at Cross, that's something she can quite understand. Back in her little..'home' she always had a place where she can escape to and be in her little world, while her parents were fighting. Cross asked his question next and she honestly had no idea where to go. So she choose the first thing that came to her mind. "How about the.....middle one.." She suggested, pointing towards it and looking at him.
There was a long pause until he finally said, "There are and even number of doors, doll. There is no middle."
He chuckled, but stepped towards the first door out of the three on the right side of the room, opening it for her, "Ladies first, lovely."

"Indeed it is, doll. You'll see why in a moment."
He continued a bit further, and finally they reached the back wall, which it turned out was lined with large glass windows. But this wasn't what he wanted to show her. He traveled a bit along the back wall to the left, before reaching their final destination. There was an ornate wooden door ahead of them, that obviously lead to a small inner room of this branch of the library. He turned around and grinned at her a bit, obviously enjoying the surprise.
"Are you ready to see?" His face was lit up with enthusiasm, very uncharacteristically so. It was obvious that this was something that meant a lot to him.
