[Prote : Disney : Library]

Prote looked up as he heard an expletive blurted from somewhere in the library. Apparently he wasn't the only one left in the library; he'd assumed none of the other Earthlings had decided to stay among the books. The voice sounded like Joe's. Prote decided to stay put. In his hands he had a rather large History of Magic tome, which he was part way through reading. He looked up again as he heard shuffling coming from the hallway leading to the library. Another Earthling?

[Dawn : Disney : Library]

After the Louis discussion, Dawn's mind retreated inwards. Her thoughts going over the last few days. Inside, Dawn couldn't picture Louis as her enemy. He helped her too much for her to see him as one. Louis was the one who freed her from Ajora's seal.

If anything, for that alone, Dawn saw him as a friend.

'I want to, need to, see him again. Try and figure out this mess. If he really is my enemy... Why did he release that seal?' Dawn kept repeating in her mind as she unconsciously walked with the group, probably bumping into someone once or twice. She wasn't sure. She didn't really pay attention to what Yen Sid or the party that they were holding. She only snapped out of her trance when the brief dream flashed into her mind. She stared blankly after it happened. Then left when they were dismissed from the room.

Eventually, Dawn strayed from the group. By the time she started to pay attention to her surroundings and noticed she was not with anyone she knew, she was completely and utterly lost. Dawn had been doing her best to back track her way to something she recognized. Wither it be a hall, room, or even a face.

"s**t!"

She nearly jumped for joy when Dawn heard the distant curse that could only belong to Joe. The dancer quickly moved to the room where it originated (Not noticing Prote when she came in). Which happened to be a maze of bookshelves. Which made her eyes gather tears and slide to her knees.

"Ugh I give up! I am staying here until a search party comes!" She yelled out as she sat in the doorway.

[[ Joe : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone ]]

'This is just getting awkward for me.' Joe thought. He felt like he was intruding on some deeply personal concerns and would have escorted himself out ages ago if sheer curiosity wasn't keeping him planted where he was.

The most recent discussion seemed to involve the branding of Noelle and Kyle, something he was already aware of. They were being told to go off the roster, also something he knew from earlier in the warehouse.

Kyle having a plan b though, was not something he knew of. Not that this was a bad thing mind you. Kyle had made a fairly good first impression on him in the short time since they had met. Still, this was quite the one-eighty from earlier.

"You seemed set on taking a leave when you were explaining things at the warehouse, what changed your mind?"

[Dani:: Disney Castle :: Festival]

“I dont mean it like that Bobbi.” Dani said to Bobbi and twirled her fingers around trying to think of a better wording. “I know we are the good guys. It just seems to me like we for now are going to constantly keep fighting. It is kinda weird to just... enjoy a festival. I mean, I was stuck in a world for 6 days with others dissapearing before me.”

Dani immediately shook her head as if to get rid of her thoughts and stared at Bobbi. ”Even though this isn't the way I would expect to enjoy a festival, I am glad to have this experience with you guys. I don't have a lot of experiences.”

[ Yen Sid ; Riku ; Kyle : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone ]

When Joe spoke up, Riku and Yen Sid both turned to Kyle with inquisitive glances. His brows furrowed momentarily in thought as he lowered his gaze to the ground, but he was only silent for a few seconds.

"Yen Sid, actually--Master Yen Sid, sorry," he began, bowing his head in a quick apology. "He brought up a number of points that... clicked."

"Oh?"

"Well, you explained that a heart is strongest when it's whole--light and darkness, accepting both. Well, I was forced to come to terms with my darkness in Atlantis," he explained, looking between the master and Riku. "My replica trapped me within my own weakened heart and brought it to the edge of breaking permanently, unless I faced my personified darkness. I almost lost--my station was shattered, and I could barely hold on, until I heard the voices of my allies and friends calling out to me."

"As terribly cliche and corny as it is, each time I heard them, each time I listened, there was a spark of Light, and my heart came back together one piece at a time. After that was the fight--and only ended in my favor because of them," he continued. "My heart was remade stronger than ever by them. But after beating the manifestation, I knew I couldn't destroy it--it was a half of me that, since Ajora was made, I was ashamed to even think about. I'd come face to face with it, and because of my friends, I overcame it--and at that moment, I accepted my darkness. So I know, by your own words, that my heart is strong."

Yen Sid looked to Riku, who simply looked back without a gesture. When the master turned back to Kyle, he spoke. "True though that may be, you still require training to keep it that strong under the strain of all this corruption."

"But Light comes from unity. Darkness can progress through isolation. This seal... I made this choice because I isolated myself from my allies and friends. I chose to take everything on myself, instead of depending on my team," he explained, continuing to analyze the seal. "Unity, and through it Light, brings strength. I know that now better than ever, both from experiences in Atlantis and your own words. So... what if I brought in those same friends to help me take this on?"

Yen Sid's eyes widened momentarily before immediately narrowing. "Such would be dangerous. You would be risking not only your life, but theirs," he responded, shaking his head as if to end the conversation.

"No, I have all the faith in the world they'd survive," Kyle rebutted, looking up now into the mage's eyes. "Two of them have already been inside my heart and ejected a second parasite, Louis. And I've personally witnessed someone dive into Dawn's heart and get rid of a seal like this, so I know it's possible. I would stay in my heart and defend it from the corruption while they dropped into the core to take care of it. Unified, we can do this. Besides, we're in the safest place in the world, and with you watching over them--if things look dangerous, you could pull them out, couldn't you?"

The wizard hesitated, his eyes searching Kyle's. "I could, yes, but the resulting damage--"

"Is irrelevant. I have faith that they can do this, and if for some reason I'm wrong, then I'll pay for it, not them. My heart will be stuck in sleep, like Ventus, right?" he interrupted, pressing his point--he'd kick himself for interrupting the wisest man in the universe later. "Then I'm stuck here either way until everything can be fully repaired."

"I already tried to tell them I'd stay behind, and it let them down. If there's any way possible I can be with them, then I'm willing to try it--and I know without a shadow of doubt that they won't let me down."

Riku looked toward Yen Sid and saw, to mild surprise, that his master was considering the offer. If Yen Sid was considering it, then it was something Riku could go for.

"Master, I could go in. I already have experience diving into others' hearts," he said, stepping forward.

"No," he said, his voice slow, contemplative. Kyle looked back into the wizard's eyes, burning with determination.

"No, this will be a task for Sora," he said, nodding, turning to face the Cornerstone in thought. "And a small group of others--those you most trust with your life."

Kyle inhaled sharply, grinning, though he noted Riku's look of concern off to the side--noted, but he didn't acknowledge. "How many?"

"Aside from Sora, no more than four or five."

Almost immediately, Kyle got Riku to send out a charm message to Sora, leaderboy Joe, and finally Noelle.

"Joe! Chance to get rid of Kyle's arm seal, but you'd have to dive in and help Kyle purge it, back in the Cornerstone room, you in?"

"Hey, Noelle, sorry to interrupt, I'm not sure if you heard, but we're getting together a small group to jump into Kyle's heart to help get rid of the seal--do you think you can help?"

After that, he paused, blinking. Who else? There was Mathy, but he needed to break more than most, after staring into the eyes of darkness itself. Who else...

"Oh, Joe, tell us who else you see on your way here if you decide to come back."

"Master," Riku muttered while Kyle handled getting the group, walking up to the wizard by the stone. "Are you sure about this? The man who put the mark on Kyle--"

"Was another of Xehanort's fiends, I know," he said softly, the conversation only being between the two of them.

"But--last time he faced them--"

"Yes, but you are already a Master. He, on the other hand, still requires a second examination."

Riku paused, looking now at the stone, into the depths of its light. "So this...?"

"May suffice. We shall see."

[Kyla: Disney Castle: Library]

At long last! The library!
Kyla had too much to think about, so she couldn’t sleep even if she wanted to- not after showing James that vision.
It was usual how she made it work- but allotted it to the fact some things just happen by instinct. Like how a painting is created- some parts not even the artist knows will appear, but they occur within the moment. So she figured it was merely a spur of inspiration and being caught in the creative flow that unlocked that particular form of projection.

Upon entering through the doors she practically lost her breath.
Stacked high, walls and walls, various colors and emblems and thicknesses, the air was heavy with the glorious paper and ink smell-
“…..aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh????…”

Kyla couldn’t contain the long exalted sigh of excitement, and practically spun in step as she talked in, looking all around her at the hundreds of volumes of information just waiting to be cracked open.

“..ooh…oh myyy…” it was more magnificent then she had hoped- but of course this WAS the library of the palace! Surely it would have some level of magnitude right? With the various wizards who lived here surely this bastion of knowledge would live up to some level of requirement for its civilians.

“Oh my goodness..” she said again and finally rushed to one side to look at the columns, there had to be an index to locate the topics she needed.
It was only then she realized she wasn’t the only person in the room.

{James : Disney Castle : Hallways}

James had walked along with Kyla after their conversation on the balcony, feeling pretty good. They had talked about a lot of different things, both important and just fun. It felt great to connect with another member of the group and to make a new friend, it always did feel good for the corsair, something that he missed to an extent living in Utah with his work schedule, he didn't get the opportunity to see many new people back home.

He parted ways with Kyla as she entered the library and he couldn't help but smile and chuckle as he heard her reactions as she entered the library, even without his enhanced hearing was pretty sure he would have been able to hear it.

'What should I do now?' The corsair thought as he continued to meander down the hallway.

'Didn't you want to talk to Yen Sid about training for yourself as well?' Fenrir asked.

'I did... but after hearing what Kyla said about it, I am not too sure he would consider me worthy to receive the training either. Guess I won't know unless I ask though,' He thought as he walked slowly back towards the Chamber of the Cornerstone where Yen Sid had last been.

{Bobbi, Zell, Nanaki, Demyx .:. Disney Castle Town .:. Festival Grounds}

Zell continued munching on his hot dog as the two girls conversed in front of him. The younger one, Dani, seemed to be really shy, while Bobbi was her normal self, if a little deeper in thought than usual. When Dani admitted to not having a lot of experiences, he watched Bobbi bite her lip a little, and could practically see the gears turning in the archer's head. He knew that look.

Zell finished off his hotdog, and watched intently, wondering what scheme Bobbi was cooking up. If the archer didn't start anything, Zell was planning on dragging Dani around the festival for some games, but…

"Really?" Bobbi asked, carefully not looking at Dani. Deciding not to answer Louis for the moment, she caught Zell's eye, and winked broadly, grinning. Zell grinned back, and Bobbi scanned the crowd for a moment. She caught a strain of melody that sounded vaguely familiar; a lively tune with a good beat. Her eyes lit up, and she grabbed Dani by the hand, leading the younger girl off into the crowd. "We're fixing that. C'mon." She could hear Zell laughing behind her as she wound her way through the festival goers.

"…where is she taking the young one, I wonder," Nanaki said, looking after the girls as the crowd separated them. Zell stood on tiptoe and craned his neck to see where the two had gotten off to. The conductor laughed when he saw what Bobbi had in mind.

"Looks like Bobbi's heading for the dancing," he told his friend as he ordered himself another hot dog. "Should we join them?" Red gave Zell an exasperated look, and Zell laughed again. "Right, you've got two left feet!"

[Joe: Disney: Library]

Joe blinked, looking up at the yelling. Apparently Dawn was in the library, fussing over...something. Maybe she got lost? Right as he was about to say something, though, there came..Kyla, he guessed. Looked like she was here, too, and excited over something.

And once again he opened his mouth to speak, and...Kyle interrupted. Though it appeared to be for a good reason. You know I will.

Right as he was about to leave, telling a broom to try to leave his stuff out until he came back unless someone else needed the room, Kyle shot another thing at him. And he just nodded to no one, leaving the library. Well, going to, but he passed by Kyla(somewhat ignoring her, he had a purpose), and then Dawn.

"Hey, Dawn. Want something to do? Come with me, going to help Kyle." He smiled at her, cocking his head in the direction of the hallway. And whether she came or not, he was off, spotting James in the distance.

Hey, Kyle? I told Dawn about helping, she was in the library. So was Kyla. You can ask her if you want. James also seems to be heading in that direction. That good enough?

[Dawn : Disney : Library]

Dawn looked up when someone ran past her, ignoring her pouting in the doorway. She blinked for a few moments as she recognized the long thick braid of Kyla.

'Well there is one familiar face..." she thought.

Dawn just stood up to start to say something to the artist. However, she was interrupted when Joe asked her to come with him, then walked off. The dancer blinked again as she looked after Joe, then back at Kyla who was already deep into something. Not wanting to interrupt anything, she followed after Joe.

"Did he get lost too?" Dawn asked Joe when she got closer, with the underlined question being what was going on.

[Joe: Disney: Hallway]

He shook his head at Dawn's question. "Not quite. That seal he mentioned he had? We're going to get rid of it. Which means diving into his heart. He asked me to see who I passed when I was on the way, so I'm assuming he needed more people or something."

He shrugged. "That's all I know and can guess, though."

[Kyla: Disney Castle> Library]

Realizing she wasn’t the only one in the room, Kyla turned around from the index table of the shelving and identified Dawn- who seemed to be upset about something and Joe who- looked like he was reading then suddenly not. After giving the brooms some instructions, he nodded to...something- wait- could he be- than began walking in their direction.

The artist looked nervously between him and Dawn, unsure of what to say. Thought it had been some time since the fight, Joe had made it very clear he was vehemently angry at her. The memory came back afresh in her mind’s eye and all those ugly feelings returned with a vengeance.

Kyla hadn’t counted on running into Joe this soon, and as he got closer and closer she began to fidget with her fingers.

But then she remembered what she and James had talked about. The new perspective she had gained in regards to Joe- and everyone’s actions towards her. She had hurt them, and rightfully it was important to respect their feelings and try to make a mends.

Joe was something she had confided in way back on the train and after all they’d been through it was one of the more important relationships she had begun to develop, it just didn’t feel right for it to be this way.

So just as he was about to pass her, Kyla opened her mouth to say something- when he completely passed her with the unmistakable cold shoulder.

Everything she thought she could try and do just died when she saw the sheer level of icy disdain in the way he carried himself passed her like she was nothing more than part of the library book shelves.
He did one step further and addressed Dawn, telling her Kyle needed their help and gestured out the door before leaving. Kyla looked to Dawn quizzically as the girl proceeded to follow.

Well if Kyle was in trouble and was asking for help Kyla would not ignore this and left the library after them.
She kept a few meters behind them and just stayed quiet as they continued talking.

Listening to their conversation confirmed he was indeed talking with Kyle through the links-
He had told Joe to gather people-...

who he passed?

The artist almost stop mid step- but quickly picked up the pace less she loose sight of the two again. She did NOT want t get lost again on the way back.

[Dawn : Disney : Hallway]

Dawn said a silent oh, with Joe's explanation. She looked back hearing someone following them. It was Kyla, who ran from them.

'I thought she was going to read....' Dawn thought looking back at Joe her eyes narrowing as she bit her lip.

"Like how Louis removed that seal from my hand..." she said softly with a slight flinch at both the memory and hoping no one would have a negative reaction at the mention of Louis.

[Joe: Disney: Hallway]

The fighter also ended up looking back, spotting Kyla. Why in the world was she following them. He didn't think he said anything loud enough to be heard...but then, it's not like he used wind to adjust anything, so who was he to know?

The went back to looking forward. His face was already blank when he heard Louis' name, so he didn't have to go neutral to resist getting angry at the name. "Perhaps. I don't know what he did, after all."

[Kyla: Disney Castle: Hallway> on route to Cornerstone]

That seal again, so he was finally going to get rid of it now?
She remembered when they talked about it and remembered when he asked her to help support his plan during the battle for Atlantica-
When Dawn mentioned Louis Kyla’s head snapped up in surprise-
Louis had helped her too??!

Just how many people knew him and didn’t mentioned it everyone else? Just like her!
First there was Bobbi, and Kyle seemed to know him too, only his darker self-
Louis was both helping and hampering them- what was his deal?? He truly did sound like someone who was split down the middle. Still she did not interrupt and just kept following. Looking up at Joe who continued to ignore her, she caught Dawn glancing back and react in surprise that she was there. Still a moment after Dawn continued to look on ahead and to Joe continuing to converse.
Joe did the same, and frankly his surprise put her off a little.

What did he think- she was deaf?
In a completely quiet place like the library- anything spoken was sure to carry, and it wasn't like he was far away from her when he said it, the two girls were practically a few meters apart by the entrance since she was only checking the index before actually entering the full dwelling of the place.

Still she continued to follow like some lost puppy. Not too close to be ...'with' them- cause it was becoming more and more obvious- she wasn't expected to come-

Why? why not come to Kyle's aid?! they were allies right??

This scene.

She was suddenly reminded of another place and scenario like this- and it left a very ugly and uncomfortable feeling in her stomach.

Some things never change.
