[ Yen Sid ; Riku ; Kyle : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone ]
Yen Sid sighed, closing his eyes momentarily before returning his gaze to her.
"She is not the first, nor will she be the last, to attempt harm on a large scale. Note, though, that she will not be the first, nor will she be the last, that we will put an end to," Yen Sid said, his voice carrying a bit of steel as he responded. "So, regardless of anything else, you should know she will be stopped, one way or another."
"Our goal is to prevent and minimize the consequences of dark actions. And yet, any time one acts with dark intent, there will be consequences. That is unavoidable," he continued, his tone grave. "And it is something all guardians must accept. But these actions are not our fault--we cannot control each individual's will."
"Therein lies your fault, young woman, and one reason you are not yet ready--you seek control that is not yours to have. Why else would you see yourself as responsible for actions you have no sway over?" he asked, raising a brow. "She was born from you, but she is not you. Merely a fraction given a will of its own."
"Further troubling is that you speak as though you are the only one to face her. Why is it that only you are short on time? Why would the world wait to stop her until you are prepared? Why, after everything that has been said, do you still see yourself as alone in this quest?" he asked, though his tone implied these questions were rhetorical. "Remember how the dark obscures our vision. Remember how our shadows blind us to those around us. Remember what I have said about the darkness in your heart."
"Until you can accept these things, you will not be ready for training. Even still, if you were, it is quite likely that she will be dealt with before you are even near complete. No one is invincible, and in her actions she will make an enemy of our entire force. For now--," he said, his gaze locking with her own, his stare penetrating. "--you should ponder this: you do not pull her strings. You are in no way responsible for her actions. And yet, you are still consumed with thoughts of her. So, then... is it she pulling your strings?"

[Kyla: Disney: Hall of the Cornetstone]
That’s because it wasn’t exactly her- her replica she was talking about alone. In that moment- she figured Yen Sid wasn't a mind reader. Still he posed a very good question. After all she had experienced. Even knowing full well right now, she carried both a summon, and the fragment of a person piggy backing inside her own distorted heart- why did she feel so alone? Maybe it was the darkness? Perhaps it's shape had some connection.
“I’m a pretty selfish self-absorbed person, just like her. A common trait in the artistic type, but that’s not a good excuse.”
I’m a terrible person.
“-still…is there something I have the power to stop- right here... right now... if I had the courage to do it.” Her fingers tightened around her book like she was tempted with something.
“I could at the very least finish it.” She muttered meeting the wizards gaze. There was something about the way she said it. The cold tone to it. Yes, she had a way, and it was something she was trying to avoid. Then all of a sudden her face, and tone softened all together. Like one big giant emotional shrug. She shirked what dark thoughts were there and put a lid on them. The cornerstone made it so much easier.
“But I’m sorry. Your right. I’m not ready.”
Well there wasn't much else to be said. And she felt silly. Silly for not getting with the program already. Yen Sid was right, she should stop moping around.
Common Kyla join the group! Team work, and community and togetherness! Stop feeling sorry for yourself it’s not like you have to do yourself in to make things…. right-
-right?
She felt so defeated. It would have been crushing had the cornerstone not been there. Maybe despite how hopeless it seemed logically- it would all work out. Maybe everything would fix itself up without her meddling. Maybe she was replaceable?
The wizard had given her a lot to think about. As long as Kai had her trump card Kyla was indeed being pulled by her. Until she rid Kai of the hold she had on ‘her’- Kyla wasn’t going to be free.
She couldn’t join the others.
For the meantime at least she could sleep knowing the deciding time was rushing up to meet her. A strange sense of calm came over her. Like a solemnness when you know the inevitable was coming. It was eerie how much she wanted to sleep now.
“I think I’ll go rest now. Things will be probably be clearer then.” She said, more to herself then the others. Maybe fatigue was the wall between her senses and the logic everyone else seemed to be in on. With the utmost politeness, she thanked Yen Sid for his council, and with a nod to her comrades and another thank you to Riku for his help- she turned to leave, bidding them a good night
Before she disappeared out the door to the hall she turned over her shoulder and said to Kyle. " You should too you know. Get some rest asap Kyle." since he was the only other person who stayed up as long.

[Nick :: ???? :: ????]She wants to meet with me? Awwwww man, I'm so boned. So ever royally boned. Welp, maybe I can get a drink out of it. Nick sighed, rising to his feet. He wrapped his arms around his ribs and coughed, his body shuddering in surprise. "Shiiiiiiit, need to get this healed soon. Alright, Elleon, let's see how well I can negotiate."
Alright, Elleon. Surprised you even agreed to this, but I'm currently in the deep south. 1930's. Dress appropriately, we're heading out to dinner, love. Place we're meeting is called...Café Du Monde. Hee hee hee, Contact me when you're here~
Darkness swirled around the Avatar of Chaos, changing his partially destroyed outfit into a black suit with a matching Homburg hat. Kneeling down, he picked up his sword and sheathed it carefully. He winced, but forced a large grin on his face.
"Showtime."[???? :: Disney :: Hall of the Cornerstone]Meanwhile, at the castle, a figure would appear in the corner of Noelle's gaze. No one else would be able to see or hear him, and anyone who walked where he lay would keep going as if he wasn't even there. He was dressed in a short sleeved white button up shirt, a pair of blue slacks, black socks, and a pair of black work shoes. A Gatsby hat lie firmly placed upon his head, and a white apron lie atop of him. A white oval nametag was pinned into the apron, although the name and anything on it was obscured. He shifted his head and made eye contact with the Agromancer and gave her a slightly offputting smile.
"You know, my dear, talking about me behind my back is very rude, you know. I mean, if you wanted to speak about a crazy b*****d like me, who better to speak to about me...than me?" He paused, his smile fading into a frown. "But this raises another question- Actually, it raises many. But I'll keep it simple: Who are you, why are you dressed like that, where are we, how do you know me, and why... why am I unable to feel anything?"

[ Noelle ~ Disney ~ Hall of the Cornerstone ]
Noelle listened to Yen Sid as he spoke with Kyla. The wiseman confirmed what the blonde had been thinking--Kyla wasn't in the right place to take on the training. It was unfortunate to say, but Noelle wasn't totally surprised. The pictomancer's behavior as of late spoke of her position mentally and emotionally. It was hard to tell how Kyla was taking it, she wasn't being overt about it. More lack of surprise. Noelle couldn't help but feel a little miffed as the girl left, however. She really was self-absorbed--to the fact that she assumed all artist-types were just like her. As an artist, she couldn't help but take some small form of offense. It was also hard to tell if she had made those statements out of self-realization and acceptance, or to spite those of them that had pointed it out to her. She shook her head.
And saw Nick at a side glance.
Noelle froze, looking to him in surprise. She didn't think she'd see him so soon, despite knowing it might happen. It took her a moment to react. Her eyes went to Yen Sid, trying to silently express what was happening. Whether he would get the message or not she couldn't be sure. The agromancer looked back to Nick and swallowed. He was a figment of her imagination . . . could she communicate with him mentally?
'. . . Nick?'

[Dani:: Disney Castle :: Festival]
After hearing everything that went on at the Cornerstone, Dani quietly left the area and headed to the festival in order to relax. “Wow I miss going to festivals,” Dani thought as she looked at all the dancing and games going on on the grounds.
'You had festivals back where you are from?' Leviathan asked mentally.
'Yeah we had festivals.' Dani cracked a small smile. 'My parents would take me every year three hours north in the fall to a festival or carnival. It had so many games that my mom would let me play and the food was.. amazing.'
On the note of food, Dani noticed a hotdog vendor and walked straight over. After picking up a couple of her own and scarfing them down she finally noticed a familar face. “Hello Bobbi, it seems like it has been a while since we got to chat even if it was a day or so ago,” Dani said and looked at the festival. “This festival is pretty wild. I thought we wouldn't be able to see stuff like this again.”

[ Yen Sid ; Riku ; Kyle : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone ]
Yen Sid's eyes narrowed dangerously when Kyla looked to him as she discussed "finishing it," her cold tone immediately bringing his expression to a taut stillness.
Her face may have softened. His didn't.
She apologized, conceding that she wasn't yet ready, and then she walked away to rest before he could speak again. She stopped at the door momentarily, turning to say something to Kyle, but Yen Sid's eyes watched her the whole way, his gaze unmoving save for a momentary, telling glimpse toward Riku.
Riku had watched and listened as well, his own eyes searching Kyla's expressions and body language for answers. As she walked away, he looked to Yen Sid, hoping for some sort of wisdom--only to catch his master's glance. He solemnly nodded before looking back to Kyla.
"Remember what we talked about before this, Kyla," he messaged her, hoping she would hear her charms. "Remember what I said. No matter what you have to do, as long as you stay the right course..."
He let that hang, hoping she remembered their previous conversation.
Kyle was still half in reverie when Kyla turned to talk to him, snapping him back to reality. He blinked toward her, mentally rushing to collect his bearing as his sense caught up to the present.
"Oh, yeah. I'm heading there after this," he said, shrugging toward Yen Sid. He still needed to address something. "Shouldn't take too long. Get some sleep."
Yen Sid then turned his gaze toward Riku and Noelle--only briefly catching her own shaken look before she looked off to the side. His eyes darted in that direction only momentarily--but saw nothing.
He assumed she was seeing apparitions, but could not say anything on the matter--she wanted it to remain private.
"On the subject of your training, young woman--if Riku has already tested and gauged your intent and deemed you fit, then I shall trust his decision as a Keyblade Master. However, I suggest limiting your training to time spent within this protective region," he explained. "That corruption has not yet breached these defenses, so any training should be safest here. Do you have any further questions?"

[Kyla: Disney: Hall of the Cornerstone> Adjacent corridor]
Nodding at Kyle’s response the pictomancer turned the corner to leave- She just hoped he actually did what he said he’d do. Sometimes that poor man put himself out too much. Pausing mid step a second when Riku’s voice filled her mind.
‘As long as I stay the right path. He said.’
Would he really keep that promise if she decided to do the right thing? Or was the right thing relative to what each individual person feels? Ugh- she was over thinking stuff again. It was giving her a head ache.
Still. His words did leave a small life line to hold onto for now. It was better than the silence, Yen Sid gaze of death or Noelle’s crossed arms. It was hard being honest- when there was nothing to comfort your fear or vulnerability.
She continued walking like that, seemingly the only one in the hall, turning away from the exit corridor to the outside. The party was a nice idea- but she would have time later for that. In the meantime she took a moment to take in the scenery- she couldn't remember the Castle very well. Not to mention this area was a place she never got to see very much on playing the games. So staring up at the towering ceilings and tree trunk like pillars was amazing now that she had the chance to look at them-
How much of this place did she know about. There was the throne room, the hall of the corner stone and- Oh!
“The Library.” Her mind was assailed with the memory of the brightly colored walls filled from shelf to shelf with books on all sorts of things- Maybe..
Her thoughts were disturbed by the sound of a broom’s sweeping steps as it entered from a door to her right. “ Oh! Excuse me. Sorry if I interrupted you.” The slender animated object stopped it’s pace and ..’looked’ at her? It was hard to be sure since it had no eyes. Her mind seemed to provide that iconic melody form her childhood at the sight of it and she smiled.
“Umm- I’m looking for the library- do you think you could help me?” With an emphatic wave of its hands the broom took one of her hands and began to lead her down through the door way it had come through.
' Just remember, you're not alone.'

[[Rufus : ShinRa Headquarters : Main Office]]
Rufus leaned back in his chair. With a nod he held out his hand, "I'll take the remaining two reports. Deliver your choice to Tseng. Tell him to meet up with Lucil in the lounge, she'll be joining you on this mission. Her exceptional tracking skills will come in handy if there are any complications finding our missing team."
He paused, obvious he still had more to add, "Shen, should be returning from his mission with Angela soon, rendezvous with him in the hanger when he gets back. I want him to accompany you as well."

[Joe: Disney: Library]
The fighter sighed as he turned page after page. Apparently, they had tried to translate whatever was written in here, but it was an awkward read. Not like he knew how one could translate Chinese 'properly' considering he lacked the skills....
With a loud sigh, he closed the book and tossed it behind him. As soon as the book left his fingers he let out a "s**t!" and twisted around to grab it before it hit the floor. And then avoid the stares from his outburst. But he had to remember that this wasn't his book to toss around.
Maybe it'd be better to... He found a broom wandering around, asking if it knew where the original book was around, showing off his book to the broom and then following it. And recieving a scroll. He took it to a table, unrolling it, and sighing. Well, a scroll into a book would make for a difficult translation. But the scroll was in Chinese. A language he lacked. So he settled in, using the book and the scroll to try to figure out if he could work on figuring things out on his own. Or if he'd need to move on to another book or something.

[Nick(?) :: Disney :: Hall of the Cornerstone]
"Oh good, I'm being acknowledged." He retorted, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "But you still didn't answer any of my questions. Now, repeat after me. My name is blank and we are at insert location here because of reasons. Obviously, you fill in the missing information." 'Nick' paused, letting out a sigh before muttering softly, "I'm...I'm sorry. I apologize if I'm being condescending, which I probably am, but seeing as you've taken this long to respond to me and that you're the only one who apparently can respond to me, I may or may not be about to have a total freak out and just lose my ******** mind."
'Nick' proceeded to undo the name-tag on his chest and slide it into his pocket. He quickly sat up and stared intently at the blonde agromancer in front of him. Although his face appeared flat and devoid of emotion, his chest rose and fell at an abnormal pace in an obvious show of panic.

{Bobbi, Zell, Red XIII, Demyx .:. Disney Castle Town .:. Festival Grounds}
Bobbi smiled a little as she saw the shadow of the boy dancing out of her vision. He had a good idea; she hadn't gone square dancing in so long, and it'd been even longer since she'd had a chance to waltz. She looked over to Dani, not realizing the younger girl had followed her out, and swallowed the mouthful of hotdog she'd been chewing.
"Why?" she asked simply, following Dani's gaze out to the festival. She could see people milling about, enjoying themselves, children dragging their parents along by the hand. The smiles had a slightly strained quality, as if everyone was determined to enjoy themselves, but that could have just been her imagination. "We're the good guys. We're going to win. Saying you never thought you'd see a festival like this again is like saying you think we're not gonna win. To me, at least."

[ Noelle ~ Disney ~ Hall of the Cornerstone ]
Noelle struggled to divide her attention, her tired mind just couldn't keep up. Nick looked panicked, and the last thing she needed was a frantic apparition babbling at her. It seemed as if Yen Sid might have caught her drift, but he didn't say anything, and wasn't even able to give her a moment to deal with the issue. She wanted to give Nick answers to his questions, but Yen Sid was moving forward with the conversation. The agromancer let out a stressed sigh and nodded shortly in acknowledgement of her training restrictions. When he asked her if she had any questions, she opened her mouth, paused, and then closed it again to consider those in the room. How did she want to deal with this? She needed to excuse herself so she could stand off to the side and keep the sass level at a minimum with Nick--but in doing so she might look like she was a few tacos short of a combo. Riku, Kyle, and Joe were there . . . could she afford to let them know? Noelle glanced at Nick, and in consideration for not making him wait any longer, she just decided that they would find out soon anyway.
"Yeah, just one thing." Noelle said, sounding slightly apprehensive but continuing on anyway. "Could you . . . possibly . . . explain the thing? They're just gonna find out anyway and I just need to take care of this without seeming like I've lost my mind, kaythanks."
The small blonde immediately put her head down and gave Nick a very small and short wave to follow her to the corner of the room. She walked there quickly, knowing Nick really didn't have a choice but to follow. Once there, she lowered her voice to a near whisper while letting Yen Sid explain her plight.
"Sorry, my name is Noelle, and we're at Disney Castle. Well, I'm at Disney Castle, you're only here because you're kinda like a brain tumor." Noelle cringed. Couldn't have phrased that better, could she? "The rest is . . . a long story. Just know that you're safe here, if that makes you feel any better."

[ Yen Sid ; Riku ; Kyle : Disney : Hall of the Cornerstone ]Yen Sid nodded as Noelle walked away, leaving Kyle and Riku (and likely Joe and whoever else remained) confused. "In her battle with Chaos' host, she was branded," Yen Sid began--and yet, before he could continue, Kyle had already brought his hand to his face with a groan. "I take it you have some experience with the matter," the wizard asked, raising a questioning brow. "Sorry, yeah, but continue, didn't mean to interrupt," he responded, scratching his left arm unconsciously."She was branded with his seal, and he threatened not only her, but the entire group should she reveal the brand to you. Apparently, he seeks help... with Chaos himself," he explained, running his hand along his beard. "The threat was not with harm from himself, but to outright possess her to commit the acts. She sought my counsel before bringing it forward, likely knowing that should he take control here, of all places, she could be stopped with minimal collateral damage.""Okay, I can understand that. So how do you plan to remove it?" Riku asked.Yen Sid did not immediately answer, closing his eyes momentarily instead before returning to the conversation. "I don't.""Elaborate.""She seeks to help him, if possible. And while she remains within the Cornerstone's influence, the dark aspects of the connection are severed.""But she can't stay here forever and help him.""Indeed. We will be looking into a protective enchantment, to keep the dark influence from spreading beyond the seal, while also allowing connection to remain," he continued. Kyle began to open his mouth, but the wizard held up a hand. "Furthermore, there is the chance that the dark portion of this connection may wither away under the prolonged exposure of the Cornerstone. This would allow the earthling host a lifeline, should anything go wrong... much as what has happened with Sora and Ventus."There was a moment of silence as that information hung in the air. "So the person she's talking to right now is...?""A fraction of the host that was put into the seal. He likely embedded the piece in order to keep a strong connection at long distances, which would be necessary if he did intend to possess her," he explained, nodding. "However, with aura of light surrounding us, the dark portion of the fraction is suppressed, leaving only what little light he may have inadvertently included. Those in the dark very rarely give any consideration to the light in their own hearts.""So it's similar to what's going on with Kyla, Bobbi and Louis," Kyle summed up with a shrug."Indeed, Merlin mentioned something along those lines," Yen Sid said before turning his full attention to Kyle. "Now, are you here to talk about your arm?"Kyle's expression deadpanned into a blank expression. "Seriously. That obvious. Really.""Merlin and I have decades of experience in these matters, young man. We can spot such symptoms with ease, in you and others," he said. "Now, show us."Kyle sighed and held out his left arm, and as he did, the dress sphere began to slowly dissipate. The glove vanished, the cloth wrapping began to unravel and disappear, and the shoulder pauldron went the same, leaving his entire arm, from shoulder to fingers, bare--and once more revealing the graphic markings all over his arm.The mage sighed. "From whom did you accept this?""Seymour Guado of Spira," Kyle explained, refusing to look up into his eyes, instead simply gazing at his arm. "I was unsure about the battle in Atlantica and asked for aid... I didn't believe in my allies as strongly as I should have. The power wasn't necessary in the slightest.""You grasp that much, at least. Still, it has progressed too far for a simple protective enchantment," Yen Sid said, looking at every inch of the seal. "You should not leave the grounds until such time that it can be removed safely."The dragoon remained silent, looking up and down his arm, the markings, the stupid burden he'd decided to bear that would now weigh on his team.
"And when might that be?""Due to how much it has already spread, the only course of action would be to approach the seal from within. But against such odds... you'd require days of training.""Such odds as?""Simply approaching the seal from within would likely cause it to react defensively. In short, you would have to protect your heart while simultaneously assaulting the core," he said, looking at the young man. "Had it not progressed so far, it would simply be a matter of dealing with the original seal, but with this... you are simply not skilled enough."Riku closed his eyes and bowed his head, grimacing. First they thought they might have to dismiss Noelle, and now Kyle was off the roster. The others wouldn't take this well--"What if there was another way?" Kyle asked, finally looking toward Yen Sid, searching, determined. "Would you hear me out?"The master's eyes narrowed, though he raised a brow in curiosity. "I would."

((A reminder that though the image link doesn't show it, Genesis has one black-feathered wing on his left shoulder)) {Genesis : Pocahontas London : Streets}
{{Cue : Chaotic Battlefield}}
Genesis soared through the air above a colonial version of London, unleashing large blasts of fire and homing fireballs upon random buildings. His objective not so much their destruction as just to cause chaos and draw the inhabitants out onto the streets. His seemingly wanton destruction had a purpose though, he was doing as was ordered by the darkness. He was the Chosen Legion's General and he was starting to build his army. As people began to flee from the burning buildings the brunette landed gracefully, his wing closing at his side, a pleased smirk on his face as he walked down the street.
"There is no hate, only joy, for you are beloved by the Goddess," he stated as he grabbed a fleeing man and turned him around. His gloved right hand began filling with dark energy, his own personal darkness. "My friend, what you desire is the bringer of life, the gift of the goddess!" he proclaimed as he grabbed the man's face and unleashed the darkness into him.
He watched in fascination as the man collapsed upon the ground, the darkness emanating throughout his body covering it, distorting it, mutating it. When the man rose to his feet, he was no longer human. The general shape was still humanoid but he was now clearly a monster. The creature remained motionless as it's creator grabbed another person and repeated the process, creating another monster of the same make, and then another. Such was the fate of any unfortunate being who didn't run as fast as they could. This would be the fate of the entire city if the dark knight had his way.
{{Cue: March on the Frontier}}
He continued down the street, his building army seemingly marching behind him silently, undoubtedly terrorizing anyone who saw them until they came to a stop in front of a large fortification that the winged man had seen as he flew overhead. This fortification was none other than the Tower of London, a prison. Without much effort they stormed the tower, the English Infantry no match for the dark knight and his monsters. Those who opposed him were either killed or converted into creatures themselves, it was immediately clear that the military was not prepared for this, and there had been no way they could have been.
---
At the end of his siege of the tower he stood in the central courtyard of the fort, looking rather pleased with his handiwork as he stood before his army, now over 20 strong, with the potential for countless more. If the charismatic general was fatigued from all of the energy he had used, he didn't show it.
"This is only the beginning. This tower, shall serve as our base. Go forth my army, draw out and gather as many people as you can and bring them here, this whole city shall become part of the army of the Goddess," he proclaimed raising his rapier to the sky as the monsters he created departed into the streets of London.
