Dan let out a sigh of relief, glad someone from Unova knew of other pokemon from outside their region. "Yeah what Chirp said. As for a Safari Zone, well, it's a place where you can catch pokemon without using your other pokemon. Anyway, remember that Protector we went through so much trouble to get? Well I wanted to use it to help Goliath evolve into a Rhyperior. So, I need someone to trade with" Dan explained.
Pulling a pokeball off his belt, he sent out the Rhydon who had a lazy look on his face. Dan proceeded to fish through his bag for the Protector Hawk helped him find. Once he found it, he had Goliath lower his head as Dan strapped the orange plates onto his head.

Sekushi jumped when he'd heard the explanation for the Safari Zone. He ignored his bruises and moved his gold bag aside. " Do they have Doduo there?" he asked excitedly. With a Dugduo, he could get around a little bit more quickly and catch with his team members. It was still a bird that only worked on land but it was better than nothing.

While Hawk and Dan talked, Chirp snuck away to the kitchen, hoping to find some food there. She wasn't starving or anything, but she just had gotten used to not being hungry all the time.
Hawk finally got up, and cast a glance at Chirp as she left. "Catching pokemon... without using your pokemon? Sounds like me before I got a full team. Does that make me a hipster?" He brushed himself off, imagining sliding onto the battlefield, a textbox saying: "Hipster Hawk wants to battle!" ohwait, had Dan said something? dangit, what did he say?! "Yeah sure, I can do that." Hawk said. "What would we need for that, again?"

While adjusting the Protector, Dan turned his head to Sekushi. "I don't know. I think they do. But Doduo are in the wild out in Kanto. I want to say near Celadon but it might have been Fuschia..." he trailed off.
Finally fitting the Protector onto Goliath, it looked like an orange helmet fit for his head. For reasons unexplained, even for him, Goliath loved the item adorned to his head. Dan then recalled the giant pokemon back into his pokeball.
"There, all set! Now all you have to do is trade one of your pokemon to me for Goliath here and then we'll trade back. Terashi said Goliath had to be traded while holding the Protector to evolve so...yeah" Dan explained to Hawk.

"Try it again, Ralts." Sub said to his young Ralts as he hurled a Leppa Berry at the young Psychic type. The pair were down in the training room, practicing Ralts's Confusion attack. "Ralts!" Shouted the Pokemon as it focused on the incoming Leppa Berry, an aura of pink energy would surround the fruit as it stopped in midair and began to float in place. "Good job girl!" Sub said with a smile. The Ralts giggled as she brought the Leppa Berry over to herself and took a bite of the berry, Sub just smiled in return.

Chaos leaned on the wall just outside the entrance of the training room, looking in. Despite Eddie mentioning something about it at some point, Chaos had no idea this was here. Probably wouldn't know what it was if he did, if he hadn't been watching Sub train his... whatever that was just now.
Chaos smirked as the... thing ate the berry it was given, then he turns around wordlessly and walks away. The location of the training room was useful information.
Useful information, indeed.

"There, all set! Now all you have to do is trade one of your pokemon to me for Goliath here and then we'll trade back. Terashi said Goliath had to be traded while holding the Protector to evolve so...yeah" Dan explained to Hawk. "Ohhhhh I see. Then Let's do this thing. Do we need to use that trading machine?" He asked, fishing through his bag for a pokemon. It really didn't matter which he traded, but he felt as if the one he did would be.. different. More traveled than the others. And so he finally fished out Eight's pokeball. "I'm ready! Let's do this thaaaaaang!" Inside the Kitchen, Chirp was sitting upside down in a chair, eating Jerky and watching Her Venipede crawl on the wall. She'd never really liked bug pokemon. They didn't scare her, or even seem gross. It's just their moveset didn't appeal to her. "Venipede, use Bug Buzz." she said, causing the pokemon to stop and look at her, then continue going.

Dan grinned and shouted "To the machine!" He made his way over to the very complex looking trading machine. After inputting a few things in the machine, he placed Goliath's pokeball in the slot above a funnel shaped tube. "There. Then we just have to pull this lever and we're set." Still, he was a bit skeptical and a bit curious as far as this machine went.

Hawk followed Dan, mimicking his cry of "To the Machine!". Once he saw the thing, he frowned. it looked so Retro, and nothing like the sleek things he'd seen in the Unova pokemon centers. Speaking of retro, "Hey, why does Everywhere outside of Unova have their shops outside of the pokemon centers?" He asked, only really knowing due to the usual counter's absence from what he's seen. While he asked, he placed Eight's ball onto the slot and after fiddling with his side's buttons, he'd pull down the lever excitedly.

Pulling his lever aswell, Dan began to wonder the same. "Yeah you're right. Maybe Sol would know, he's a super smart guy right?" At least Dan always saw it that way. It took a while before both pokeballs were drawn into the machine. On the small screen protruding from the trading machine, the image of a Rhydon and a Chandelure could be seen. The two images swapped sides and the pokeballs were spat back out. Before Hawk or Dan could touch them, Goliath's pokeball burst open and the giant Rhydon emerged. He began to glow and slowly get even larger than he already was. The tail got the shape of a boulder at the end and his entire body was adorned with the Protector. "It worked! He evolved into a Rhyperior!" Dan says excitedly. Goliath was taken back by his appearance, still not used to his new form.

Hawk watched in amazement as he saw the pokemon evolve. "Sweet! I got a Rhyperior!!!" He said, doing a little happy dance. ".. Just kidding. I never knew pokemon could evolve by trading them.... except those weird things.. are they bugs? I dunno, I just know they're all knighty and stupid looking." He picked up the pokeball and returned Goliath, putting it back onto the slot. "Sorry, I just kinda feel weird not having Eight with me."

The pokeballs went through the same trading process as before, swapping places and being ejected. Taking Goliath's pokeball, he sent the giant out once again. Goliath was still studying his new form and attempted to turn around. When he turned, his tail slammed into a couch, knocking it over. He turned again, trying to see what happened and came within inches of hitting Dan had the trainer not stepped back. "Whoa! That was close...Goliath careful with your tail" he reminded the Rhyperior.

Dan and Hawk didn't notice the Cofagrigus walking in. Now behind hawk the ghost Pokemon yelled "Cofagrigus!" Tsukis new Pokemon was quite a menace now. The HQ was covered with Pidgeys all using Peck to break out of their mummified wrapping and fly away. Cofa was his name, having the -grigus part worn off after someone's Water Pulse then Fire Blast. Where the indentions were for the last half of his name was pure gold.

"Why? Well, I came across him when I was lost in the building we blew up. found him before it got blown up and he saved me... or.. something. I dunno, but I was alive and he was there, so.... yeah. " As he spoke, he released Eight, the Chandelure who cheered happily.. well, it started to until Goliath began checking himself out, causing Eight to fly upwards to avoid it and Hawk to jump back, bumping into the Cofagrigus that had placed itself behind him for some reason. Hawk turned around and looked at it. "Oh, it's you. What are you doing here?" Hawk said, Eight floating down to investigate and Two floating into the room, glad to have found Hawk.

"Cofagrigus!" Cofa responded. That was Poketalk for -I will mummify you!- Skarsy was outside, looking frantically for Cofa. Tsuki had given her strict instructions to watch Cofa. His Pokemon all had bad rep for being pranksters. Except Skarsy and Blast. They spiked Tsuki's drink, gambled [cheated so much money], had drag races with the senior Snagems old hover boards, and now... mummification of random wild Pokemon while leaving them in the HQ.
God her trainer would be annoyed.
