I've actually been watching a channel on youtube called YO! Videogames. At the moment, they are releasing videos of a playthrough (with commentary) of a game called Asura's Wrath . . . the thing is absolutely nuts, but seems oddly light on actual gameplay. It looks more like a show that you get to play parts of. Highly entertaining, but glad I didn't shell out $60 for it.
Episode 1, I'll let you guys decide if you want to watch more. Currently, they are up to 13 videos.

Oh, Asura's Wrath was that game w/ Hindu mythology. It certainly looks crazy! xd

I may not know the mythos . . . but the game is freakin nuts. The commentary does a brilliant job of making me want the game with the completely over the top visuals.

Oh yeah, it's ridiculously over the top. That's the job of a good Let's Play, ultimately, selling the game to the viewers.

Ah, well that works. Granted, a game from last gen should be pretty cheap now.
There have been some interesting announcements at this year's E3, including Infamous Second Son's standalone Last Light DLC: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/06/10/e3-2014-fetch-playable-in-infamous-second-son-dlc

I've heard- and believe me, I am interested! I believe her power (neon) is my favorite of the few given for a good path. A good mix of speed and precision. IN August, I hope to pick it up.

All right. It seems some of Sony's announcements include PS3 still, so there are some games that would work for you if interested.

I keep my ear to the ground, and am not done with the PS3 as long as something interesting comes up. I admit, I haven't paid any attention to that console lately other than my library. In fact, I was even thinking about my quasi-extensive library of games for my PS2 still. Games that I enjoy, were I bothered to reconnect either of my old copies of that console. I even keep a handful of PS1 games! Things like FF VII and Xenogears . . .

I mostly mentioned that since Sony is shifting gears to PS4 only. It's great that you kept your old consoles and games. I've done the same w/ my Sega Saturn and Sega Dreamcast.

I don't have much for the PS1 left at this point . . . though as said I have FF VII and Xenogears for both the collector's value and to say "I have these awesome games." I also have a really lame game called Space Gryffon, the very first game I ever played on the Playstation. That is just for sentimental value. biggrin

I completely understand wanting to keep some of those for collector's or sentimental value. My entire Saturn library is nostalgia for me.
