Indeed, to do a game runthrough (granted not in great detail), and dive into some of the lore instead of just a surface level chat. That lore dive is what makes it so much more interesting. Start with a game that you already like, and then have somebody do the legwork to tell you backstory and how things connect.
I've heard of Hollow Knight, but haven't paid it any attention quite yet. sweatdrop

So does that mean he has played the game prior to streaming it, or does he just research the lore in advance?
Despite having some time off, my days have been quite full this holiday week.

I'm assuming he has played the game, or watched it a fair amount. It doesn't appear as though he is portraying a current game playthrough, as he skips over large sections of the game to hit the major notes and points of interest. You get the lore and the story beats, but not the fumbling around to find things or solve puzzles.
Yeah, life has been hectic here as well. Hard to find time to just relax that isn't spent sleeping anymore. Well, I do watch a couple shows on Crunchyroll/Hulu/Netflix and some webcomics from Webtoon. Lore Olympus is so damn good!!!!

Ah, I see, edited content.
Not heard of Lore Olympus. Will look it up and might give it a watch if it's not Hulu-only. Of course, the new anime season starts this week, so that will more than likely occupy me when combined w/ RL matters.

I simply cannot endorse this enough. It is sweet, fun, and takes just enough liberty with the Greek legends and mythos to keep it interesting. Truly enjoyable.

First few chapters were pretty good. The art is definitely striking, and the greek gods being modern petulant party-goers fits all too well. I agree that how they skirt the line w/ regard to mythos is enjoyable, and Hades is a pretty good protagonist.

I did warn you. ^_~ It is so wonderfully told, and has such a unique style that really makes me appreciate it. The lack of detail except on the major characters keeps your attention on the moment, and really is endearing. Love it!

Much like manga, it's easy to just keep reading and have time disappear on you.
So how have you been this week?

As is typical of Life, ups and downs. The weather has really knocked me for a loop. If it was just snow, I could deal. Unfortunately, it keeps getting warm enough to melt, or rain, and then refreeze. The ice is a significant problem. In addition to that, my car needs some repairs fairly badly. I believe the brakes are bad enough to wear my traction control, and my anti-lock brakes systems are going out. The bad road conditions combined with the car problems caused me to have a minor accident a couple days ago. That was a low point. The car still runs fine, but my good headlight is completely destroyed. So I'm working off of the weaker one, and some flood lights.
I contacted my car insurance, and collision was covered. The other guy didn't get any damage at all and we didn't bother to exchange information. He was in a nice big work truck. Didn't get a scratch. I am surprised, and this is a high point, that I decided to go ahead and call my insurance. I didn't know if it would do any good. Evidently the policy currently has a $500 deductible. I don't know where I would get $500. A couple days later I received a phone call and a confirmation email. They're sending me over $1,000 to fix the car. While I am confused, and thought I'd have to pay the deductible first, they are sending me a check. Now, I have to wonder if they think it's going to be a $1,500 repair, or what's going to happen. But getting any money at all to help with the car repair is a great benefit.

This winter has been so back-and-forth. I'm sorry to hear about the accident but am glad insurance is helping out!

yeah, the damage was worse than the actual accident. In the end, I didn't get to take the car to a shop. I used some pliers to bend the hood back out of the way, and replaced the headlight on my own. Thanks to unrelated car breakdowns and life, the money got more than half used elsewhere. It runs and is okay . . . so I will just live with it at this point.

I've even heard of people taking plungers to un-warp portions of the car frame, so glad you were able to fix it well enough.

The damage is not so straigforward to the fender. I don't think a suction and yank will do it. I need to do the opposite. Straighten it out a bit. Still, I can live with it as is. Sure, having it pristene would be nice, but with the money about 3/4 spent at this point, I don't really have a choice. Didn't have the $500 difference to begin with . . . so yeah, it works. I'll have to live with it.
